Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix Introduce

Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix, situated at 3439 S 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85040, USA, functions as an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in collision and auto body repairs. As part of a larger chain, they aim to provide comprehensive services for vehicles that have sustained damage. They can be reached via phone at (602) 283-4453 or +1 602-283-4453.

Environment and Customer Interaction

As an established auto body shop, Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix likely operates a sizable facility equipped for various stages of vehicle repair, including demolition, frame straightening, bodywork, and painting. The environment would typically be a busy workshop designed for efficiency in handling multiple vehicles simultaneously. Customer interactions primarily occur in a front office or reception area. Reviews indicate that while some customers experience highly positive interactions with office staff who are "over and beyond with their customer service" – even offering rides home – other potential customers have encountered significant issues, particularly regarding consistency in information across different locations and discrepancies in estimates. This suggests a varied customer experience depending on the specific staff encountered or the nature of the inquiry.

Services Offered

Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix primarily focuses on restoring vehicles after collisions or other forms of body damage. Their services, as implied by their name and typical auto body shop offerings, would include:

  • Collision Repair: This is their core service, encompassing the repair of structural and cosmetic damage resulting from vehicle accidents. This can range from minor fender benders to more significant damage.
  • Paint Repair and Repainting: Addressing scratches, scrapes, and damage to a vehicle's paintwork, often involving full panel repainting to ensure a seamless match with the existing finish. One customer mentioned getting a "bad scratch on my door" fixed, which "looks awesome."
  • Dent Removal: Repairing various types of dents, from minor dings to more substantial indentations, often involving body filler and sanding before painting.
  • Estimates: Providing immediate estimates for repair work, as noted by a customer who received one while waiting.
  • Customer Convenience Services: One exceptional example of customer service included driving a customer home when they didn't have a ride. While not explicitly advertised as a standard service, it reflects a willingness of individual staff members to go the extra mile.
Features and Customer Perceptions

Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix presents itself with certain features, but customer experiences reveal a mixed perception of these aspects:

  • Deductible Wavier Policy: One of their heavily advertised features, as mentioned in a radio commercial, is the waiving of deductibles. However, customer reviews indicate significant confusion and potential misrepresentation regarding this policy. One review explicitly states that the Phoenix location offered to waive "10% of Labor cost," while another location denied knowledge of such a policy, leading to accusations of "fraud" and disappointment. Their own website clarifies they "will rebate to you 10% of the total cost of your repairs up to $1000!" This discrepancy between broad advertising and specific application creates a negative customer perception for some.
  • Pricing Competitiveness: A major point of contention from one review is that their "estimate was almost $1,000 more than two other shops." This suggests that while they may offer some form of deductible assistance, their base pricing for repairs might be higher than competitors, potentially negating the perceived benefit of the waiver for some customers.
  • Customer Service Variability: There's a clear divide in customer experiences. One customer praises the "gals in that office" for going "over and beyond with their customer service" and driving her home, resulting in a "best experience ever." Conversely, the customer encountering the deductible issue found the experience frustrating and misleading, indicating a lack of consistent customer-facing communication or policy enforcement across the business.
  • Efficiency in Service Delivery: One positive aspect highlighted is their ability to fix a car "while I was out of town" and have it ready "the next morning" upon return, demonstrating efficiency and punctuality for certain repair jobs.
  • Quality of Repair Work: For the customer who had their car fixed, the outcome was positive, stating "everything looks awesome," suggesting that the actual repair work, once completed, meets quality standards.
Promotional Information and Market Challenges

Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix actively promotes itself, notably through radio commercials, with a key focus on deductible waivers. However, the online reviews suggest that their promotional claims may not always align with the customer experience, leading to challenges in maintaining a consistently positive public image. Typical promotional strategies for auto body shops include:

  • Insurance Partnerships: Many auto body shops work directly with insurance companies, which can streamline the claims process for customers. While the reviews highlight issues with their specific deductible waiver, they are clearly set up to handle insurance-related repairs.
  • Advertising Campaigns: As noted by the radio commercial, they engage in advertising to attract customers, particularly by highlighting financial incentives.
  • Online Presence and Estimates: Like many modern auto repair businesses, they would likely offer online estimation tools and maintain a presence on review platforms.
  • Customer Testimonials (Selective): While there are negative reviews, the business would likely highlight positive testimonials where customer service was exceptional or repair quality was praised.

The conflicting reviews present a challenge for Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix. While they evidently possess the capability to perform high-quality bodywork and have staff members who provide excellent service, the issues surrounding transparent pricing and consistent communication regarding promotional offers, particularly the deductible waiver, appear to be a significant deterrent for some potential customers. For local users in Phoenix, it suggests that while quality repair work is achievable, it's crucial to clarify all terms and compare estimates thoroughly before proceeding with services at Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix.

Orlando Auto Body - Phoenix Customer Reviews

Such a scam. I got an estimate with Orlando's based on their radio commercial that said they waive deductibles. The gentleman at this location said they waved 10% of Labor cost. The woman at the Scottsdale location said she didn't know and she had only been there 2 weeks. DO NOT PUT THIS INFORMATION ON YOUR COMMERCIAL IF IT'S FRAUD! ALSO... THEIR ESTIMATE WAS ALMOST $1,000 MORE THAN TWO OTHER SHOPS. SO WHY WOULDN'T YOU WAIVE THE DEDUCTIBLE, AS YOUR COMMERCIAL STATES...

I had a bad experience with the window company that installed my new windshield, they left a bad scratch on my door , they didn’t move my car and it was all scratched up, I called Orlando to see if I could come get a estimate, they gave me the estimate immediately while I waited . I asked if I could leave it while I was out of town , and Yes my car was fixed while I was out of town. I picked it up the next morning and everything looks awesome. The gals in that office wentover and beyond with their customer service . the night I dropped off my car, I didn’t have a ride home and she drove me home.I will definitely use them again .

They did a great job painting my front bumper lip, but would not install it. I was told that only this location didn't do customs work, but after calling most of the Orlando locations I'd say none of them install aftermarket custom parts. If you know of anyone that does please reach out to me. 👍🏽

I have had an absolutely awesome experience with these folks. I have been dealing with Kim and Robin at the Gilbert location and these gals are outstanding. They handled the insurance company and kept myself updated on everything! Orlando's is the only auto body shop I will deal with. They sure made it easy and are extreme professionals. Look no further? Folks will be happy they chosen Orlando's! Great experience!

These guys left my car worse than before the accident. Took my 2019 Malibu to them after an accident. I had to leave to drive across the country after they took care of my car, and my hood latch assembly came undone and almost caused an accident. Now, my front bumper is falling off, hood rattles threatening to take off at any moment. Insane body gaps(nothing lined up like it did) Turns out they used ALL cheap aftermarket parts as well.
