I have been extremely happy with the quality of their work and with Bram himself. In addition to being highly capable he is an honest person. I have build up total trust in his advice and competence. He has not steered (no pun intended) wrong for multiple repairs on multiple cars. I strongly recommend him and this shop for all auto repair and maintenance issues.

When you want repairs on your car done right, there’s no better facility than PA Tire and Auto in Ardmore. The crew, under the supervision of Bram, who is himself an automotive genius (not said lightly), put their highly technical skills to work to produce consistently satisfactory results. Two personal experiences that qualify the above statements is when they mostly rebuilt my engine and exhaust system (with new sensors), then later put in a new clutch for my 2003, Subaru Outback/ Sport…after 144,000+ miles. The expertise and care applied to these jobs was greatly appreciated! Oh, and the brake job (front - the first after 145,000+ miles) was superb! I highly recommend PA Tire and Auto of Ardmore!!

Best service ever! I’ve stopped there several times to make an appt. for some issue & sometimes it’s just something simple that they fix in a few minutes at no charge. Ex: windshield wipers kept leaving smudges - a local tire place said they needed to be replaced. Brahm (sp?) took them off & showed me the pollen that had collected, wiped it off & voila- good as new! Great service & fair pricing always!

This place used to be good and reliable but not anymore. I have been doing oil change, state inspection, and other minor fixings with them over four years. But the most recent experience with tire plugging is a disaster. My tire got a nail (not very in-depth) which leads to slow leaking issue. They helped remove the nail and plugged the tire. However, it only worked less than two months, and the leaking issue was back. I went back to them, and they claimed that the same tire’s valve stem got a problem and charged me over hundred bucks to fix. I had the valve replaced but the leaking problem showed up again within a week, during which I rarely drove the car. I went back and their explanation was that the plugged place was leaking again though it was OK when they replacing the valve. And they think that it was normal that only a few days parking (no driving) can cause a plug to leak again. They “refixed” the plug, but it did not last long. I got the leaking again just a month later after they “refixed” it. During the time, I only drove the car occasionally for grocery and dining, and never used it for commuting or highway trip. Even though, the tire started leaking again. It seemed that they had changed their crews, and the new team was not as good as the old one.

I dropped off an essentially new car to Philadelphia Tire & Auto at the Exxon on Montgomery Ave for a PA inspection and to rotate the winter tires with summer tires. In the 8 hours in which the car was in their custody, it suffered $2500 of damage. The desk attendant who was friendly at the drop off was cool when I came to pick it up. Paid for it; got the keys; found they had it parked in front of one of the gas pump bays and saw it had been badly scrapped along the passenger side. They claimed surprise and stated somehow a third party must have side swiped the car while getting gas. Here's where the real problem begins. Despite my repeated requests in phone and in person. And despite police requests. They never produced the security camera tapes that the shop attendants claimed only the owners had access to. They kept saying they would and after two months they haven’t. Nor have they offered to help me with my expenses to fix the damage, or help with added costs in not having my car for a month while it’s in the back logged autobody shop. Not even a call to apologize. Nothing - silence. It makes you wonder what the security tapes actually show? If another customer in fact damaged my car while parked, you’d have a chance to see it on tape; maybe get the license or identify the individual from a credit card used at the pump. And seeing how busy the station is, it’s odd nobody saw the side swipe and mentioned it to staff? Even believing the story, why park just-serviced cars in front of active bays where people are coming and going to pump gas! I get there isn’t a lot of parking – but this practice is just asking for trouble. Whatever the real story, the complete lack of customer service, accountability and even courtesy communication means do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to get service done. It’s a shame because I’ve been happy with the work done previously on my other car. But you can’t take a customer’s car, return it damaged a few hours later and then say: “not my problem.”
