OHHHH BOY. This review was a long time coming. I decided not to leave a negative review after dealing with these people, but after having to buy a whole new transmission at a different transmission shop, you bet I'm doing it now. This shop was paid $4,000 to rebuild my transmission. The vehicle was driving ROUGH after it was rebuilt. I brought it back in after getting transmission codes with a check engine light. I get the truck back, still not up to par. Shifting was rough and RPM's were bouncing around 45mph. Calling this shop was useless. It was clear to me that they were done hearing from me. I brought my truck back 3 more times!! And STILL did not get it driving correctly. One of those times, the truck sat there for a few days and I was told the problem was fixed because the check engine light went off. I brought it in with it off!!! Ultimately what happened after it was all said and done, my transmission started leaking fluid all over the highway and filled my cabin with smoke. I thought I was on fire. Had another shop take the whole transmission apart and he was baffled at the work that was performed. PARTS. WERE. MISSING. Highly recommend taking your vehicle to Twin Transmission in Monroe and speaking to Paul. DO NOT work with these unqualified mechanics. I had to spend another $5,000 to buy a whole new transmission after all of this. They are lucky I don't sue.

Recently had work done on my car from Indian Land Transmissions and overall upset with the customer service. My car broke down next door from the shop and Matt assured me that he would be able to move it and fix it. He said it would take 2 weeks to inspect it and repair the car. On the 3rd week he stated he had the car and he would let me know the estimate. At which time the police called me and said my car was reported stolen. I had to contact Matt to found out he did not pick up the car, could not locate it, and called the police. It turns out, that it was towed. Matt got the car, work on the issue, and was paid in full. Once I picked up the car, there was damage to the side of the car(See picture). I called Matt and he said he would take care of it. The car was under his possession and therefore accountable for the damage. Matt wanted me to take the car about 2.5 hrs away from my home (to be fixed), for me to pay for the rental car with not estimated time of repair. I have tried contacting him by phone and text. To date, it has been a month later and still not fixed. “Out of sight, out of mind”. So, my final thought is to warn you about the customer service and the lack of accountability at Indian Land Transmissions.

Was in Charlotte working one day and my girls Nissan started running weird. Car started jerking when you trying to speed up. Thinking it was a transmission issue I stopped by here because it was closest in the area + the engine light was on and flashing. I pulled in and some guy came out and greeted me. I explained the situation and he was happy to help me figure out the issue. He grabbed his code reader and hooked it up to the Nissan. When the code came back, he claimed he had to go to the computer to translate the code, which is usually right. He came back and confirmed with me that it was 100% the transmission code showing and that I needed a new transmission. He then said they would be able to do the job if I was interested in having it done. He quoted me $4200 on the spot for the transmission and labor to put it in. I just told him I was gonna have it towed home until I considered my options. He offered me to leave the car there if I wanted to but I just insisted that I have it towed. Here’s where the TRUTH comes in. The next day, I took it to a transmission shop in my hometown in Gastonia. The mechanic there inspected the car and even drove it. When he returned, he said that he couldn’t tell if it was the transmission or another issue. He claimed it was either that or one of the spark plugs was blown causing it to run rough. He said the only way to tell would be to replace the plugs. So he did. I paid $220 for the work to be done. Once done the mechanic came out and confirmed the plugs were 100% the reason my car was having the pulling affect. This shop blatantly tried to sell me a transmission I didn’t need! Just my experience be warned. If he’ll try it on me he will definitely target older folks + woman.

I brought my C4 1966 mustang transmission into the shop for "leaking fluid". They repaired the first time and I made it to my house but then only had reverse. They paid for a tow and repaired a second time. This time I made it 1.5 miles from the shop before it stopped working. The third time I got it to the house, but unfortunately, the leaking continued worse than ever. Recently I took it to a different shop only to learn that several seals were put in backwards so they weren't sealing at all. I don't have any faith in this shop...at least for a classic car.
