Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc. Introduce

Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc., situated at 1520 Maury St, Des Moines, IA 50317, USA, operates within the broader category of "Auto Repair Stations." Based on the provided customer feedback, it appears this establishment offers a combination of services, primarily focusing on both vehicle sales and automotive repair. For local users in Des Moines, understanding the reported experiences of past customers is crucial when considering their services.

The available information does not provide direct insights into the physical environment of Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc. However, the nature of the complaints, particularly regarding vehicle sales and alleged shoddy repair work, suggests that the focus might not be on maintaining a pristine or highly organized customer-facing environment. While a typical auto repair station should have a clean waiting area, organized bays for vehicle work, and proper diagnostic equipment, the reviews do not touch upon these aspects. Instead, the narrative leans towards operational issues and customer interactions rather than the physical premises. It's plausible that, as a repair and sales facility, it would have a lot for vehicles for sale and a workshop area for mechanical work. However, any objective assessment of the environment based solely on these reviews would be speculative and not based on concrete information provided by the customers.

Based on the customer reviews, Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc. appears to offer the following services and goods for sale:

  • **Used Vehicle Sales:** This is a prominent aspect, as one customer describes trying to "buy a gmc savanna" and another recounting the experience of being "sold a car." This indicates that a significant portion of their business involves selling pre-owned vehicles.
  • **Automotive Repair:** The company name "Enterprises & Repair Inc." itself signifies repair services. The customer who bought a car also mentions "promises to fix some issues while signing paperwork," implying that they offer or are expected to perform repair work on vehicles they sell, and presumably, for other customers as well. The severe issues described, such as the torque converter going out and fuel lines being "not properly installed," leading to a fire, unequivocally point to them performing mechanical repairs.

While the exact scope of their repair services beyond what was attempted on the purchased vehicle is not detailed, as an "Auto Repair Station," one would typically expect them to handle a range of general automotive repairs. However, the feedback provided raises significant concerns about the quality and integrity of these repair services. The mention of "fuel lines not properly installed" is a critical safety issue that directly speaks to the standard of workmanship.

The **features** of Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc., as derived from the customer experiences, highlight several problematic aspects. A recurring theme is **poor communication and slow response times**, as evidenced by the customer who was waiting a week for vehicle information only to find it sold without prior notice. This lack of responsiveness and transparency in vehicle sales is a significant negative feature. Another highly concerning feature is the **alleged lack of integrity and dishonesty in business dealings**. The customer who purchased a vehicle explicitly states, "I have never dealt with someone so crooked" and details how promises to fix issues were not kept, followed by "excuses." This suggests a pattern of misleading practices and a disregard for post-sale commitments. Furthermore, the **quality of repair work** appears to be a severe issue, with critical safety defects like improperly installed, leaking fuel lines leading to a vehicle fire. This indicates a potentially dangerous lack of care and professionalism in their repair services. The business also seems to be **unwilling to negotiate on price** during vehicle sales, as stated by a customer ("he won't move on price"). The overall impression from these reviews is a business with significant reliability and ethical challenges. The phrase "I am amazed he is still in business" encapsulates the depth of customer dissatisfaction and concern.

Given the nature of the feedback, it is challenging to identify any "promotional information" in a positive light. Instead, the customer reviews serve as a stark warning rather than an endorsement. Any potential promotions would be overshadowed by the serious concerns raised about their operational practices and quality of work. Traditionally, "Auto Repair Stations" might promote their services through warranties, special offers, or certifications. However, the experiences shared here, particularly the lack of follow-through on promised repairs and safety-critical failures, make it difficult to objectively present any promotional aspect beyond simply stating what services they claim to offer. For local users, the contact information (phone: (515) 243-7412 and mobile: +1 515-243-7412) is provided, but based on the reviews, prospective customers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution. If considering any vehicle purchase or repair from Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc., it would be prudent to:

  • **Insist on written agreements for any promised repairs or conditions of sale.**
  • **Obtain a pre-purchase inspection from an independent, trusted mechanic for any vehicle being considered for purchase.**
  • **Seek multiple quotes and conduct thorough research before committing to repair work, especially for critical systems.**
  • **Be prepared for potential communication delays and be proactive in seeking updates.**

The overwhelming sentiment from the provided reviews is one of dissatisfaction and severe concern. The "unless you live in dsm and can just pop in same-day" comment suggests that even proximity doesn't guarantee a smooth transaction, as the car was still sold. The experiences recounted, from unfulfilled promises to dangerous repair flaws, lead to a strong advisory against relying on this establishment for critical automotive needs. The objective introduction, therefore, must reflect these serious negative features reported by real customers, as there is no positive promotional information to balance it within the provided text.

In conclusion, Jones Enterprises & Repair Inc. at 1520 Maury St, Des Moines, IA, operates as an "Auto Repair Station" that also engages in used vehicle sales. However, based on the customer reviews, the business is characterized by significant concerns regarding poor communication, alleged dishonest practices, and critically, a severe lack of quality and safety in its repair work, as highlighted by issues leading to vehicle failure and fire. For local users, the information suggests that extreme caution, independent verification, and meticulous documentation are essential if considering any engagement with this establishment for either vehicle purchases or repairs. The experiences shared indicate a business model that, at least for the reviewers, has resulted in profound dissatisfaction and safety risks.

Was going to go buy a gmc savanna form these people today. After speaking about purchasing it for a week. They were incredibly slow to get back to me with the vehicles information. I call this morning for them to tell me they sold it over the weekend. Wouldn't recommend unless you live in dsm and can just pop in same-day.

Sold a car to me made quite a few promises to fix some issues while signing paperwork then afterwards all they did was make excuses as to why they couldn't, 50 miles down the road I had to use 3 quarts of oil and the torque converter was going out so it killed the car in a intersection almost got t-boned I am amazed he is still in business, he won't move on price and honestly I have never delt with someone so crooked Update fuel lines not properly installed they leaked and started the car on fire

They are still stealing thousands of dollars from people. That's what happens when you live in a state with no lemon laws.

This doesn't even deserve 1 star. But I bought a van off this company and didn't even make it home before it started acting up called them they towed it back there after a week and then told me they drove it all over and there wasn't anything wrong with it I bought this a year ago and haven't been able to drive it since and have put in over 3000 in it and it still isn't running. Bought a transmission from them it was the wrong transmission. Come to find out they didnt have the right one and instead of giving my money back they said they would fix the one I had. With experience as a automobile technician I was pretty sure ithe transmission needed a pump. I told them this I got the transmission from them after they so called fixed it. Took it home over 1 hr away , instale ot in my truck just to find out it was still leaking just like before. I took the truck to them and asked them if they replaced pump like I said they said no. So I left the truck with them for 2 wk got it back and it had greasy finger prints all over it and the transmission fluid didnt even read on dipstick I asked what they did cause it wasn't leaking, they said replaced pump. The transmission went out 1 month later. They got 1000$ out of me and I got screwed..
