Peru Truck & Tire Services Introduce

Located at 2928 W 100 N, Peru, IN 46970, USA, **Peru Truck & Tire Services** operates as an auto repair station, providing essential services and goods for various vehicles, with a particular focus on trucks and tires. As an establishment categorized under "Auto Repair Stations," their primary function is to address the maintenance, repair, and replacement needs of automobiles, specifically catering to the demanding requirements of trucks and offering comprehensive tire solutions. The services typically encompass a wide range of offerings expected from a full-service auto repair center, all aimed at ensuring vehicle safety, performance, and longevity for local users in the Peru, Indiana area.

The facility itself, situated at the provided address, can be envisioned as a functional and practical environment typical of an auto repair station. While specific details regarding the interior and exterior aesthetics are not readily available, such establishments are generally designed for efficiency, accommodating various sizes of vehicles, especially trucks. This often includes multiple service bays, specialized equipment for tire mounting, balancing, and repair, and potentially a waiting area for customers. The practical layout would prioritize ease of access for large vehicles and the smooth flow of repair operations. The environment would be geared towards the technical work involved in vehicle maintenance and repair, emphasizing utility and the specialized tools required for truck and tire servicing.

Regarding the **services** offered by Peru Truck & Tire Services, the name itself clearly indicates a specialization in two key areas: truck maintenance and repair, and all aspects of tire services. For trucks, this would likely include a spectrum of mechanical repairs, engine diagnostics, brake services, suspension work, and potentially fleet maintenance for commercial clients. Given the nature of trucks, which often undergo heavy usage, their repair needs can be complex and require specialized knowledge and equipment. On the tire front, the services would extend beyond simple patching to include new tire sales, tire rotations, wheel balancing, tire inspections, and potentially alignments. The ability to handle truck tires specifically implies the capacity to work with larger, heavier tires and wheels, which demand different handling and equipment than standard passenger vehicle tires. As an "Auto Repair Station," they are equipped to diagnose and fix a variety of issues that can plague vehicles, providing a holistic approach to keeping cars and trucks running effectively.

While the business aims to provide essential services, it's crucial to acknowledge the **customer feedback** available. Reviews from real customers offer insights into the service experience. One customer reported being quoted $160.00 for "one hour labor" to patch a tire, which they considered a "rip off," stating they would "drive on the rim before I paid that to patch a tire." This suggests a perception of high pricing for what the customer considered a routine service. Another customer detailed an experience where they stopped for a trailer tire at 4:30 PM. After waiting for an hour, they were informed it would be $140 an hour with a two-hour minimum since it was "after hours." This individual expressed dissatisfaction, paying $534 for a used trailer tire and less than an hour's work, vowing not to use the service again. These reviews, while specific to individual experiences, point to concerns regarding **pricing structure**, particularly concerning labor costs and potential "after-hours" charges, and the overall value perceived by customers. It's important for potential customers to consider these perspectives when evaluating the services offered.

In terms of **features**, a key characteristic of Peru Truck & Tire Services appears to be its focus on specialized truck and tire work. This specialization suggests that they may have the necessary expertise, tools, and inventory to handle the unique demands of heavy-duty vehicles. Their ability to service trucks distinguishes them from general auto repair shops that might primarily cater to passenger cars. The provision of used trailer tires, as mentioned in a review, indicates a potential offering of both new and used parts, which can be a cost-effective solution for some customers. The "after-hours" policy, while a point of contention for one reviewer, also implies a potential for extended service availability, which could be a beneficial feature for commercial truck drivers or individuals facing roadside emergencies outside of standard business hours, provided the pricing is understood and accepted upfront. The ability to provide immediate service, even with potential waiting times, is a feature for those in urgent need of repairs.

Regarding **promotional information**, based solely on the provided data, there is no explicit promotional material available to highlight specific deals, discounts, or service packages. Businesses in the auto repair category often use various methods to attract customers, such as seasonal discounts, loyalty programs, or introductory offers for new clients. Without this specific information, any promotional efforts would need to be directly inquired about by potential customers. However, the presence of a phone number ((765) 473-5538 and mobile phone +1 765-473-5538) suggests that direct communication is the primary channel for obtaining current pricing, service availability, and any ongoing promotions. Potential customers are encouraged to call ahead to discuss their specific needs, understand the pricing structure, and inquire about any relevant offers before visiting the establishment. This proactive approach can help manage expectations and provide clarity on costs and services.

In summary, Peru Truck & Tire Services functions as a dedicated auto repair station specializing in truck and tire services in Peru, IN. While it offers essential vehicle maintenance and repair, potential customers should consider the available customer feedback regarding pricing and service charges, particularly concerning labor rates and "after-hours" policies. For those seeking specialized truck and tire assistance, direct communication via phone is recommended to gather the most accurate and up-to-date information on services, features, and any available promotional offers.

Don't waste your time with this place. They think there gonna charge $160.00 "one hour labor" to patch a tire. Absolutely a rip off. I'd drive on the rim before I paid that to patch a tire. They just want to screw people or there lazy. Beware

Stopped to get a tire for trailer. It was 4:30 pm. Attendant said I would have to wait till he finished with truck in front of me. After I wait for a hour, he proceeds to tell me it would be $140 a hr and a 2 hour minimum since it was after hours. I had to have a tire cords were coming through. Will not use them again. $534 for a used trailer tire and less than a hours works. Not happy.

Brought a 2002 f350 in to the shop for charging system issues. Mechanic said it was the alternator and he could Change it for 90 dollars. It was extremely cold outside so we agreed 90 dollars was worth it to not have to work on the truck in the cold. The mechanic decided to remove the fender well to access the alternator easier, in the process he bent the fender horribly. After mentioning this to him he just take his hand and a wrench and bends it kinda back and laughs about it. So after he change the alternator he was again struggling with the fender well trying to put it in backwards and yet again bent the fender lip. This mechanic was also complaining and upset because his boss called and made him work over a hour because he was working on our truck. After finished the mechanic was reluctant to let us pay our bill. Him and the other mechanic walks into the office, got on the phone and then walks out proudly announcing the price of the work was 360 dollars. We argued that wasn't the agreed price. They just basically said that was the price he would pay or they would keep the truck. So we had no choice and spent our last dollar on getting our truck back . We left very upset and only made it 30 miles and the truck still wasn't charging. The mechanic hadn't even tightened the alternator ground. We had to fix in sub zero temps ourselves . So broke, dirty and cold I write this. These people are crooks plain and simple. When the owner kept calling numberous times about our truck I figured something was fishy and I was right . I put only one star to get a review in and that's not deserved even.
