Roseville Auto Repair Introduce

Roseville Auto Repair, situated at 2150 Hamline Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113, USA, operates as a key establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, providing essential vehicle maintenance and repair services to the local community. For residents of Roseville and the surrounding areas, this shop offers a convenient option for addressing automotive needs. You can contact them directly at (651) 631-9045 or via mobile at +1 651-631-9045. Based on real customer feedback, this introduction will detail the environment, services, distinguishing features, and potential promotional aspects of Roseville Auto Repair, offering an objective overview.

The **environment** at Roseville Auto Repair can be characterized as that of a small, local car shop, as explicitly noted by a customer. This suggests a more intimate and potentially less overwhelming setting compared to larger dealerships or chain repair centers. You can expect a practical and functional workspace where vehicles are serviced. While details on customer amenities aren't provided, the emphasis on friendly and helpful staff, particularly the "super nice" front desk guy, indicates a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their vehicle issues. The environment is geared towards providing straightforward automotive solutions without unnecessary frills, focusing on the core service of vehicle repair. It's likely a no-frills, honest shop where the focus is squarely on the work at hand, and where direct communication with the mechanics or service advisors is common. The small size might also imply a more personalized approach to each vehicle and customer interaction.

Roseville Auto Repair offers a range of common and essential **services** for vehicles, reflecting the typical offerings of a local auto repair station. A customer's experience highlights their capability in handling diverse issues: they effectively replaced a **dead battery** and **corroded cables** during extreme cold weather. Furthermore, they successfully addressed a "small muffler noise issue" that had persisted for months, showcasing their ability to diagnose and fix various mechanical problems. Another customer brought their vehicle in for a **leak**, indicating their proficiency in diagnosing and repairing fluid leaks. While not explicitly detailed, as a general auto repair station, you can reasonably expect them to provide services such as **oil changes**, **tire rotations**, **brake inspections and repairs**, **fluid checks and flushes**, **engine diagnostics** for check engine lights, **suspension work**, and other routine maintenance and repairs. They are equipped to handle general automotive issues that most drivers encounter, aiming to get vehicles back on the road safely and efficiently. Their service scope seems broad enough to address common mechanical and minor exhaust system problems.

The key **features** that stand out for Roseville Auto Repair, based on customer reviews, are primarily their **reasonable pricing** and the **friendliness of their staff**. Multiple customers emphasize that they "charge reasonable prices" and "don't fleece you on the price," which is a highly valued characteristic in the auto repair industry, where trust and fair dealing are paramount. The "super nice" front desk guy who "answered all of my questions" contributes significantly to a positive customer experience, making the process of car repair less daunting. This friendly and communicative approach is a definite strong point. However, it's also important to note a recurring theme regarding their challenges with **planning and communication regarding timelines**. Customers reported that the shop "really struggle with planning and communication," with one needing to "call in virtually every day to hear about the status of my vehicle ~30 min before close" and experiencing delays where their vehicle "sat untouched for 2 days" or wasn't addressed for "another 6 days later" due to "complicated repairs on other vehicles." This suggests that while the quality of work and pricing are commendable, customers should set appropriate expectations regarding the repair timeline and prepare for proactive communication on their part. Despite these communication challenges, the value proposition of fair pricing and quality work makes them a viable option for many, especially those who prioritize cost-effectiveness and live nearby.

In terms of **promotional information**, specific advertised deals or discounts for Roseville Auto Repair are not available from the provided customer reviews. However, the most compelling "promotion" for this shop appears to be its **reputation for fair pricing and honest work**. Customers explicitly choose to return or recommend them because they "don't fleece you on the price" and provide "entirely reasonably priced" services. This word-of-mouth promotion, stemming from positive experiences with their value proposition, is a powerful driver for a local business. Given their friendly staff, they likely aim to build long-term customer relationships through consistent, affordable service. While there are no listed promotions, it is always a good practice for potential customers to call Roseville Auto Repair directly at (651) 631-9045 or +1 651-631-9045 to inquire about current service rates, estimates for specific repairs, or any seasonal offers they might have. For a small, local shop, a direct inquiry is often the best way to understand their current offerings and pricing. Their appeal lies in being a reliable neighborhood option for general car repair that offers good value, even if it requires a bit of patience regarding timelines.

Roseville Auto Repair Customer Reviews

I had a dead battery that wouldn't jump in the extreme cold yesterday. I randomly searched up an auto shop near me to have my car towed to as I didn't want to take it back to the dealership where I had been going for years. They answered right away, said I could send it over (it was later in the afternoon), and they had it fixed up (new battery, replaced corroded cables, fixed a small muffler noise issue I had been wondering about for months or longer) and it was entirely reasonably priced. It was all ready by mid-afternoon and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'll be going back here moving forward.

I took my vehicle here for a leak. They fixed it fairly quickly and charged a decent price. I took it home, it still had a leak. I would've appreciated if they tested it themselves to discover this before I took it back. When I took it back it sat untouched for 2 days upon which they asked me to wait a little because they were dealing with complicated repairs on other vehicles. I came and picked it up and brought it back when they asked me to. Sadly they did not get to my vehicle until another 6 days later which was an inconvenience. This is a small repair car shop. They charge reasonable prices, and the front desk guy is super nice and answered all of my questions. It seems they just really struggle with planning and communication. I had to call in virtually every day to hear about the status of my vehicle ~30 min before close. I will likely bring my car here to get it fixed in the future because it's super close to my house and they don't fleece you on the price, but I'll just have the right expectations regarding timeline.

They replaced the front brakes on my Subaru. Subsequently, one started squeaking and I brought it back, They ground the pads (on both sides, even though only one squeaked). The squeak came back and they replaced the pads, but for some reason, they took the rear wheels off and put them back on. They didn't tighten the lug nuts, and one fell off (reported when I got new tires at Costco several days later). On returning to Roseville, they found a lug nut, installed it, and then proceeded to torque all the rest of the nuts on all 4 wheels over my objection. He said they were all loose and he torqued them to 100 ft-lb. The Costco notes said they torqued them to 89 ft-lb, but "Digger" said they should be 100. I looked up the spec: 89 ft-lbs. The charge for the work was slightly below other quotes, and the quality of workmanship reflected it. They're nice folks but I wouldn't call them "professional".

Excellent shop. Straight forward and honest. But with only two bays, expect delays. But the work is top notch.

I have taken my car to this shop a handful of times in the last few years. Dirk is always so kind and friendly to me. One time he offered to come to my house and look at my car for me. Another time he gave me a ride home after dropping my car off and a ride back to go pick up my car! They always call me before doing any work on my car to let me know how much it will cost.
