I inherited doing business with Mr.Kirby because my grandfather anytime he needed tires would go through him and when it became my turn to need to buy some tires my grandpa made sure to send me his way. And I've been doing so personally at least the last 10 years but that is just a drop in the bucket if you compare it to all the years my grandpa has done businesses with him. He's been so fair and honest that I've stopped wasting my time getting estimates anywhere else long ago and just tell him what I need and book my appointment because when I did I would always end up going with him anyway. If I could think of a way to give him any higher recommendation I'll remove this review and replace it with that.

I've never been so sure that auto work has been done right. Jim is great and has my enduring respect. Bonus is great value for the money paid.

Blew a tire off the rim during an unintentional off roading incident due to icy roads. A buddy told me about Jim. Within about 5 or 10 minutes after I showed up, they had it mounted, and I had to make Jim take $5, he told me all he wanted was a dollar for a coffee. Great service, and a great guy.

Today 2/18/19 I called Johnstown tire at 4:12pm I needed tires bad, I couldn't get there until 4:45 and I asked the guy ( I did not get his name ) but it was not Jim working if he could help me he said yes, I arrived and the man was waiting on me and proceeded to put 4 tires on my car. My car did not cooperate but he did not give up, I have bought many tires in the past , but the service I received here today was above and beyond. It was after hours but the man cleaned the bead ( maybe the wrong word ) of each of my aluminum rims he also cleaned the bead of each tire and balanced each tire to a perfect zero. Never once got bent out of shape. My point is he could have quit when my lug nuts wouldn't come off he could have skipped cleaning the rims ( no other shop I have ever been to has unless there was a leak after the tire had been mounted) he could have skipped cleaning the bead on the tires ( I have never seen that done before ) and he could have quit balancing at .25 or .50 oz I have seen that done many times. And to finish off he hand torqued each lug nut that gets skipped plenty of times. Now well over an hour and a half past the time when he should have been home he told me to be safe and have a nice day. I only wish I could have tipped the man more and gotten his name. Oh and I should say all that service for me was for a set of used tires. Thank You Sir!
