Recycled Auto Parts Introduce

Located at 640 E St Charles Rd, Lombard, IL 60148, USA, Recycled Auto Parts distinguishes itself as a specialized auto parts store within the broader automotive service landscape. While the platform category provided is "Auto Repair Stations," it's crucial to clarify that Recycled Auto Parts primarily functions as a supplier of used and recycled vehicle components, rather than a full-service repair facility that conducts repairs directly. However, the goods they provide are essential for auto repair, making them an integral part of the automotive service ecosystem. They offer a valuable resource for mechanics, DIY enthusiasts, and individuals seeking cost-effective solutions for vehicle repairs. Their phone number is (630) 495-3132 and mobile contact is +1 630-495-3132, ensuring direct communication for inquiries and sales.

Recycled Auto Parts specializes in sourcing and selling previously used vehicle components. This business model is beneficial for both the environment and consumers, as it promotes sustainability by recycling parts and offers a more affordable alternative to new components. For local users in Lombard and the surrounding areas, this means access to a diverse inventory of parts that might be difficult or expensive to obtain new.

Environment at Recycled Auto Parts

The environment of a recycled auto parts store, also commonly known as a salvage yard or junkyard, typically contrasts with that of a traditional auto repair station. Based on customer feedback, one review notably mentions, "This place is awesome considering it's Mafia history. It looks just as it did in the 80's when they were searching cars for the bodies of the Spilotro brothers." While this review offers a unique and somewhat colorful historical perspective, it also suggests that the physical environment may retain a historical or industrial aesthetic, potentially reflecting its long-standing presence and operational nature. It implies a functional, perhaps less polished, setting compared to a modern retail space, which is common for businesses dealing with salvaged vehicles and parts. Visitors can expect an outdoor yard filled with various vehicles in different states of dismantling, along with indoor storage areas for processed parts. Organization, while perhaps not aesthetically driven, is essential for efficiency, allowing staff to locate and retrieve specific components for customers. The primary focus of the environment is on functionality and the systematic dismantling and storage of vehicles to extract usable parts.

Services and Goods for Sale

As an auto parts store operating within the broader automotive service category, Recycled Auto Parts primarily provides goods for sale, which are crucial for vehicle repair and maintenance. Their core service revolves around the identification, extraction, and sale of salvaged vehicle components. This typically includes a vast inventory of:

  • Engine Components: Used engines, engine blocks, cylinder heads, alternators, starters, and other related parts.
  • Transmission Components: Used transmissions, transaxles, and related parts for various vehicle makes and models.
  • Body Panels: Doors, fenders, hoods, trunks, bumpers, and other exterior body parts, often available in different colors.
  • Interior Components: Seats, dashboards, door panels, steering wheels, and various electronic modules.
  • Suspension and Steering Parts: Struts, shocks, control arms, steering racks, and power steering pumps.
  • Braking System Parts: Calipers, rotors, master cylinders, and ABS modules.
  • Electrical Components: Wiring harnesses, computers, sensors, and lighting assemblies.
  • Glass: Windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
  • Wheels and Tires: Used wheels (steel or alloy) and tires, often sold individually or in sets.

Beyond the direct sale of parts, Recycled Auto Parts also provides expert advice, as highlighted by a customer review: "Excellent advice and great service very good prices in all parts very good people." This indicates that their staff possesses significant knowledge about vehicle components and can assist customers in identifying the correct parts for their needs. This consultative approach is a valuable service that enhances the customer experience, moving beyond a simple transactional exchange to a more helpful interaction.

Features of Recycled Auto Parts

The customer reviews shed light on several key features that define the experience at Recycled Auto Parts:

  • Cost-Effectiveness: The phrase "very good prices in all parts" is a direct testament to their competitive pricing strategy. This is a primary draw for customers looking for affordable repair solutions, especially when new parts are prohibitively expensive or unavailable.
  • Extensive Inventory: While not explicitly stated, the nature of a successful recycled auto parts business implies a vast and diverse inventory of components from various vehicle makes and models. This breadth of selection is crucial for meeting the varied needs of customers.
  • Knowledgeable and Helpful Staff: The feedback "Excellent advice and great service very good people" points to a team that is not only friendly but also well-versed in automotive parts. This expertise helps customers locate the exact part they need, potentially saving them time and effort.
  • Historical Charm (for some): The mention of its "Mafia history" and its appearance "just as it did in the 80's" might appeal to a niche segment of customers who appreciate unique local history or a more traditional, no-frills salvage yard experience. For others, it might simply suggest a long-established business.
  • Contribution to Sustainability: By recycling auto parts, Recycled Auto Parts contributes to environmental sustainability, reducing waste and the demand for new manufacturing. While not a direct customer benefit, it is an indirect positive feature of their business model.

These features position Recycled Auto Parts as a practical and economical option for those seeking specific vehicle components, backed by knowledgeable staff and competitive pricing.

Promotional Information

Given the nature of their business and the customer feedback, promotional efforts for Recycled Auto Parts could effectively highlight their unique selling propositions. Key promotional messages could include:

  • Value for Money: Emphasizing "very good prices" and the cost savings associated with purchasing recycled parts compared to new ones. This appeals directly to budget-conscious customers.
  • Expert Assistance: Promoting their "excellent advice and great service" to assure customers that they will receive knowledgeable guidance in finding the right parts.
  • Extensive Inventory: While not explicitly detailed, implying or showcasing the breadth of their inventory for various makes and models would attract a wider customer base. This could be done through online listings or by encouraging visitors to explore their yard.
  • Environmental Benefits: Highlighting the eco-friendly aspect of recycling auto parts could appeal to environmentally conscious consumers.
  • Local Resource: Positioning themselves as a reliable, local source for hard-to-find or discontinued parts, providing a crucial service to the community that might not be available from conventional retail auto parts stores.

While the "Mafia history" mentioned in a review is a quirky detail, it's generally not something a business would actively promote. However, the underlying sense of establishment and longevity that such a comment implies can be a subtle positive for some. For Recycled Auto Parts, the most effective promotions will center on their core strengths: providing affordable, quality used parts with helpful customer service.

If I could give these guys a 10 star I would. I purchased a engine and it was delivered to the mechanic shop the next day. The engine just so happen to be bad (thank goodness for the warranty), the mechanic shop I was dealing with was a nightmare. They were charging me double labor, storage fees you name it. I called and spoke with RJ first he was very pleasant. I then talk to Vince and explain to him the situation. When I say the best customer service….. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Long story short Vince worked his magic got another engine and I picked up my car with no problems. I could not praise this man anymore. I am grateful for the work Vince and his team pulled off to get my car up and running. In this day and age we live in we need more people like them. Many blessings to Recycle Auto Parts and G automotive.

Bad engine from "go". Replacement took 3 days to arrive even though they are down the road. Core and bad engine they charge for sits here for nearly two weeks. Multiple calls to pick-up get ignored. Say they will pick up tomorrow... and a week later I'm asking others to call because my 7 calls have gone nowhere. First and last time using Lombard Auto Wreckers.
