McDonald Auto Care Center Introduce
McDonald Auto Care Center, located at 302 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384, USA, serves as a local establishment for vehicle repair and maintenance. While the name on the sign may differ, the facility operates as an automotive service provider for residents and travelers in the St Pauls area and those passing through on I-95. The center's phone number is (910) 865-5135, and they can also be reached via mobile at +1 910-865-5135.
As an Auto Repair Station, McDonald Auto Care Center aims to provide a range of services essential for keeping vehicles on the road. Typically, such centers offer comprehensive diagnostics, routine maintenance, and specialized repairs. This generally includes services like oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections and replacements, fluid checks, engine diagnostics, and more complex repairs related to the transmission, suspension, and electrical systems. For users seeking general vehicle upkeep or addressing specific mechanical issues, a facility categorized as an Auto Repair Station would be expected to cover these fundamental automotive needs. The focus is on providing necessary repairs and parts for sale to ensure vehicle functionality and safety.
Regarding the environment and customer experience, online reviews offer a mixed perspective. One customer reported a positive experience, highlighting a mechanic named Diaz. This customer had their car towed to the shop and noted that Diaz was very personable, taking the initiative to show all the parts replaced and the worn-out components, which was appreciated. The car was reported to run great after the repair. This suggests that individual mechanics within the facility can provide a good level of service and customer interaction, potentially making the experience more transparent and reassuring for some customers. The recommendation from this individual particularly targets those in the local area or travelers on I-95 in need of assistance.
However, another review presents a contrasting and significantly negative experience. This customer expressed strong dissatisfaction, claiming the shop is now "Mexican owned" and accusing them of being "crooks." The issues began with front-end suspension work, during which an ABS sensor was reportedly identified as faulty and replaced. Two weeks later, the customer needed front bearings replaced. According to this review, issues arose with the supplied parts, with the shop initially claiming they were incorrect, despite the customer asserting they were the right ones. The customer alleged that the mechanic damaged the bearing during installation and also damaged the ABS sensor while removing parts for the bearing replacement. The customer also stated that the mechanics and owner lied and laughed when confronted about these issues. The review further details a significant delay in returning the vehicle, which was critical for the customer's work as an Uber driver, finally receiving it on Thanksgiving Day. Upon receiving the car, the ABS and VSA lights were still on, and the owner allegedly dismissed these issues, claiming the bearings were fixed and the lights were the customer's problem. Furthermore, the customer reported an attempted fraudulent charge of almost $2,000 on the card used for the initial payment, leading to a strong warning for others to "STAY AWAY!!"
Based on these differing accounts, it is difficult to provide a consistent picture of the promotional aspects or distinguishing features of McDonald Auto Care Center. While one review points to the potential for excellent service from specific mechanics like Diaz, the other highlights severe concerns regarding honesty, quality of work, customer service, and even alleged fraudulent activity. For promotional information, an objective introduction would typically mention special offers, warranties, or unique service packages. However, without direct information from the business or more consistently positive customer feedback, it is not possible to detail such aspects. The main features that can be inferred from the reviews are its location convenience for I-95 travelers and the presence of individual mechanics who may offer good service, counterbalanced by significant concerns regarding business practices and customer treatment as described in the negative review. Potential customers should weigh these very different experiences when considering McDonald Auto Care Center for their automotive needs.

Has my car towed to this repair shop 2 weeks ago. Mechanic named Diaz worked on my car very nice guy. He even dignified me by popping the hood without me asking and showing all the parts he replaced in the car and my worn out parts. Car runs great. I definitely recommend if you’re in that area or traveling on I-95 and need a repair. From what I understand it’s not owned by McDonald auto car care and I forgot the name on the sign but ask for Diaz.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!! IT IS NOW MEXICAN OWNED, AND THEY ARE CROOKS!! I first took my car there about 3 weeks ago, I need front end suspension work. The owner called me and said an ABS sensor was bad. I didn't think anything of it, so I said replace it. Well, 2 weeks later I need front bearings replaced, he sends me a text $90 each side, I bought the parts. I brought the car in on Monday, on Tuesday he says the parts are the wrong ones and that an ABS sensor is bad...again. So, I rode to the shop. The bearings were the correct bearings, but the mechanic had damaged it putting it in and the ABS had been damaged when removing the parts to replace the bearings. *See photos. The mechanics lied, laughed in my face and had tried to make me pay for the parts like they were faulty. The owner too. I told the owner that I needed the car by COB Wednesday, because I'm an Uber driver and need to work. Finally got my car Thanksgiving day, and the ABS and VSA lights were on. The owner laughed at me and told me they fixed the bearings, the lights were my problem. He could care less, I had already paid him and took him at his word to fix the lights. And, the card that I used to pay the first time , there was an attempt to put almost $2k on it. CROOKS!! STAY AWAY!!

I can't say enough good things about McDonald's Auto and the mechanic Michael. While on a drive home from a family vacation with 8 hours to go my car broke down at 10pm at night. I called Michael at McDonald's Auto in the AM, and he was able to take my car in right away and start working on it. Immediately identified the issue as a broken alternator and fixed it quickly despite it being a honda oddysey and a monster repair. Within 2 hours after I brought it in he got it completely fixed and my family was able to get back on the road home safely. To say these guys are trustworthy and give a fair price is an understatement. If you live there you're lucky to have these guys and if you're traveling and break down there, don't want to say you're lucky, but you're lucky to break down here. Highly recommend going here - Michael was knowledgeable, kind, professional and patient with me as I was a little stressed. Thank you again!!!! Car is running perfectly and lastly the part was guaranteed for 7 years if it ever breaks again thru Napa so even better!!!
