I don’t know where all these positive reviews came from. I took my E36 here, he had it for 3 days, and I needed the car back because it was not a crucial issue and I was going out of town (wanted it home in the garage) he tried charging me $440; I get my car back and the footwell is out of place, the door sill is hanging out, the passenger seat won’t lock into place, it’s filthy, and a part was left in the glovebox. Not only did he not fix the issue, he did not even locate the issue. After refusing, I talked his outrageous price down and took it to a different mechanic. It took him 20 minutes and it was free. The problem was in the taillight and the other mechanic said “If he had just taken off the taillight, any trained mechanic would’ve seen the issue instantly. Worst experience I have had. I went in to get a full inspection of my car. I told Mike the goal is to have a full idea of everything that needs to get done so that I have a plan of all the repairs to make the old lady run for many more miles. I said that I was willing to pay more for the inspection to get this done. I also asked him if he takes old batteries since I had just exchanged the one in my car. He told me that he will have his battery guy come in tomorrow and he will give it to him. He gave me a price for the inspection, I left the car, and he said to come back the next day to pick it up. The next day, I called to check if the car was ready, and he told me to come in at a specific time, since he wanted to take another drive to check an error the car showed. I came in when he told me to and had to wait almost an hour because he had to do some other things. I'm pretty patient, but this wasn't optimal since it was in the middle of the business day for me as well. When he finally was ready, he gave me a printout of the OBD report he ran. He gave me a few things he found, which I already knew and had told him about. No other report, no list of how much each repair would cost, no mention of tires, alignment, trunk issue I had mentioned, and several other things. Now, I am unfortunately very forgiving and give people a chance to remedy this sort of stuff, so I asked him to please put something together, including pricing, parts, etc, that would show me what should be fixed first, second, last, and so on and so forth. He said he would prepare that and call me. No call for a week. No call for two weeks. After three weeks, I followed up. He said he was busy, but it was on his list of things to complete. Another month passes. No reply. I call again, and his employee says he is not there. I called again another time, and another day, the same thing. I never got the report or any estimate. Oh, whoever did something in my car also stained my leather on the driver side door. And I can't get the stain out. It's oil, grease, or something. Thanks for that as well. It's not cheap to get that cleaned or fixed on a BMW 750. And the battery I mentioned. Yeah, that trunk was never opened because everything in there had not been moved an inch. To be honest, the inspection report I get from We-Fix-It Auto with just a simple oil change is more detailed and professional than this was. The inspection at Mike's was the biggest waste of money. First and last time I went there. I guess Mike chooses which customers he shows respect and which ones he does good work for. Apparently, I wasn't one of them. Even though I was patient with him and very nice. Well, at Mike's nice doesn't get you what you came for, it seems. UPDATE After I wrote the review and checked several issues with the car, I noticed a bunch of problems they should have easily seen in a real inspection. So, either these guys are completely incompetent or they simply ran the OBD and never did anything else, effectively stealing my money. The value cover gaskets and the Valvetronic System Shaft baskets were done and heavily leaking. You lift the engine cover which is four screws and you would have easily seen that. The Nav module kept restarting which was the reason for my battery draining. Typical problem for this type of BMW a I fix out, and easily noticed when the car is off and you check in the trunk, which they obviously never opened, even though I told them about issues with the trunk and the electronics. I could go on, but the point is; this is hands down the shadiest mechanics shop I have dealt with, and deserves zero trust from anyone. Even more than before, I an disgusted by those guys. And I don't ever use such strong language.

Mike is the Goat of BMW mechanics. He’s not only a great shop owner and mechanic, but he’s great people. My third time here. Five stars++ every single time!!

I don't know what happened, but this review was supposed to be posted months ago when my son purchased his car from Mike. During the buying process, Mike was nothing but HONEST, fair and professional, and PROVED to be a man of his word. As anyone will agree, this is a major rarity when it comes to both purchasing a car and and having it repaired! His knowledge and experience are second to none, and he is gracious and patient to share both with his customers! When my son said he wanted to sell his single-previous-owner-1985 Chevy K10 short-bed, and get a 2004 BMW 325i I had serious doubts about buying a foreign car, but knowing we found his car at Mike's makes this momma feel much more at ease. When it comes to having his BMW fixed, my own soon-to- be-mechanic son said he will not go anywhere but Mike!
