Hardshift Transmissions

I had an 01 ranger that had issues staying in park and the transmission was sluggish, not only that but my column shifter felt very loose. Not only were the folks at Hardshift incredibly friendly, they also told me what it could be, gave me options, and did a fantastic job repairing it. It feels like a brand new car and was the final touch my car needed to be done getting fixed! Thanks for bringing my rust box back to life

Took our Explorer here when it wouldn't reverse. They were extremely nice and helpful and took our vehicle even though we didn't have an appointment. It took a bit to get it back for obvious reasons, but for the problem we had, we got our car back in a very reasonable amount of time. It was a bit more expensive of an issue than we were hoping for, but they charged us a reasonable price for the problem and the work being done. I would definitely go here again and highly recommend them.

Highly recommend this place. Integrity in service which is rare to nonexistent these days. They rebuilt my transmission for nearly half the cost of a remanufactured transmission. Joyce at the front desk is a pleasure to work with and will answer all of your questions along the way.

don’t take a racing tranny. Had tranny rebuilt cause the transmission brake wasn’t workin. charge me $975 put it in had the same problem. called him and he said bring it back. had it for a week said he found the problem. Put it back in same problem. will never use them again!

Waited about six months to post this review as I wanted to see if the repair would last. To date, the transmission seems to be working fine and I was pleased with the service and their good communication and friendliness. They are a little pricer than other quotes I received but I decided I wanted to support a local business and they've been around for awhile.

I had an unusual experience with my car. For reference I have a 2018 Ford Escape with less than 60,000 miles. The transmission went out. Herb and his team worked tirelessly for MONTHS trying EVERYTHING possible, consulting specialists, dealerships, and finally installing a new (used) transmission. Herb was a man of his word and didn’t give up until he was able to make it right. I am so thankful for everything he did to get my car up and running like new again. He was great with communication every step of the way. I felt like he GENUINELY cared and wanted to make sure he finished what he started. I wish I could give him more stars than 5, his patents and loyalty to his customers is unmatched. Highly recommend reaching out to them if you need help too.
