Goodyear Auto Service Introduce
Welcome to the overview of Goodyear Auto Service, situated at 3453 S Arlington Rd in Akron, Ohio. Operating within the Auto Repair Stations category, Goodyear Auto Service provides a variety of services and goods related to vehicle maintenance and repair. This introduction aims to offer local users a detailed perspective on the environment, services, features, and any discernible promotional aspects based on recent customer feedback available online. It is important to note that the following description is derived solely from the provided customer reviews and aims to present an objective picture.
Based on the limited information regarding the physical environment of the Akron location, it is challenging to paint a comprehensive picture. However, as part of a well-known national chain, customers might expect a standardized service center environment, typically equipped with service bays, diagnostic tools, and a customer waiting area. The focus of the available reviews is primarily on the service experiences rather than the ambiance or facilities themselves.
The services mentioned in the customer reviews include a range of common auto repairs and maintenance. One customer reported having tires, brakes, and rotors replaced. Additionally, services such as tire rotation, strut replacement, axle repair, hub repair, and O2 sensor replacement were also mentioned. This suggests that the Akron Goodyear Auto Service location offers a fairly comprehensive suite of services expected from an auto repair station, addressing both routine maintenance and more significant repairs. The fact that they handle tire replacements aligns with the Goodyear brand's history and expertise in the tire industry. However, it's important to note that the quality and execution of these services, as perceived by the customers, are central to their feedback.
The features of Goodyear Auto Service, as inferred from the reviews, are somewhat mixed. Being part of a national chain, one might expect benefits such as established warranty programs and standardized procedures. However, one review detailed a negative experience regarding warranty coverage on rotors, where the customer felt the reasoning for denial was not justified. Another potential feature could be the availability of Goodyear tires and related services. However, the reviews do not particularly emphasize any unique features that consistently stand out positively. Instead, they highlight areas of concern regarding service execution and customer communication.
In terms of promotional information, there is no explicit promotional content provided in the reviews. However, the mention of a warranty on replaced parts (tires, brakes, and rotors) could be considered a form of implicit promotion, suggesting a commitment to the quality of their work. The negative experience with the rotor warranty, however, undermines this aspect. Typically, auto service centers may offer promotions on seasonal maintenance, tire purchases, or package deals, but no such information is available in the provided text. The lack of positive promotional mentions in the reviews suggests that their current focus, at least from the perspective of these customers, might not be on active promotion but rather on delivering consistent and satisfactory service.
Analyzing the customer feedback reveals some critical issues that local users should be aware of:
Warranty Issues: One customer experienced a disagreement regarding warranty coverage, leading to unexpected costs.
Quality of Subsequent Work: Following the initial repairs (tires, brakes, rotors), the same customer reported new noises and a decline in the car's smooth driving, suggesting potential issues with the subsequent work (rotor and brake pad replacement).
Unnecessary Repairs: The discrepancy in brake pad condition assessment between NTB (10% wear) and Goodyear (requiring replacement) raises concerns about potentially unnecessary service recommendations.
Communication and Transparency: The instance where a diagnostic fee was mentioned an hour after the car drop-off, despite an initial assurance of a free look, indicates potential issues with transparent communication regarding costs.
Appointment Adherence and Timeliness: Another customer reported significant delays in service initiation despite having scheduled appointments, leading to inconvenience and broken promises regarding completion times.
Customer Support Effectiveness: Contacting customer support after a negative review reportedly resulted only in a verbal apology without any tangible resolution.
Given these points, local users considering Goodyear Auto Service in Akron based solely on this feedback should approach with caution and perhaps seek further information or recent reviews from other sources to get a more balanced perspective. While the initial repairs mentioned in one review were completed, the subsequent issues and the experiences of the second reviewer regarding scheduling and communication raise significant concerns about overall service reliability and customer satisfaction at this specific location.
In conclusion, while Goodyear Auto Service in Akron offers a range of standard auto repair services, the provided customer reviews highlight potential challenges related to warranty claims, the quality of subsequent repairs, transparency in communication regarding costs, adherence to appointment schedules, and the effectiveness of their customer support in resolving issues. Local users should weigh these points carefully when considering this Auto Repair Station for their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. It would be prudent to seek additional feedback or consider alternatives to ensure a positive and trustworthy service experience.

