National Auto Collision Center Introduce
National Auto Collision Center, situated at 2309 N 55th St, Tampa, FL 33619, USA, operates as an auto repair station. Based on publicly available information, particularly direct customer feedback, this establishment appears to be significantly involved in vehicle towing and storage services, often in situations following accidents, in addition to any potential collision repair capabilities. You can reach them at (813) 963-0680 or +1 813-963-0680.
The environment of National Auto Collision Center, as depicted in customer reviews, suggests a functional space primarily geared towards vehicle storage and processing following towing. Customers have described the location as being in a "sketchy area," which may impact the perception of the immediate surroundings. While specific details about a repair bay or customer waiting area are not universally available, the emphasis from customer accounts is on the process of vehicle retrieval from storage. The reviews highlight that customers seeking to pick up their vehicles have encountered challenging interactions within this environment. The operational structure appears to be one where vehicles, often towed by law enforcement directive (e.g., FHP), are brought to this lot for safekeeping and subsequent release.
As an Auto Repair Station, the primary service explicitly detailed through customer experiences centers on **vehicle towing and storage**. In situations where vehicles are involved in accidents and towed to this facility, National Auto Collision Center charges fees for the towing service itself and for each day the vehicle is stored on their lot. This includes charges for days when the facility may not be open to the public, such as weekends or holidays. Beyond towing and storage, while the name "Collision Center" implies auto body repair services, the provided customer reviews do not offer specific details about collision repair processes or quality, focusing instead on the towing and retrieval experience. Therefore, an objective introduction must primarily reflect the services that are directly referenced in the available information, which heavily points to their role as a towing and impound lot. Goods for sale, if any, would likely be limited to items directly related to vehicle release or minimal emergency repairs to make a vehicle towable.
The features of National Auto Collision Center, as perceived by customers, include its responsiveness to calls, with one reviewer noting, "The only good thing I have to say about this company is at least they answer the phone...." This indicates a certain level of availability for initial contact. However, a significant feature, according to customer accounts, is their fee structure. They reportedly charge the **highest fees allowed by the county** for administrative fees, tow fees, and daily storage. A critical feature highlighted is their reported **payment policy**, where customers have stated that they were only allowed to use cash to retrieve their vehicles, even in light of a new county law purportedly requiring multiple payment methods. This cash-only policy, combined with high fees and daily charges regardless of operational hours, stands out as a defining characteristic of their service delivery. The location also appears to operate with limited hours, as a reviewer mentioned being open from "8-noon Monday of Christmas week and closed until Friday," yet still charging for the days they were closed.
Another reported feature is the **professionalism of employee interactions**. Customer feedback indicates instances of "extremely unprofessional" behavior, including "employees cursing at me and my family for trying to pick up our car." This suggests a challenging customer service dynamic, particularly during the vehicle retrieval process. The perceived "sketchy business" operations and "WAY overpriced" charges, as stated by customers, are significant features that have shaped public perception.
Regarding promotional information, no traditional promotional offers such as discounts on services, seasonal deals, or loyalty programs are indicated in the provided information. The nature of their primary service, which often involves involuntary tow situations, typically means that customers are not seeking out their services based on promotional appeals but rather as a result of an accident or vehicle impoundment. Therefore, any promotional activity, if it exists, is not a publicly highlighted aspect of their operations in the provided context. Instead, the available information focuses on the fees associated with their services rather than any value-added promotions. For specific pricing or any potential offers, customers would need to contact the facility directly, though the reviews strongly suggest caution when doing so, particularly concerning payment methods and total charges.
In summary, National Auto Collision Center, located at 2309 N 55th St, Tampa, FL, functions as an auto repair station primarily identified through its involvement in vehicle towing and storage, often in post-accident scenarios. Publicly available customer feedback highlights a service environment described as "sketchy," a fee structure that utilizes the highest allowable county charges, and a reported cash-only payment policy for vehicle release, despite legal mandates for multiple payment methods. Customer interactions have been described as unprofessional, with reports of aggressive communication during vehicle retrieval. While the name suggests collision repair capabilities, the prominent information and customer experiences strongly emphasize their role in towing, storage, and the associated retrieval challenges and costs. Potential customers are advised to proceed with awareness of these reported aspects of their operations.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is extremely shady and needs to be shut down. I'm sure there are plenty of violations that can be found. Over charging. Extremely unprofessional. Employees cursing at me and my family for trying to pick up our car. Tampa PD needs to find another towing company one that doesn't overcharge and then cusses you out for wanting to pick up your own car before the weekend so they don't charge more.

The only good thing I have to say about this company is at least they answer the phone.... We got into an accident and the FHP officer said that we couldn't wait for AAA to come and he called this company. We planned to come get the car the next morning since it was 8PM and they aren't open on the weekends and they were only open 8-noon Monday of Christmas week and closed until Friday.... They charge you for every day your car is there regardless of if they are open or not. They charge the highest fees the county will allow them for administrative fees, tow fees, etc. Our car got to the lot that was 4 miles from the accident around 8:30PM Friday and we picked it up as soon as they opened on Monday 8AAM since they wouldn't let us get it before then and charged us a little over $800 and would only let us use cash to get our car. The county has a new law that states tow companies are required to let people use multiple types of payment methods. They were in a sketchy area, sketchy business, and WAY overpriced. GO USE SOMEONE ELSE!

This business is extremely “shady” and they don’t even deserve one star. My vehicle was impounded at this business by Tampa Police Department and the owner would not let me retrieve my personal property because my registration was expired (an oversight on my part). They also held my vehicle for a month by playing “games “ so they Could continue charging excessive daily Fees. Tampa Police Department should not use this business in the future.

Very very very shady company. They have a travel agency, Western Union, phone cards and towing all in one very dirty and dingy little hell hole. The workers seem like straight up con assists. After an accident they were called by the city to take one of our cars. We got no choice in the matter. We never received any information as to where the car was and how to get it back. Finally we found out from the dmv. When we were finally able to contact them they had sold the car and filed a lean against us for over 400$. They refused to clear the lean unless we paid cash. Very very shady. Then it turns out their paperwork was over 6 years old and no longer accepted by the state of Florida. When we returned they were incredibly rude. When i suggested that they be nicer as they were waisting a tremendous amount of our time in addition to stealing our vehicle and shaking us down for cash. They threw me out of the building and refused to fill out the state mandatory paperwork until i wait outside. Everything about this company says wannabe Mafia. Sad little parasites.
