I got towed to their location after having my Cherokee break down and they determined it was the battery. They looked at it right away and they replaced both batteries. I also had an issue with my tires causing shaking in my vehicle and so balanced and rotated my tires at no charge since I purchased tires recently at a different Pep Boys. They were super helpful and communicated through the entire process. I was in and out of there in 2 hours It’s was a great experience. Much appreciated

I would not recommend getting your next car battery at Pep Boys even though their battery prices are a bit lower, but it's not worth the hassle! I purchased my AGM car battery 2 & 1/2 years ago from Pep Boys Lombard on 12/28/2020. The battery has 48 months warranty. The battery died on 11/29/2023. I took the battery in at 2pm that day. The counter person said they have to check the battery before they can replace which I can understand. He said they can't get to testing the battery until the next day and will give me a call. 2 days have past and I have not received a phone call. I am not sure why Pep Boys' car battery test is so different that it takes so long. Previously when I had car battery issue, other auto parts chain store can test your battery and alternator in about 10 minutes. Maybe Pep Boys' battery tester is more comprehensive and requires more testing time, but that's definitely not worth the 2 days+ down time on my car. Pay a little more and save the hassle!

I was in desperate need of an oil change and gave Pep Boys a call. Ike answered the phone, and let me tell you—he was incredibly kind and professional from the start. He told me I could come right in, and from there, the experience only got better! First off, their oil change pricing is unmatched—seriously, you won’t find a better deal. While inspecting my car, Ike informed me that my back brakes needed replacing. What truly stood out was how honest and transparent he was. He could have easily tried to upsell me on unnecessary extras like rotors, but instead, he took the time to show me my brakes, explain why they needed to be replaced, and assure me that my rotors were still in good shape. The education alone was worth the visit! He also let me know I needed an engine filter (which I did) and reassured me that my other filter was fine. Every step of the way, Ike brought me over to see the items he was discussing and carefully broke down the pricing so I could understand everything. And the icing on the cake? He even applied a coupon to my total! Oh yeah, I have a 2017 Mercedes Benz!! Let me tell you, you won’t find service, honesty, or prices like this anywhere else. Pep Boys has earned a customer for LIFE. I will gladly send anyone I know to them so they can experience the same level of care and professionalism that I did. If you need any car maintenance or repair, look no further than Pep Boys—you won’t regret it!

I already replied t the survey I received by email. However, I will write it again here. First of all your coupon system is useless. For wheel alignment , your system says "$10 OFF WHEEL ALIGNMENT with coupon* *Offer and coupon expire 3/31/25. Valid on 30-Day & 1-Year/12,00 Mile Wheel Alignment. Limit one coupon per customer. Not valid on commercial or fleet vehicles. No cash value. Cannot combine with other offers or discounts. Terms apply. So I print the coupon and gave to your person and he said, that coupon applies only if I pay $220. If that is the case then why you are displaying wrong information with the coupon. Your $110 and $220 wheel alignment has same description . Only difference is warranty 30 days and warranty one year. It does not say that you are doing anything special on one year warranty wheel alignment or what you are not doing in the 30 days alignment. I always receive a color printout after the wheel alignment. I did not receive that from Lombard on that day. When I asked, he said printer not working. Then how I know that wheel alignment was done or no. Hope you are satisfied with my response
