Honda of Salem Service Center Introduce

Welcome to the Honda of Salem Service Center, located at 1101 Van Ness Ave NE suite #100, Salem, OR 97301, USA. As a specialized "Auto Repair Station" focused on Honda vehicles, the Honda of Salem Service Center offers a dedicated point of service for Honda owners in the Salem area. While associated with a dealership, the service center operates to provide maintenance, repair, and other automotive services specifically tailored to the needs of Honda cars, trucks, and SUVs. Customer reviews offer a mixed perspective, highlighting strong points in customer service and communication, while also noting concerns regarding the cost of certain services.

Based on the experiences shared by real customers, the Honda of Salem Service Center exhibits the following characteristics:

Good Customer Service: One recurring positive aspect is the quality of customer service. A customer who has been visiting the dealership for 2 1/2 years specifically mentions "very good customer service." This suggests a focus on ensuring a positive and satisfactory experience for those who choose to have their Honda vehicles serviced here.

Clear Communication: Effective communication is crucial in the auto repair industry, and the Honda of Salem Service Center appears to excel in this area. The same long-term customer notes that "They communicate clearly the things we need to fix in our car." This transparency helps customers understand the necessary repairs and make informed decisions about their vehicle maintenance.

Customer Amenities: The service center provides amenities to enhance the customer waiting experience. These include a dedicated waiting area and complimentary coffee, which can make the time spent during vehicle servicing more comfortable and convenient.

However, the reviews also bring to light certain considerations regarding the cost of services:

Perceived High Labor Costs: One customer expressed concern about the labor costs, citing an example of a $45 labor charge for an oil change even when the customer provided their own oil and filter. While the customer acknowledges that "all dealerships over charge for parts and service," this feedback indicates that the labor rates at the Honda of Salem Service Center might be higher compared to independent repair shops.

Potentially High Prices for Minor Services: The same reviewer mentioned a quote of $200 for swapping out four easily accessible spark plugs, which they deemed excessive ("no more than 20min, no thank you. Wild."). This suggests that the pricing for certain straightforward services might be significantly higher than what customers might find elsewhere.

Addressing Issues Caused by Other Mechanics: The customer who brought their Insight in for an oil change did so specifically because a tech at another dealership had overtightened the oil drain plug. This indicates that the Honda of Salem Service Center is willing and able to address issues that may have been caused by errors at other service providers, highlighting their expertise in Honda vehicles.

The environment of the Honda of Salem Service Center, being part of a dealership, likely includes:

  • A professional and well-maintained service bay area equipped with specialized tools and diagnostic equipment designed for Honda vehicles.
  • A customer reception area with service advisors who handle customer interactions, explain repair options, and process paperwork.
  • The aforementioned waiting area with amenities like seating and complimentary coffee.
  • Potentially access to genuine Honda parts directly from the dealership's parts department.
  • A clean and organized facility reflecting the standards of a reputable dealership service center.

The services offered at the Honda of Salem Service Center are primarily focused on Honda vehicles and likely encompass a comprehensive range of automotive needs, including:

  • Adherence to Honda's service standards and procedures.
  • The convenience of being located at a Honda dealership.
  • The provision of customer amenities like a waiting area and complimentary coffee.

Honda of Salem Service Center Customer Reviews

Good service, but things are so expensive now. Oil change cost 45 dollars just for labor even though I provided my own oil and oil filter. Can't blame them though. All dealerships over charge for parts and service. Just they way the industry works. A few years ago it only cost me 20 dollars for labor. Only reason I brought my insight in for an oil change is a tech at another dealership where I bought the car over torqued the hell out of the oil drain plug. 200 dollars to swap out 4 easy to access spark plugs that takes no more than 20min, no thank you. Wild.

Jordan is the very best service advisor I have ever experienced in 17 years of owning my CRV in 3 states. She is very helpful, honest and informed about my vehicle. Thank you for having Jordan on your service team. I will continue to come back to Jordan and tell others to see Jordan. I have a friend who also gives Jordan high scores.

Great customer service and quick wait time. They always keep you informed as you go with text and you can text them with questions thought out your wait time. Nice that if there is an issue they ask you before hand if you want that additional service done before they perform it also.

Great service! We loved the car from the start, and loved it even more after it had been detailed. Our sales person was great and we will go to him in the future.
