Pat & Sons Quality Auto Body Introduce

Pat & Sons Quality Auto Body, located at 7138 County W, Greenleaf, WI 54126, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, primarily focusing on automotive body work and repairs. This establishment appears to specialize in addressing significant structural and cosmetic damage to vehicles, an area that often requires specialized expertise and equipment beyond that of a general mechanic shop. For local users in Greenleaf and the surrounding areas, Pat & Sons aims to be a resource for restoring vehicles, particularly after accidents or when dealing with complex issues like rust.

Environment and Specialization:

As an auto body shop, Pat & Sons Quality Auto Body would typically feature a dedicated facility equipped for body repair, painting, and potentially frame straightening. This environment is distinct from a general mechanical repair shop; it often includes specialized booths for paint application, areas for welding and metalwork, and precise measurement systems for frame alignment. The focus is on restoring the vehicle's structural integrity and aesthetic appearance after damage. While specific details about their facilities are not provided, the nature of their work, as highlighted in a customer review, points to capabilities in handling complex structural repairs. The location at 7138 County W suggests a potentially more rural or industrial setting, common for body shops that require larger spaces for operations.

Services and Expertise:

Based on their name and the provided customer feedback, Pat & Sons Quality Auto Body offers services that extend beyond simple dent removal:

  • Quality Auto Body Work: This encompasses a wide range of collision repair services, including panel replacement, dent repair, and vehicle painting.

  • Complex Frame and Rust Repair: A significant highlight from a customer review demonstrates their expertise in handling challenging frame rust issues. In a situation where other mechanics deemed a vehicle "totaled" and irreparable due to isolated rust spots on the frame, Pat & Sons successfully performed the repair. This suggests they possess the specialized knowledge, tools, and willingness to undertake intricate structural repairs that many other shops might decline.

  • Vehicle Restoration: Their ability to repair severe rust and structural issues indicates a capability to restore vehicles to a safe and operational condition, even when others might consider them a "lost cause."

It's important to note that while they are categorized as an "Auto Repair Station," their core competency appears to be in the body and structural repair segment, which is distinct from mechanical repairs like engine issues, brake service, or electrical diagnostics. However, the mention of "car buying experience" in one review suggests they may also engage in vehicle sales, possibly of repaired or salvaged vehicles.

Key Features and Mixed Customer Experiences:

Customer reviews paint a very contrasting picture of Pat & Sons Quality Auto Body, highlighting both exceptional strengths in repair and significant concerns regarding vehicle sales and follow-up. This provides a crucial, objective insight into their operational features:

  • Exceptional Skill in Challenging Repairs: A standout feature is their proven ability to take on and successfully complete difficult repairs that other mechanics deem impossible or unsafe. The case of the SUV with severe frame rust, where Pat & Sons repaired it at a "very fair price" and the vehicle remained "going strong" for years and thousands of miles, is a powerful testament to their specialized repair capabilities and integrity in this specific area.

  • Fair Pricing for Repairs: For the complex frame repair, the customer noted a "very fair price," suggesting good value for highly specialized work.

  • Customer Service in Repair Situations: The positive review for repair work indicates a willingness to look at and attempt repairs when others wouldn't, implying a proactive and problem-solving approach in their body shop operations.

However, the narrative significantly shifts when discussing their alleged vehicle sales practices:

  • Severe Issues with Vehicle Sales: A highly negative review details a "worst car buying experience" involving a vehicle that overheated shortly after purchase. The core complaints revolve around extreme delays in addressing the issue (eight months of promises), alleged dishonesty about the vehicle's condition ("we’ve been driving it around there’s nothing wrong with it. After it over heated!!!???"), and a refusal to cover repair costs for significant mechanical failures (thermostat, sensor, water pump) that eventually cost the buyer substantial money.

