We wanted to trade in our vehicle for specious vehicle and that what we received from sarge. My wife and I explained our budget and sarge found a vehicle that was right for my family. I had an appointment today for EV maintenance because when I would take my car to other places they would say “we don’t do EV, go to the dealership”. Turns out EV maintenance is just a top off of fluids and tire rotation! Anyway I came to the dealership with an appointment. They did a full inspection and even ran some codes on my car since a refill light kept going off even though they had filled it. They rotated my tires and put a new battery in my key fob. The price was AMAZING! Honestly I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg at a dealership but they offer free inspections! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took a total of 2.5 hours even with an appt, but everyone was very friendly and not pushy!

I regret to say that my experience with McGrath City Hyundai Car Dealership/Service Department has been utterly disappointing. I dropped off my vehicle on 4/11, hoping to resolve an ongoing issue. Little did I know, this would mark the beginning of an agonizing saga of false promises, misinformation, and endless delays. I received an invoice on 4/12, informing me of the repairs that had to be approved. Relieved, I approved them and anticipated a swift resolution. Much to my surprise, I was then called on 4/16 from Nick to verify the repairs I had already approved, and was told it would cost $2,000+, to which I responded, please look up my warranty. I was then asked, “so if your warranty doesn’t cover the repairs, do you still approve the repairs?”, to which I replied, “yes, but I’m sure it’s covered by my warranty”. (Note: I had said the same thing when I brought my vehicle in and was told about a $180 inspection fee) I received a call about an hour later and was told “you’re going to like this news… Luckily, I was able to get those repairs covered for you, so it doesn’t look like you’ll have to pay that $2,000+”. That conversation ended with me being told my repairs are likely to be completed by the 18th/19th-ish. However, days turned into weeks, and my car remained in their possession. Each time I inquired about the status, I was met with vague assurances that it would "probably just be another day.” Communication from their end was virtually nonexistent. I had to constantly reach out for updates, only to be met with different stories regarding the progress of the repairs. It seemed as though they were making up excuses as they went along, offering conflicting explanations for the prolonged delay. What truly baffles me is that I had brought my vehicle in a few months prior for the same issue, only to be told that "no issues were found" after a two-week evaluation. It's beyond comprehension how they could fail to identify a problem that clearly persisted. Furthermore, the repeated assurances that they were "checking to see if the parts were available," despite already supposedly working on my vehicle, only served to exacerbate my frustration. It became apparent that their words held little weight, and their actions were riddled with incompetence. As of today, nearly three weeks since I initially dropped off my car, I am still without my vehicle. This entire ordeal has been a nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone considering their services to proceed with extreme caution. The utter lack of accountability, professionalism, and respect for their customers is truly appalling. Although it appears that there may be a few good employees and they’re kind, it appears very little progress is being made, and the service manager, Miguel Caro, has been less than helpful and even informed me “I’ve only been back a couple of months, so I’m not aware of everything that’s going on.” I called today 4/29 at 12:06pm, spoke with Christina and was told “let me look up the status of your parts,” placed on hold, then told “I’ll have the service manager (Miguel) call you back, because he’s working with a customer.” ... he never called. For accountability purposes, for anybody reading this review, it’s always in your best interest to document all interactions when dealing with situations such as this. 4/30 Nick reached out to me 10:50am to notify me that after the repairs were completed, my transmission failed a test . A request was made to replace it. Approval is needed, and someone would be out this week to authorize/inspect car. 5/1 Nick followed up with me. notified me that the adjuster showed up today, inspected the vehicle, and that we should be good to go once the inspector completes their tasks ... I'll fill this in later...(character limit) 5/23 - here we are. I just had to call the dealership for another update and was notified that my part is in, BUT it may take an additional week before the installation is completed.

After a LOT of very challenging time, McGrath service department seems to have turned a corner. Early 2023 I had two insurance related repairs that were nuts - could not get through to them on the phone, days, weeks without contact, insurance agent had to come there in person to get the estimates and paperwork. Today, however, was a dream for general service. Seemed like there were plenty of desk agents, I was in and out very quickly, and everyone super friendly . They said that they are continuing to work on their systems to expect additional improvements. It took 3-4 weeks to schedule the appointment, for example. I've always been happy with their work quality, so I will be staying with them for now.

They usually get me out pretty quick. Their lounge got an upgrade too! I enjoyed tv and a nice chai latte while waiting. Services are still a bit too pricey though.
