I originally bought my car at Midlands Toyota (huge regret), but I get it serviced at Jim Hudson Toyota. The service, employees, and ease of getting in and out in a timely manner with all the answers are all 5 stars ⭐️ The waiting room too is truly top notch! Most mechanic places are trying to get you to come back, over charging, slimy, untrustworthy. But here, they really just want your car and you to leave better than you arrived! I really wish I bought my car from here instead.

The chairs in the waiting room were like sitting on a rock for an hour. They have a TV but was on a DYI House program the whole time, and none of the chairs faced it. Watch for my car to be pulled into the servicebay, and it was full. My car was not pulled into servicebay. They said they checked the battery, and it was fine and was charging properly. A day after that, my battery failed to start my car again. Called the service, and they indicated I may need a new battery, which cost over $270.00 plus installation. Wow!

This place is phenomenal! I always deal with Chris Tudor and he always gets me right with my car and I trust him with his opinions with any service I need. They have an excellent waiting room area and also if you don’t have a ride and it’s going to be a while they would personally have someone take you home or whatever until the work is done. They also have free coffee and tea also a sparkling water machine. They have an option to wear you can order food and have it prepared by the cook. The bathrooms stay clean and the whole establishment. This place is wonderful! The workers are very friendly and understanding! Thanks for always making sure everything is running properly with my car.

Everything was pretty ok at first. A few phone tag hiccups with contacting people but nothing drastic. The check engine light and see dealer kept flashing in the dash of my 2020 highlander with only 50,000 miles. My usual location is in Spartanburg or Greer but as I was in Columbia for training and it cut off at 2 lights, I felt the need to bring it somewhere ASAP. Initially they had the vehicle a few days because they said it was the fuel pump that was on back order. They said that it be covered under warranty/recall. I picked it up and a couple days later, same warnings again. Brought it back in and I was told it was the purge valve that would be covered as part of the original repair to the fuel pump but that the piece was on back order. That was on 12/12/24. Now I keep getting the run around about replacing it. I took it to Spartanburg Toyota and they had the piece within days, but I would have to pay since the service was performed at another Toyota. I have called several times for a status to no avail. Just it’s still on back order. So bizarre that one dealer doesn’t honor the next.

I have been coming to this dealership service location for probably over 10 + years with my Toyota, and the service here at this location is not what it used to be. Sad really. I feel like the mentality from techs/agents is a commission driven attitude. Not customer driven. My experience over the last two days was not good from a communication basis and I won't be coming back. Way too expensive with labor cost (over $800 labor vs around $700 parts) etc. to leave feeling frustrated. I have also lost trust in this service center. I take my other vehicles to a small family mechanic shop..they are humble and I never have issues with trust or communication. Also, I take care of my vehicle and keep it clean. When I picked it up it was dirty from tech getting in and out...bugs inside the vehicle...icing on the cake. What happened to putting a floor mat down. It is the small things that used to matter...now it's get them and get them out. Enough said...I paid $500 more dollars than my other mechanic only due to time restraints. This center will not get another dime from me.