  • Lack of Mechanical Competence (in Sales Context): The customer explicitly states, "These people bought this car after someone hit a deer from an auction but have no idea how to work on cars." This suggests a disconnect between their body repair capabilities and their presumed mechanical assessment of vehicles they sell, potentially implying that vehicles acquired from auctions and resold might not undergo thorough mechanical inspections.

  • Poor Communication and Follow-up (in Sales Context): The "every week I would call him and he’d say I’ll get to it next week" indicates a severe lack of communication, accountability, and customer support post-sale.

Promotional Information and Dual Perspectives:

Given the stark contrast in reviews, any promotional information about Pat & Sons Quality Auto Body must be viewed through two distinct lenses. Their primary promotional strength for their "Auto Repair Stations" services lies in their ability to perform challenging body and frame repairs that others won't touch, and seemingly at a fair price. The positive review serves as a powerful endorsement of their technical skill and problem-solving approach in this specific domain.

However, for local users, the negative review concerning vehicle sales practices acts as a significant warning. It suggests that while their repair capabilities (specifically body and frame) might be commendable, their involvement in selling used vehicles, particularly those potentially salvaged or requiring mechanical attention, comes with considerable risks. Therefore, local users considering their services should be aware of this duality:

  • For complex body, frame, or rust repair work, the positive testimonial suggests they might be a capable option.

  • For any vehicle purchase directly from Pat & Sons, the negative review strongly advises extreme caution, thorough independent inspection, and a clear understanding of sales terms, especially if the vehicle has a history of damage or unknown mechanical issues.

The phone numbers provided are (920) 864-2888 and mobile +1 920-864-2888. Potential customers for repair services, especially those with challenging body or frame issues, might find their specialized capabilities valuable. However, those considering purchasing a vehicle from them should proceed with significant due diligence, as indicated by the severe negative experience shared by a customer.

A local mechanic told me my SUV was totaled due to a couple of isolated rust spots on my frame. The same mechanic told me that it wasn't safe to drive on the highway and that he had never seen that type of rust repaired before. In other words, it was a lost cause and if I would have listened to him, my truck would be in a junkyard. I called many places and no one would even agree to look at my truck, let alone actually attempt a repair. Pat & Sons did the work though, and for a very fair price. Almost two years and twenty some thousand miles later, my truck is still going strong and showing no signs of needing any additional repair work. Thanks guys, much appreciated!!

Dealing with this person has been the worst car buying experience of my life. Bought a car for 7,500 dollars. Car over heated I had it towed back. He did nothing to it for eight months every week I would call him and he’d say I’ll get to it next week. Then he tells me we’ve been driving it around there’s nothing wrong with it. After it over heated!!!??? Had a real mechanic pick it up and it needed a thermostat and thermostat sensor. These people had been driving my car in that condition. Pray to god it’s not ruined because over my dead body will I ever sell a car to anyone that is not in good working condition. This guy refused to pay to have it fixed. He is a liar a cheat and a horrible person. Avoid going here at all costs. Update on this review. Also needed a water pump. I’m at 10,000 and counting into this car. Please if you are a blue collar family who works hard for your money don’t waste it at Pats. Another update to this the water pump was shot. These people bought this car after someone hit a deer from an auction but have no idea how to work on cars . Hands down the worst people I’ve ever run into in my life

Great honest place to go and get your car fixed or restored. Family owned and run. They do almost everything! Minor rust spots to a full tear down and complete rebuild custom or factory. Update 2022 Collision with a dear took out front passenger clip. The vechicle was no longer in driving condition and was towed to this auto shop. Not only did the fix my vehicle even with the part shortage and delays on almost everything do to covid they managed to have my vehicle back up and running fully repaired in under a week. Worked with my insurance company I didnt have to do a thing besides talk to my insurance company for the claim/deductible and they took care of the rest. Good honest service value behind product and quality with speed knowing that you need your vehicle back up and running asap.

This is the worst place to buy a car. You will get the bare minimum and a lemon of a car that will only temporarily suit your needs. Zero stars. Avoid this place at all cost if you value your time and money
