Midwest Vintage Motorcycle Services Customer Reviews

Had a bike for 8 years and tried to fix it myself. After reaching a frustrating point I went in search of a mechanic who could help. I found Nathan online and eventually got the bike into his shop. He was thorough, upfront, and did a fantastic job. When I picked up the bike he went over everything with me and I was finally able to ride it home. Took him less than a week and was able to solve a fuel/air mixture issue that had been driving me and an online forum in circles. I am eternally grateful and wish I knew about him years ago. I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future. The only critique I have is that it is best to call him directly. He responds right away to phone calls so skip emailing and the online form. Thanks again for saving my bike!!!! EDIT: Upon Riding my motorcycle, I have had nothing but a slew of issues. I first found out after the bike started stalling on the highway and eventually dying after 20 miles of riding. the engine was not fully fastened down in 4 different locations, a couple of bolts to the carbs, engine, and exhaust were missing. The manual I lent was missing some loose pages and when I asked for them, he said he would look and never replied. I appreciate that he initially "fixed" my bike and pointed out the very simple problem I had missed. I was able to ride it home but later in the season I come to find that the carbs were jetted incorrectly, and the petcock was altered to the point I wasn't getting enough fuel for it to ride longer than twenty miles. I have had to redo most of the work he had done on this bike. I really thought taking it to a mechanic was the wise choice, but I was better off asking for him to look it over and fixing it myself.

I took my ZRX1100 to Nathan for a valve adjustment, exhaust install, carb cleaning, rejetting, and synch, and a few other odds and ends. He performed the work at a quick pace, kept in touch with status updates, and was flexible with drop off/pick up dates changing due to weather. He was also available to answer questions after the work was done. Bike runs great, work's done quick, and all for a fair price. I'll happily use him again in the future.
