Welcome to Minnesota Repair, an Auto Repair Station located at 70 W Hyacinth Ave, St Paul, MN 55117, USA. Serving the local community, Minnesota Repair offers a range of automotive services, including tire sales and installation, brake repairs, and other general mechanical work. As an Auto Repair Station, we aim to provide solutions for your vehicle maintenance and repair needs. However, it's important for potential customers to consider recent feedback regarding the quality of parts and the thoroughness of service.

As an Auto Repair Station, Minnesota Repair operates from its location on W Hyacinth Ave in St Paul. While specific details about the shop's environment are not provided in the customer reviews, a typical auto repair facility includes service bays equipped for various repair tasks, as well as an area for customer interaction. The reviews suggest that the shop handles a variety of services, from tire replacements to brake work and fuel tank strap replacements.

Based on the available customer reviews, Minnesota Repair offers the following services:

  • Tire Sales and Installation: One customer purchased tires from Minnesota Repair. However, they reported the tires to be of poor quality and not worth the price paid.
  • Brake Services: Another customer had their front brakes done at Minnesota Repair. Subsequently, they experienced a complete brake failure due to a brake line issue. The shop later replaced the brake lines and re-bled the brakes. However, the customer reported that the vehicle was initially returned without a proper test drive, as the brake pedal still went to the floor.
  • Fuel Tank Strap Replacement: A customer sought a quote for replacing fuel tank straps and found Minnesota Repair's price to be significantly lower than another local shop. The repair was completed in a timely manner.

Several aspects of Minnesota Repair are highlighted in the customer feedback. One potential feature is competitive pricing, as indicated by the lower quote for the fuel tank strap replacement compared to another shop. Additionally, the ability to offer same-day or next-day service, as experienced by the customer needing the fuel tank straps replaced, could be considered a feature of convenience.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge the significant negative feedback regarding the quality of tires sold and the initial quality of brake work. One customer explicitly stated, "Absolutely Do Not Recommend," based on their experience with poor-quality tires and rude customer service when attempting to address the issue. This raises concerns about the standards of products sold and the responsiveness of customer service.

The second review, while acknowledging a lower price for a specific repair and quick service, details a serious issue with brake work. The customer experienced a complete brake failure shortly after the service and then reported that the vehicle was returned after subsequent repairs without a proper test drive, indicating a potential lack of thoroughness in their quality control procedures. While the issue was eventually resolved, the initial oversight raises concerns about safety and attention to detail.

On a more positive note, the customer who had the fuel tank straps replaced described their experience as "great" and appreciated the honesty and hard work of the staff. This suggests that there may be variability in customer experiences depending on the specific service and potentially the personnel involved.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Minnesota Repair in the provided text. Potential customers would need to contact the shop directly to inquire about any ongoing specials or discounts.

Given the mixed feedback, local users considering Minnesota Repair for their automotive needs should weigh the reported instances of poor product quality and service oversight against the positive experiences of competitive pricing and efficient service for specific repairs. It may be prudent to ask detailed questions about parts quality, warranty, and service procedures before committing to any work.

To make an informed decision, it is recommended to contact Minnesota Repair directly at (651) 487-3358 or +1 651-487-3358 to discuss your specific needs and concerns. You can also visit their location at 70 W Hyacinth Ave, St Paul, MN 55117, USA, to assess the facility and speak with the staff. It is always advisable to seek multiple opinions and consider recent customer feedback when choosing an auto repair station.

In conclusion, Minnesota Repair offers a range of automotive services in St Paul, MN. While some customers have reported positive experiences with pricing and speed of service, significant concerns have been raised regarding the quality of tires sold and the thoroughness of brake repairs. Potential customers should carefully consider this feedback and conduct their own due diligence before entrusting their vehicle to Minnesota Repair.

Minnesota Repair Customer Reviews

Absolutely Do Not Recommend I went to this shop and paid $350 for what I was told would be good, reliable tires. What I got instead were poor-quality tires that clearly weren’t worth the money. Not even a week later, I started noticing issues. When I tried to reach out about it, the customer service was rude and unhelpful. They clearly didn’t care about making it right or standing by what they sold me. I would never go back to this place to get my car fixed. Save yourself the time, money, and stress—go somewhere else.

EDIT: I got my front brakes done a month ago, and my brakes went all the way out a couple days ago. It was snowing that day so I wondered if it was just slippery, but no, the brake lines were out. It was scary and someone could have been hurt. Minnesota repair denied that they had anything to do with it, that the issue was with the rear. Idk if I believe them or not. But that aside, they replaced my brake lines and re-bled them. I paid ($300), get to my truck, and the pedal still goes right to the floor. They didn’t tie off one of the brake lines? I wish I knew more about those so I could articulate it. But anyway they fixed it again in 20 minutes and it wasn’t the end of the world, but they clearly hadn’t test-driven my vehicle before giving it back to me. I just drove to Maplewood and back with no issues but I admit I’m a little wary. They lost a star for this. — I've been pretty loyal to Brausen Auto, but I have had a suspicion that they are starting to really upcharge repairs in the last couple years. I looked around to other local shops, and had a great experience at Minnesota Repair. They quoted me $330 to replace the fuel tank straps on my truck. Brausen quoted me $600. Minnesota repair was able to get me in same day, but I opted for the next day (a Saturday). They had it all taken care of in 3 hours. No nonsense. They seem honest and hardworking and I really appreciate that.

My husband and I have been coming to them for my car and now his that is off warranty. They have always quoted a fair price and did quality work for nearly 7 years.
