If I could do 0/5 stars I would. Took our Kia in for the recall fix which they didn’t have appointments for 3 months out. Dropped it off and was told they never assigned a technician to the ticket. Was told it would take an hour and a half and it’s turning into 3+ hours and running into our time of getting our kids from daycare which if late costs us extra money. Only reason we went here is because Kia has the recall. Won’t be buying or servicing another car from here. Customer service people are nice and friendly but they have been failed by management and communication.

Took my Kia in for an oil change at Kia of Des Moines. The serviceman came Out into the waiting room with a filthy cabin filter telling me I needed a new one and it would be 69.95. I should have said no, but at the moment I said go ahead but I told him I had just had that cabin filter replaced a few months ago by my friend who is a legit mechanic with his own shop. And I was unaware of how it could get filthy so quickly. So I called my Mechanic friend who had replaced the cabin filter he instructed me to take a picture of the dirty filter they were showing me it turns out it was not the same brand and the writing on the side, it was not my friend's writing he said you've been Scammed. The young man at Kia got very nervous and practically shoved me into my car and almost closed the door on my foot. At this time it was too late because I had already paid for the filter. Do not go here for service they are scamming people and if they come into the lobby and tell you you need something replaced I would definitely get a second opinion. They are scammers. The update is the service manager called and they did give me a full refund. But the service tech still said and swears that that was my filter but it wasn't and I And the mechanic that put the other one in knows well that it wasn't

I entrusted my vehicle to the service center the evening before a scheduled appointment set for the following morning at either 9 or 10 am. The primary issue at hand was a visibly bent and potentially cracked front rim, a matter that had the potential to fall under the bumper to bumper 5 yr/60,000 warranty coverage. Regrettably, such coverage did not materialize, despite the car being only 1.5 years old and meticulous maintenance. My attempts to establish communication with the service center proved challenging and time-consuming. Having initially reached out at 11 am and persistently thereafter, I encountered a disheartening silence until 4 pm, when a response finally materialized via text. Even then, my attempts to speak with the technical representative were met with unresponsiveness, necessitating my physical presence at the center after work – a 45-minute drive from my location. It appears that once you purchase a car from this dealer, the business does not truly care to keep you business This experience underscores a noteworthy point for all prospective customers: the original wheels of my vehicle had a surprisingly short lifespan, balding in a mere 30,000 miles. Seeking clarification from the Kia manager at the time revealed a disconcerting sentiment that such an occurrence is expected with new cars in this particular establishment.

My daughter took her car there because it was some recalled,so she took it to fix the issue, and they call her and said the car was ready, when we picked up the car started making noises and smoked coming from the car, we took it back and they said was a problem with a coil, and spark plugs, but my question is when my daughter dropped was ok because is her daily car, and when we picked up they said was good. So they broken my daughter's car and they just don't care and wash their hands. KIA is the worst nightmare service center and cars.

This is to all the General Public that have in mind to purchase a Mitsubishi and or Kia from Kia of Des Moines they will not honor any of their warranty! I am in a process of trying to get the front windshield replace do to their faulty rear view mirror that came off as I was adjusting it which in turned cracked the window! Beware of the types of warranty that this car lot that gives the impression of how wonderful and what type of amazing deal you'll be getting when if you purchase one of their automobiles! This vehicle was just purchase supposedly brand new last year of 2022 and is barely over a year old! Now I'm beginning to wonder if they will honor the 100,000 MI warranty for the drivetrain I keep very good maintenance on this brand new vehicle but now it seems to be nickel and dime my wife and I pocketbook! "Consumer Beware!"
