Pro-Action Suspension Introduce

For discerning riders and enthusiasts of motorcycles, dirt bikes, and ATVs, Pro-Action Suspension is a highly specialized and respected entity within the Auto Repair Stations category. Unlike general automotive repair shops, Pro-Action Suspension dedicates its expertise entirely to the intricate world of vehicle suspension systems. Located in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, with a network of authorized dealers across the globe, they are recognized for engineering, servicing, and custom-tuning suspension components to optimize ride quality, handling, and performance for a wide range of riding styles and conditions.

The environment at Pro-Action Suspension, particularly at their headquarters in Beaver Falls, PA, is indicative of a professional, technical, and focused operation. One can expect a workshop setting, meticulously organized to handle the precision work involved in suspension tuning and rebuilding. The facility is likely equipped with specialized tools and machinery necessary for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, revalving, and reassembling shocks and forks. While not a typical waiting room for a general auto repair, customers dropping off or picking up components would likely find a clean and efficient service counter. The emphasis is on the technical expertise of the staff and the quality of their work, reflecting a serious approach to performance suspension. Their network of authorized dealers also implies that each location adheres to Pro-Action's high standards, ensuring consistent quality and service regardless of the specific physical environment.

The services offered by Pro-Action Suspension are highly specialized and comprehensive, falling squarely within the niche of performance suspension tuning and repair. Their primary offerings revolve around the customization, rebuilding, and revalving of shocks and forks for various two-wheel and some four-wheel vehicles.

  • Shock Rebuild: This service involves the complete disassembly of shocks, thorough cleaning and inspection of all internal and external parts, and replacement of necessary components. This restores shocks to optimal working condition.
  • Shock Revalve: A more advanced service, revalving includes a complete rebuild but goes further by customizing the internal valving. This customization is tailored to each rider's specific needs, taking into account their height, weight, riding style (e.g., motocross, street, cross-country), type of terrain, and skill level. This personalized approach ensures the suspension performs optimally for the individual.
  • Fork Rebuild: Similar to shock rebuilds, this service involves disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and replacing worn components in motorcycle and dirt bike forks.
  • Fork Revalve: This service also includes a complete rebuild and custom internal valving, often with proprietary Pro-Action valve body pistons, to match the rider's specific requirements and improve front-end performance.
  • Spring Testing and Replacement: Springs are critical components of suspension. Pro-Action tests springs for load wear and ensures the correct rate for the application. They also offer a range of spring weights to match rider and luggage loads.
  • Shaft Re-chroming: For damaged shock shafts, they offer precision grinding and re-chroming with industrial hard chrome, a service crucial for extending the life of high-performance shocks.
  • Installation Services: While customers can often install components themselves, Pro-Action also offers installation services for their shocks and fork kits, particularly at their main facility or authorized dealers. This ensures proper setup and initial tuning.
  • Product Sales: Beyond services, Pro-Action manufactures and sells their own line of high-performance shocks and front fork kits, specifically designed for various Harley-Davidson models (Dyna, Touring, Sportster, Trike) and other motorcycles. These products are known for their advanced valving systems and durable construction.
Their services are designed to address issues such as harsh rides, bottoming out, poor handling, and general discomfort, transforming the riding experience. They work with both OEM components and their own proprietary systems, offering solutions for a wide range of suspension needs.

The distinguishing features of Pro-Action Suspension are centered around their engineering prowess, customizability, and commitment to rider satisfaction.

  • Custom Tuning: This is arguably their most significant feature. Unlike off-the-shelf solutions, Pro-Action customizes suspension settings based on a detailed rider survey, accounting for rider weight, passenger weight, luggage weight, riding style (solo, 2-up), and terrain. This ensures the suspension is perfectly matched to the individual and their specific riding conditions.
  • Proprietary Technology: Pro-Action designs and manufactures its own shocks and fork kits. These products feature advanced technologies such as 3-stage incrementally pressure-sensitive self-adjusting compression valving and 2-stage pressure-sensitive rebound systems. They use high-quality materials like CNC machined T6061 aircraft quality billet aluminum and nitrogen gas charged coil-over springs.
  • Durability and Rebuildability: Their products are designed to be completely rebuildable and revalvable, extending their lifespan and allowing for future adjustments as riding needs change. They also emphasize light-weight design (under 2lbs for some shocks) and hard coat anodizing for durability.
  • Expert Technicians: All authorized Pro-Action dealers and their headquarter staff are "hand-picked and trained by our head suspension technician," ensuring a consistent level of high-quality service and expertise.
  • "Test Don't Guess" Philosophy: This approach underscores their commitment to accurate diagnostics and effective solutions, minimizing trial and error and maximizing the effectiveness of their tuning.
  • Wide Application Range: While heavily featured for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, their services extend to dirt bikes, ATVs, and potentially other motorsport vehicles, demonstrating versatility in their expertise.
  • Adjustability: Their shocks often feature hand-adjustable threaded spring pre-load adjusters and externally adjustable free bleed control, allowing riders to fine-tune their suspension further.

In terms of promotional information, Pro-Action Suspension leverages its specialized expertise and reputation within the riding community. Their website serves as a primary hub, providing detailed information about their products and services, pricing, and a crucial rider information form for custom tuning. Customer testimonials are heavily featured and highly positive, often describing a "night and day difference" in ride quality and comfort after installing Pro-Action suspension. These testimonials come from diverse riders, including those with different weights, riding styles, and specific vehicle models (e.g., Street Glide, Iron 883, Trike), lending significant credibility. The brand's focus on "custom tuned to your bike & your riding style/loads" is a key promotional message.

They also promote their network of authorized dealers, emphasizing that these locations are trained by the headquarters to ensure consistent, high-quality service worldwide. This broad reach suggests a well-established and trusted brand. Participation in motorsport events, such as covering "over 600 competition events" including National Pro-Level Motocrosses and Supercrosses, highlights their presence in the racing world and demonstrates their products' performance capabilities under extreme conditions. They offer "Trackside Support," which further underscores their commitment to performance and customer service in competitive environments. While specific time-limited promotions may vary, their pricing structure for rebuilds and revalves is clearly listed, offering transparency. The option to "Buy now, pay over time with Affirm" through some partners suggests flexibility in payment, making their premium products more accessible. Their emphasis on transforming a harsh ride into a smooth, confidence-inspiring experience is a powerful emotional appeal to riders.

Installed a set of Pro Action Street Series shocks on my 2014 Street Glide last week. They are great!! What an upgrade from stock! I called them up and spoke with DJ. He explained the set up and adjustments on them and he was a cool person to talk to. If your considering buying these shocks, do it!! Worth every penny. Plus they are made in the USA!!

Pro-action did an incredible job on my 2023 Kx 450! They nailed it on weight, age, riding ability and extremely fast turnaround! I've had some suspension PTSD from other suspension hacks and their promises. I love my bike now, Pro-Action Pennsylvania is a first class company and I will be using them from this point forward. Thanks again, Scott, Washington, Illinois
