Krown of North Pittsburgh Introduce

Located at 22311 Perry Hwy, Zelienople, PA 16063, USA, Krown of North Pittsburgh operates as an auto repair station, providing a range of services and goods for sale primarily focused on vehicle protection and maintenance. While often referred to as an auto parts store due to the nature of their offerings, their core business revolves around specialized services like rust proofing and spray-in bed liners, essential for vehicle longevity and resilience.

The facility can be reached via phone at (724) 473-0292 or mobile at +1 724-473-0292. As an established auto repair station, Krown of North Pittsburgh aims to serve the local community by addressing common vehicle concerns, particularly those related to corrosion and cargo bed protection.

Environment and Facilities

Upon visiting Krown of North Pittsburgh, customers will find a dedicated space designed to facilitate vehicle service. While the general atmosphere within the service bay area is typical of an automotive workshop, a crucial aspect to note, as highlighted by customer feedback, is the condition of the parking lot. One customer mentioned that the parking lot can be "covered in oil from rustproofing dripping off vehicles that were just sprayed." This suggests that visitors planning to walk around the exterior of the facility or inspect their vehicles post-service might want to wear appropriate footwear, such as "old shoes," to avoid tracking oil. This observation indicates the active nature of their rust proofing operations, where newly treated vehicles may still have some residual dripping.

Inside, for those waiting for their vehicles, Krown of North Pittsburgh offers a comfortable lobby. This is a significant convenience for customers, allowing them to relax while their service is being completed. A comfortable waiting area suggests an effort to provide a pleasant customer experience, even during what can sometimes be a lengthy service like applying a spray-in bed liner.

Services Offered

Krown of North Pittsburgh specializes in services that enhance a vehicle's durability and functionality. Their primary offerings, as indicated by customer reviews, include:

  • Rust Proofing: This is a key service offered by Krown. Rust proofing involves applying a protective coating to a vehicle's undercarriage and other susceptible areas to prevent rust and corrosion, especially important in regions with harsh weather conditions or road salt usage. While specific details about their rust-proofing product were not provided, it's clear this is a major part of their business.
  • Spray-In Bed Liners: This service involves applying a durable, protective coating to the bed of pickup trucks. These liners are designed to protect the truck bed from scratches, dents, and corrosion caused by cargo and environmental exposure. Krown of North Pittsburgh offers spray-in bed liner applications, with one customer noting a quick turnaround time of "less than 6 hours total for it to be applied."
Features and Customer Experience

The staff at Krown of North Pittsburgh are described as friendly, contributing positively to the overall customer experience. This friendliness, coupled with the comfortable waiting area, suggests a focus on customer satisfaction.

However, it's important to present a balanced view based on customer feedback. While one customer highly recommended the spray-in bed liner service, praising its efficiency and the quality of work, another customer expressed dissatisfaction with their Ford F150 bed liner application. This customer's experience highlighted a few key points:

  • Texture Discrepancy: The customer reported that the texture of the sprayed liner, which was Milspec, was "very coarse and traps dirt," differing significantly from the LineX samples initially shown. This suggests a potential issue with misrepresentation or a lack of clear communication regarding the specific product and its characteristics.
  • Functional Issues: The coarse texture also led to the tailgate sticking and not opening automatically, a persistent issue even after a week.
  • Lack of Resolution: Despite seeking resolution, the customer stated "there was no resolution offered." They were informed the tailgate would "eventually work," which it hadn't, and were left to consider self-remedy with sandpaper.
  • Taping Quality: Despite the issues, the customer acknowledged that Krown "did a good job taping and spraying," indicating precision in the application process itself.

This feedback suggests that while the technical application might be proficient, there might be areas for improvement in **product information accuracy, expectation setting, and post-service customer support**, particularly when issues arise. The comparison to a friend's positive experience with "turbo liner" from another provider further emphasizes the importance of managing customer expectations regarding product characteristics and functionality.

Promotional Information and Special Considerations

While no explicit promotional offers were provided in the given information, the services themselves—rust proofing and spray-in bed liners—serve as key value propositions for vehicle owners. For potential customers, the decision to choose Krown of North Pittsburgh might hinge on factors like:

  • Vehicle Protection: For those looking to extend the life of their vehicles, especially trucks, through rust prevention or bed protection, Krown's specialized services are directly relevant.
  • Time Efficiency: The reported less than 6-hour turnaround for a spray-in bed liner is a significant advantage for customers who need their vehicles back quickly.
  • Local Convenience: Being situated in Zelienople, PA, offers a convenient option for local residents and businesses in need of these services.

Customers considering Krown of North Pittsburgh for a spray-in bed liner might benefit from directly inquiring about the specific product used (e.g., Milspec, as mentioned in a review) and its texture, and perhaps requesting to see samples of the actual product that will be applied, rather than just generic samples. This proactive approach could help manage expectations regarding the final finish and functionality. Additionally, discussing any potential impact on vehicle components, such as tailgate mechanisms, before service might be beneficial.

In summary, Krown of North Pittsburgh operates as a dedicated auto repair station specializing in vehicle protection services like rust proofing and spray-in bed liners. They offer a comfortable waiting environment and friendly staff, making them a convenient local option for these specific needs. Prospective customers are encouraged to communicate clearly about product expectations to ensure a satisfactory outcome.

Krown of North Pittsburgh Customer Reviews

I had my Ford F150 bed liner sprayed March 24, almost 2 months ago. I am not pleased. I was shown samples of what it would look like and the texture. The samples were not accurate. The texture is very coarse and traps dirt. My tailgate sticks and doesn't open automatically. I stopped a week later to seek resolution and was told the samples were LineX and what they sprayed was Milspec. So mis-representation. Also said the tailgate would eventually work...it hasn't yet. There was no resolution offered. Also their parking lot is covered in oil from rustproofing dripping off vehicles that were just sprayed. Wear your old shoes. My friend just had his truck done with turbo liner. Wish I had too. His was less coarse and tailgate doesn't stick, parking lot was clean (they do rust proofing too). I can only say Krown did a good job taping and spraying. But I wish they would've taped off the little area where the tailgate sticks. Hand me the sand paper and I will see if I can fix it.

Went here for a spray-in bed liner for my 2021 Ranger. They did an excellent job and it took less than 6 hours total for it to be applied. The lobby was comfortable to wait in and the staff was friendly. Highly recommended!

I got to do the Mil Spec (bed liner) on my F150 Lightning. As one of his first installs the owner was kind enough to install the tonneau cover. Overall a nice guy and team. Their attention to detail was excellent and when there was a problem with the gate (common in F150s) they kept in touch with the parts and options to fix it. I'd highly recommend this installer and will update Mil Spec after I test it over time.

Krown is 10/10 all around. I couldn’t have asked for better installation of my bed liner and undercoating, and the service they provide is outstanding.

I fabricated a custom headache rack for my truck and wanted to get it coated with LineX bedliner instead of paint. I dealt directly with the owner Ryan and the sprayer Nick. They both did a great job of explaining the process and coming up with solutions to potential problems we might have run into. Because this is a custom rack and the design had quite a few tight spaces it required a great deal of precision and attention to detail when spraying it. Ryan and Nick absolutely knocked it out of the park. Not only is the coating tough, durable, and scratch resistant but it also looks amazing and did not close any of gaps in the design. Ryan and Nick both take great pride in their work and they're really good at what they do. I highly recommend them.
