Firestone Complete Auto Care Introduce

Firestone Complete Auto Care, located at 4850 Maple Dr, Pleasant Hill, IA 50327, functions as a prominent establishment within the Auto Repair Stations category. This type of business is typically a full-service automotive center, offering a wide array of maintenance, repair, and parts sales for various vehicle makes and models. Firestone, as a national chain, aims to provide comprehensive automotive solutions to its customers, from routine upkeep to more complex mechanical issues, and often stocks a selection of common auto parts for immediate repairs and sales.

The environment of a Firestone Complete Auto Care location is generally designed to be a functional automotive service center. This typically includes a garage area with multiple service bays equipped with lifts and diagnostic tools, a waiting area for customers, and a counter for service consultation and payment. The goal is to facilitate efficient vehicle servicing while providing a comfortable space for customers during their wait. While specific details about the interior of this particular Pleasant Hill location are not extensively detailed, the standard Firestone model emphasizes cleanliness and organization within its service bays and customer areas. The expectation for customers is to experience a professional setting where their vehicle's needs are addressed by trained technicians. However, customer experiences can sometimes deviate from this ideal, as indicated by some online reviews, which highlight issues such as unstaffed service desks and a perceived lack of urgency from employees.

Firestone Complete Auto Care offers a broad spectrum of services, consistent with its classification as an Auto Repair Station. These services generally encompass:

  • Tire Sales and Service: As a brand historically associated with tires, Firestone locations typically offer a vast selection of tires for various vehicles, along with services such as tire installation, rotation, balancing, and flat repair. Customers often visit for new tire purchases or routine tire maintenance.
  • Oil Changes and Fluid Services: This includes conventional, synthetic blend, and full synthetic oil changes, along with filter replacements. They also perform services like coolant flushes, transmission fluid exchanges, and power steering fluid flushes, essential for vehicle longevity and performance.
  • Brake Services: Comprehensive brake inspections, brake pad and rotor replacement, brake fluid flushes, and caliper repair are standard offerings. These services are crucial for vehicle safety.
  • Battery Testing and Replacement: Diagnosis of battery issues and replacement with new batteries when necessary.
  • Wheel Alignment: Ensuring proper wheel alignment to prevent uneven tire wear and improve handling.
  • Suspension Services: Inspection and repair of shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
  • Engine Diagnostics and Repair: Using specialized equipment to diagnose engine issues indicated by warning lights and performing necessary repairs.
  • Vehicle Inspections: General vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Other General Maintenance: Services like wiper blade replacement, headlight restoration, and belt and hose inspections and replacements.

The feature of Firestone Complete Auto Care as a national chain is its standardized approach to service and product offerings. This means that customers can expect a consistent level of service and access to a wide range of Firestone-branded and other reputable auto parts. The chain also frequently runs promotions and offers financing options for larger repairs or tire purchases. They often emphasize the certification of their technicians, aiming to instill confidence in their service quality. Many Firestone locations also offer digital vehicle inspections, providing customers with detailed reports and photos of their vehicle's condition, which can be a valuable tool for transparency and decision-making.

However, an objective introduction must also acknowledge customer experiences, which can significantly shape public perception. The provided reviews for the 4850 Maple Dr location in Pleasant Hill indicate some areas where customer service and operational execution have fallen short. One review describes a significant wait time in the lobby with no immediate assistance, suggesting a potential lack of attentiveness or sufficient staffing during certain periods. This can lead to a negative first impression and a feeling of being undervalued as a customer. The second review highlights a more serious concern regarding services that were reportedly charged for but not performed. This raises significant questions about accountability, quality control, and customer trust. The customer's subsequent struggle to receive a refund and the perceived passive-aggressive response from Firestone's corporate communication further compound the negative experience. The fact that a local Firestone location could easily verify the claimed service but the customer still faced hurdles in obtaining a resolution points to potential disconnects in internal processes and customer dispute resolution mechanisms.

For potential customers, these reviews serve as important data points to consider when choosing an auto repair station. While Firestone Complete Auto Care offers a comprehensive suite of services and the convenience of a national brand, the experience at individual locations can vary. It's advisable for customers to communicate clearly about the services they need, confirm the scope of work, and retain all documentation. When considering promotional information from Firestone, which often focuses on competitive pricing, warranties, and certified technicians, it's prudent for local users to balance these offerings with recent local customer feedback. Ultimately, the choice of an auto repair station often comes down to a combination of trust, convenience, and perceived value, all of which are influenced by both the stated promises of the business and the real-world experiences of its patrons.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Customer Reviews

We arrived to purchase tires, and we waited in the lobby for literally 20 minutes without anyone coming to help us. There was no one in the actual shop working. It was after 3 pm they were absolutely open and did not appear to be busy. When they finally went into the shop they could see me through the glass door and still didn’t come to help. Real amazing customer service. I guess they don’t need my business that much. This location really sucks, definitely wont be spending my money here. Thank you.

On 9/5/2024 we had our vehicle serviced for an oil change, and a tire rotation. We were informed the vehicle was in dire need of brake and coolant flush. Since we were from out of town and only had the one vehicle, we scheduled a return visit 9/6/2024 (next day) for the brake and coolant flush. We had to wait for 3.5 hrs while this work was being performed and was charged $292.25. Imagine our surprise this last week when we had to pay for and or have these services performed again (less than 5,000 miles later) at our local Firestone location, as the service was never performed. My paperwork list: Performed by Noah Shipman and Certified by Megan Boyer. 5/6/2025 Update: Received the message below from Firestone requesting the same information that is already listed in my review. I will be forwarding the requested information; but feel I should have immediately received a call from Firestone with an apology and issue of a full refund. We cannot get back our time that their service departed stole from us, but should without a doubt receive our money back for services not performed. The requirement to provide information that is already provided and in Firestone's electronic database; seems redundant and a passive aggressive response to my review. Our local Firestone service center had not problem pulling up this information in their system to confirm the services were claimed to be provided and paid for. 5/12/2025 Update. I have not been contacted by email or phone from Firestone.

I had low tire pressure on the third morning of my cross-country trip from Arizona to Wisconsin. At first it was a slow leak and I could keep the tire happy by stopping and giving it with air a couple off times a day. It was 7am on my 3rd day of driving. I'm tired. I just want to be home. But the tire was down to 10lbs pressure. I took the Altoona exit and found help at Firestone. The first one I went to was booked for the day, but a lovely woman named Katherine called the nearby Pleasant Hills location and asked them to help me first thing. Jaime at Pleasant Hills was wonderful. The technician got my car in, found a nail, removed it, patched the hole, and the remaining 400 miles were a breeze. I am so grateful Wish I'd gotten the mechanic's name too. This was Saturday, March 15th. The day Firestone had a bunch of superheroes working the morning shift. Thank you!

Jaime and his team were tremendous. He went above and beyond to help me when my car decided to not start. His customer service was by far the best that I have ever seen. Next time I am traveling though, I am definitely stopping at this location every time.

Great service and the people are wonderful. The price is a little high but you get what u pay for. It's very hard to find a great shop. That also communicates and tries not to up sell something you don't need. The shop in Pleasant Hill, IA got a customer for a long time now.
