Our family cannot think this place enough they went above and beyond a shout out to Alex for being so kind to my wife and really helping us get our car fixed. We just moved here from Arizona and it really made us feel like we were home with the way we were treated at this awesome establishment. Hillman Family Automotive has been servicing my Toyotas and Hondas for about 10 years. I recently purchased a vintage Tacoma that their expert is helping to restore. Such a great experience! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. David took time to explain everything to me and was so patient. Mark was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like my truck was safer and more reliable. I made an appointment for my daughter’s truck to get serviced next.

Been here a couple of times before for service and they’ve been very helpful every time. Called today for a brake light out and Will was really helpful on the phone. He said they’d be happy to take a look same day despite being fully booked up on New Year’s Eve. Alex popped a new light in my car and had me out of there in minutes. These are some of the most helpful and local mechanics you can go to in the area, and I would highly recommend calling them before you go to a corporate auto parts store, they usually have whatever you need with way better service and similar pricing.

Update 3/9/25: HFA just prepped my 2011 Honda CRV for a road trip. New tires, brakes, front struts, LOF and a thorough inspection. Nothing unexpected for a vehicle with 150k miles. Very impressed with the service here. I took my recently purchased Subaru in because the brakes were feeling funny and it turned out I needed new brakes, an oil pan and numerous other repairs. David sent the estimate quickly and when we found out it was covered under the warranty, but had to be serviced in Asheville he did not charge anything for their time spent on my vehicle. I have already recommended Hillman Automotive to family members and will definitely be using their services in the future. Thanks for being an honest dependable company.

I highly recommend Hillman Family Automotive. My car is back to its old self now that it had been properly diagnosed and repaired. I’m thankful to have a trustworthy mechanic in Sylva. Definitely plan to come back next time my car needs maintenance.
