Ken is the only person I trust with my car. I drive a 2013 Honda Accord and I always make sure to take my car to Hayward Auto Care when I’m driving from San Diego to the Bay. I’ve gone to multiple mechanics in the San Diego, and I thought that all mechanics were the same, until I was proven wrong one day when I drove to the Bay and wanted to let Ken see my car before I drove back down. Immediately he noticed I had a massive oil leak in my engine that my mechanic in SD completely missed. It was actually very dangerous for me to be driving my car with the engine in that condition. And I took my car to that mechanic only a month before my trip. Not only did Ken fix up my engine, he gave me advice for maintenance that I needed in my car to prevent any other accidents that could happen. And after following this advice, I never have had any issues with my car and only come in for yearly maintenance checks and oil changes. Not all mechanics have a keen eye in checking for future damages but Ken goes above and beyond to check the car fully to make sure it’s safe to drive, and as someone who constantly drives friends and family members, that’s really important to me. If you’re looking for a new mechanic and want to support a local small business, I highly recommend this place. His wife Wendy is also very sweet and helpful, and I enjoy catching up with them whenever I see them.

Came to smog my car and was charged $70. When I left they provided me with coupons for discount on my next servings including a $14.95 discount on smog check. My wife car also needed a smog so I came back 2 hours later and presented discount smog coupon. I was told smog check was $85 and with coupon it would be $70. So they don’t honor discounts they advertise and provide to customers. I felt they were not being honest.

The coolest guy I’ve ever met for auto needs he put on my car back Exhaust for my mustang and he done it in less then a day will definitely come back and they have good sense of humor reached out to my friends to this place

I've been going to this shop for a year now and I could not be happier. They really do know how to take care of you and your car. They got my 98 Civic working like a champ! All while making it look like million bucks! Just check the before and after pics! If I could give these guys a 10-star rating I'd give them 100. Definitely recommend getting your car fixed by them.

Took my car in because my car would shake when I would break and for the longest time I got different answers from different shops but my husband found Hayward Auto Care and I’m so glad he did! Our mechanic found the issue right away and charged me a lot less then the other places were and turns out the issue wasn’t even what I was told by the other places, it was something else and they found it and fixed it in a day! I will definitely be taking my car back here! I haven’t been able to drive my car for over 6 months and I finally have my car back it drives so good now! I would definitely go with HAC from now on!