Goodyear Auto Service Customer Reviews
Good year replaced my tires, breaks, and rotors back in August. My car is a 2014. So of course it will need repairs. I got my tires rotated, new struts, axel and hubs fixed at NTB. Car drove great after no noises drove very smoothly. But they told me due to my struts going bad it seized my rotors and should still be under warranty with goodyear. Took my car back to goodyear to have them fix them since they wer supposed to be still under warranty for a year. Goodyear calls me back saying due to the reasoning my rotors aren't covered under the warranty. Okay that's fine I pay the $399 to fix it and have them replace my 02 sensor as well. NTB told me my breaks were still good and at 10 percent prior. Good year tells me I need to replace the pads again with the rotors , although this was done in August. I didn't argue I just had them do it. Well now my car is making noises it never made before after they replaced the rotors and front break pads. My car doesn't drive smoothly like it did before taking it into them. They told me it wouldn't cost anything to look at my car for the work they recently did. I get a call about and hour after I drop off my car. Saying it will cost me for a half hour diagnosis. They don't stand behind their work. I will never take my car back to them or recommend them to anyone. I don't feel like they are honest and they definitely do not stand behind their work.

Your car will be EVENTUALLY fixed. So my car has been here on two different occasions for two different types of repairs. The first repair job was back in November. The second repair was at the end of January. So my issue with the Goodyear service center on Arlington is not the quality of repairs. But when they say they will start working on your car. So on both repair visits I made an appointment for 8:00 a.m. when they open. Assuming they would start working on the car at 8:00 a.m. so it would be done at the end of the day as I was promised by the repair shop. On both repair visits they did not even look at my vehicle until a day and a half later. Don't give somebody a appointment and promise to do the work when you don't intend on doing it until the next afternoon. On both occasions this created work scheduling issues for me. And arranging a friend to pick me up to and from the repair shop. Both repair visits were minor work and shouldn't have taken more than 2 hours per repair job. The first job they had my car for 3 days. And 2 days for the second repair job. Both of which I was promised the repairs would be done at the end of the day from drop off. The repair work themselves on both jobs were done well. I've already called their customer support phone number that they respond with when you leave a review. It really doesn't get you anywhere other than a verbal apology. I need to find another place that delivers on what they promise.

We spent all morning checking prices to fix my daughter tire. Jackie gave a price of 191 out the door matching a further location that we called the day before that was open later in the day. Showed up for appt , was then told we have to work it in. No real appt ever set . Then at pickup time jackie was gone, no record of 191 price. They even called her. She denied the conversation. We chose this place as they beat everywhere else. By pickup time, we paid the highest price. Never again, will never be back.

We blew out two tires on our trailer, 15 minutes before this place was closing. Derek and Jeff were so accommodating. Not only did they give us 2 of the trailer tires they were purchasing for their own trailer, they gave us a great deal, they changed both tires on the spot and we were back on the road in 30 minutes! Amazing!!! We are so grateful!! This place is between our home and our campsite, but we will for sure do business with them again in the future. We will drive the extra miles for their excellent service ⭐️

I had been going to Conrad’s for years and had been treated so poorly and ripped off so many times, but I was afraid to go anywhere else. Once I finally made the change, I decided to try out Goodyear, hoping it’d be my new go-to auto shop! My first experience was amazing! The two guys at the counter made me feel so welcome and they were very informative when it came to the work for my car. I was so relieved to find an auto shop that was reliable and friendly! My 2nd experience was the complete opposite. I had scheduled an oil change and wheel alignment for Saturday, August 31st in the afternoon. The morning of my appointment, I received a call from a very friendly guy named Cory, he informed me that they were short staffed and asked if I could reschedule my appointment. Absolutely, no problem at all! I asked if they were open on Labor Day since my normal week days would not work. He said yes and rescheduled me for 3pm on Monday, September 2nd. Before hanging up, I asked if they could replace my brake light and he said yes and very enthusiastically told me that they’d get everything done for me and appreciated me for working with them to reschedule. On Monday, I walk into the shop and am immediately told by the guy at the counter that he only had time to do my oil change because “it was a holiday and they were trying to get out of here”. I was so caught off guard by this. As I was waiting for my oil to get changed I heard him answer the phone and say his name was Cory. After he got off the phone, I asked him if he was the one I talked to on Saturday, he said no and that he’s been on vacation and he just got back. I was glad to hear that because the Cory I originally talked to was super kind and helpful and this one was not. After, my oil was changed, I asked how long a wheel alignment and getting my brake light replaced would’ve taken and why he said over an hour. They still had two hours until they closed… he then proceeded to tell me that I need more additional work done on my car, why would you tell me that I need more work done when you refuse to do the work I had scheduled to come in for in the first place?!?! I was and am still and fuming about this situation, what a waste of my time!
