New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. Introduce

New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc., located at 811 E Lake St, Addison, IL 60101, USA, positions itself within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, with a specific focus on transmission services. They can be contacted by phone at (630) 359-5584 or via mobile at +1 630-359-5584. As a specialized auto repair station, their stated aim is to provide solutions for transmission issues, including repairs, rebuilds, and replacements, and they also indicate offering wholesale options for new and rebuilt transmissions.

Based on the highly concerning customer reviews provided, an objective introduction to New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. necessitates a direct address of the significant issues raised. While details about the physical environment are not given, a transmission repair shop typically features:

  • Specialized Bays: Dedicated areas for hoisting vehicles and accessing their undercarriages, crucial for transmission work.
  • Transmission Disassembly and Reassembly Areas: Clean, organized spaces for technicians to work on intricate transmission components.
  • Diagnostic Equipment: Advanced tools for accurately identifying transmission problems.
  • Parts Inventory: A stock of common transmission parts and fluids, possibly including a wholesale section as indicated by the business name.
However, the customer feedback suggests that the critical aspect of the environment is not its physical layout but rather the operational integrity and customer service practices within it.

The services offered by New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. revolve around transmission systems. According to their general description from other sources, they offer:

  • Transmission Repair: Addressing issues such as leaks, grinding noises, and linkage problems.
  • Transmission Fluid Changes: Routine maintenance for transmission health.
  • Transmission Rebuilds: Restoring existing transmissions to working order.
  • Transmission Replacements: Installing new or rebuilt transmissions.
  • Wholesale Options: Providing transmissions for other auto repair shops or individuals.
  • Specialization in CVT and ATF: They specifically highlight expertise in Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT) and Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) related repairs, as well as some manual repairs.
However, the provided customer reviews raise serious questions about the actual execution and reliability of these services.

The features of New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc., as depicted through customer experiences, present a highly problematic and concerning picture.

  • Allegations of Employee Misconduct and Fraud: One review directly accuses an employee named Luis of "stealing customers" by charging significantly less than the company's normal rate for repairs, implying unauthorized and potentially fraudulent transactions. This alleged behavior suggests a serious internal control issue that directly impacts customer trust and the business's integrity.
  • Unresolved Repair Issues: Despite a substantial payment ($2,500 for a Chevy truck transmission fix), a customer reported that their vehicle "still feels the same way I brought it in," indicating a failure to effectively resolve the core problem. This highlights a critical deficiency in service quality and problem resolution.
  • Lack of Accountability/Refunds: The customer who paid $2,500 also stated they had "no luck" in chasing the employee to get money back, suggesting a lack of recourse or accountability from the business for unsatisfactory or incomplete work.
  • Deceptive Warranty Policy Changes: Another significant feature, detailed in a second review, is the alleged arbitrary change in warranty renewal policy. A customer claimed they were initially promised a $250 fee to renew their 1-year warranty on a new transmission, only to be informed that the fee had suddenly increased to $500 just before their renewal date. The refusal to honor the original agreement for "OLD customers" is perceived as a "scam" and a breach of trust, particularly as the initial fee was a deciding factor for the customer in choosing this shop.
  • Poor Customer Service (Post-Service): The customer's experience of "chasing this guy" for a refund and the unhelpful response regarding the warranty policy change indicate a severe lack of satisfactory customer service once a payment has been made or an issue arises post-repair.
These features, derived directly from customer feedback, paint a picture of a business with significant issues concerning transparency, service quality, and ethical practices. The accusations of an employee doing "horrible jobs" and the owner needing to "supervise this place better" are direct criticisms of management and oversight.

Given the nature of the provided customer reviews, any discussion of promotional information must be framed very carefully and objectively. It is important to note that typical promotional efforts by an "Auto Repair Station" would focus on building trust, demonstrating expertise, and offering competitive pricing. However, the existing customer experiences directly contradict such positive messaging.

  • Website Information: A company website for New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. (neweratransmission.com) states they are a "Trusted Source for Transmission Repair & Service," a "family-owned local business," and are "dedicated to providing our customers with top-notch transmission services. With our commitment to quality you can always expect reliability and complete customer satisfaction." It also mentions "Transparent Service" and "honest assessments, fair quotes, and regular updates." These claims, however, are directly challenged by the negative customer reviews.
  • Wholesale Options: The "Wholesale" aspect of their name suggests they might target other repair shops or individuals looking for bulk transmission purchases, potentially offering competitive pricing in that segment. However, the provided reviews do not offer insight into this specific aspect of their business.
For potential customers, the most critical "promotional information" available is the unvarnished feedback from past clients. Any decision to engage with New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. should be made with a full awareness of these significant concerns regarding service quality, alleged employee misconduct, and potentially deceptive warranty practices. Customers are advised to exercise extreme caution, seek multiple quotes, and thoroughly research any repair facility, especially when dealing with complex and costly repairs like transmission work. It is recommended to contact them directly at (630) 359-5584 or +1 630-359-5584, but to be prepared with specific questions regarding service guarantees, pricing transparency, and warranty policies, given the negative experiences highlighted.

In conclusion, New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. in Addison, IL, positions itself as a specialized "Auto Repair Station" focusing on transmission services. While they offer a range of transmission repairs, rebuilds, and replacements, and claim to prioritize quality and customer satisfaction, the available customer reviews present a severely negative portrayal. These reviews highlight serious allegations of employee misconduct, unsatisfactory repair outcomes despite significant costs, and sudden, disadvantageous changes to warranty policies. Potential customers are strongly advised to proceed with extreme caution and conduct extensive due diligence before considering New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. for their vehicle's needs, particularly for transmission services, due to the critical issues raised by former clients.

New Era Transmission Repair & Wholesale Inc. Customer Reviews

If I could rate this place a 0 I would! So I dealt with a worker named Luis who I found out steals the costumers from this place by charging $1,000 less from what the company would normally charge. Anyways, I got charged $2,500 to fix my transmission from my Chevy truck just for me to be chasing this guy so I can at least get some of my money back but no luck. My Chevy truck still feels the same way I brought it in. Please stay away from this place!! And if you’re the owner of this place, you better supervise this place better because you’re losing a lot of business because of this guy named Luis who’s doing horrible jobs.

If I could give this place ZERO STARS I would. Got a new transmission for my 2017 Nissan Murano, on March 20, 2024 was told that 1 yr warranty was included and in order to renew on March 20, 2025 I just needed to pay a fee of $250. March is approaching called to extend my warranty and was told they changed their policy a couple days ago and it’s now $500 to renew. I asked her how does that apply to OLD customers shouldn’t that apply to NEW people. The only reason I went with this place was because of the $250 renewal fee!!! This place is a scam! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
