Erie Truck & Trailer Inc Introduce

Erie Truck & Trailer Inc, situated at 12723 US-19, Waterford, PA 16441, operates as a specialized service provider within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category. As its name suggests, this establishment focuses on the repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers, including heavy-duty vehicles. This specialization indicates they cater to a clientele that includes individual truck owners, commercial fleets, and those with larger trailers, offering services beyond what a typical passenger vehicle repair shop might provide. You can reach them at (814) 796-1036 or via mobile at +1 814-796-1036.

Environment

As a facility specializing in truck and trailer repair, the environment at Erie Truck & Trailer Inc would be designed to handle large vehicles and heavy-duty equipment. Customers can expect a robust and functional workshop space, likely featuring high bay doors, large vehicle lifts, and specialized tools for truck and trailer components. This includes equipment for welding, frame straightening, and servicing heavy-duty braking and suspension systems. The atmosphere would be that of a professional commercial vehicle repair center, prioritizing efficiency and the capability to manage significant repair jobs. Given the nature of their work, cleanliness would likely be focused on the operational areas, ensuring a safe and productive environment for mechanics. Ample space for maneuvering and parking large trucks and trailers would also be a crucial aspect of their external environment.

Services

Erie Truck & Trailer Inc provides a range of specialized services tailored to the needs of trucks and trailers. While not an exhaustive list, based on the customer reviews and the business name, their services likely include:

  • Heavy-Duty Welding Services: One review specifically highlights "gram welding on a lowboy" and praises the "job is beyond expectations," indicating a strong proficiency in complex and critical welding for heavy equipment and trailers. This suggests they handle structural repairs that require specialized welding expertise.

  • Truck Repair: This would encompass a wide array of mechanical and electrical repairs for various types of trucks, from light-duty commercial trucks to semi-trucks. Services could include engine diagnostics, transmission repair, brake system maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Trailer Repair: They would service different types of trailers, including flatbeds, lowboys, utility trailers, and potentially specialized trailers. This could involve suspension repair, brake work, wiring, lighting, and structural repairs.

  • General Vehicle Maintenance (for Trucks & Trailers): This would include routine checks, fluid changes, and inspections specific to heavy-duty vehicles to ensure longevity and compliance with regulations.

  • Parts Sales (Potentially): While not explicitly detailed, repair shops specializing in trucks and trailers often carry or can source parts specific to these larger vehicles, which might not be readily available at standard auto parts stores.

The positive review emphasizes their commitment to doing the job "all the way right," even declining a "touch up fix" if it didn't meet their quality standards. This speaks to a dedication to thorough and correct repairs.

Features

Erie Truck & Trailer Inc possesses several notable features that distinguish it as a service provider:

  • Specialization in Trucks and Trailers: Their primary feature is a dedicated focus on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This specialization implies a higher level of expertise, specialized equipment, and a better understanding of the unique demands and complexities of these vehicles compared to a general automotive repair shop.

  • Commitment to Quality Work: The customer review explicitly praises the "job is beyond expectations" and their refusal to perform a "touch up fix" unless it could be done "all the way right." This demonstrates a strong commitment to quality and integrity in their repairs.

  • Honest and Transparent Pricing: The phrase "the team was 100% honest on pricing and even though yes I asked for a touch up fix... All done price was exactly what I was quoted" highlights a key feature of honesty and transparency in their billing practices, which is highly valued by customers in the automotive repair industry.

  • Skilled Welding Expertise: The specific mention of "gram welding on a lowboy" and the exceptional results suggest that they possess advanced welding capabilities, essential for structural repairs on heavy equipment and trailers.

  • Inconsistent Operating Hours: A significant feature, unfortunately, is the discrepancy in their stated operating hours versus actual closing times. One customer notes that "doors are already locked and everyone is already gone" 20-30 minutes before the stated 5 PM closing time, even when trying to get parts. This inconsistency can be a source of frustration for customers trying to access services or parts.

Promotional Information

While no explicit advertising or promotional campaigns are provided, Erie Truck & Trailer Inc's promotional power largely stems from its specialized services and strong positive word-of-mouth for quality and honesty.

  • Reputation for Honesty and Quality: The glowing review emphasizing "100% honest on pricing" and work "beyond expectations" serves as powerful organic promotion. For commercial vehicle owners, trust and reliability are paramount, and Erie Truck & Trailer Inc appears to deliver on these fronts.

  • Specialization as a Draw: For those in Waterford, PA, and surrounding areas who own or operate trucks and trailers, the very name and known specialization of Erie Truck & Trailer Inc acts as a direct beacon. They don't need to broadly advertise general auto repair when their name clearly defines their niche and targets the specific market of heavy-duty vehicle owners.

  • Customer Service Contact: The provided phone numbers (814) 796-1036 and +1 814-796-1036 are crucial for potential customers to inquire about services, get quotes, or schedule repairs. Given the positive feedback on pricing honesty, direct inquiry is likely encouraged.

However, it is vital to address the concern regarding their operating hours. The negative review regarding early closures is a significant piece of information that potential customers should be aware of. While their repair quality is praised, the inaccessibility for parts or late-day service is a practical issue. Therefore, for local users considering Erie Truck & Trailer Inc, it is highly recommended to call ahead, especially if planning to visit towards the end of their stated business hours, to confirm their availability. This will help ensure a smoother experience and avoid wasted trips, allowing customers to fully benefit from their acclaimed repair quality and honest dealings for heavy-duty truck and trailer needs in the Waterford area.

I can say the team was 100% honest on pricing and even though yes I asked for a touch up fix on my gram welding on a lowboy, they said if we don’t do it all the way right we can not touch it! All done price was exactly what I was quoted and job is beyond expectations! #blessed #chirinolyfestyle #ifajamiami

Every single time that ive tried coming here to get parts, anywhere between 430-5pm since that's usually the time I'm coming through, the doors are already locked and everyone is already gone. Hours say open from 8-5 but really it's closed 20-30 minutes early. Would be nice if they would update their hours to the accurate time.

Henry the owner is a dishonest crook, go anywhere else! He thumps the Bible and then still does dishonest things to customers. He should know better. Do not do business with low life's or Erie Truck and Trailer!

Erie's shop is extremely friendly and accommodating. My husband and I, while enroute, realized we had a brake problem. We called them and Paul was able to see us same day. He assessed our situation, ordered needed parts, and we were back there at 8 the next morning and out within a few hours. Thanks much to Davy for a job well done and Paul and the woman at the front desk. Rex & Yvonne

CAUTION: I just had a state inspection and oil change on my 2011 Coachmen Motorhome today at Erie Truck and Trailer. (The only repair was to a backup light) I’ve had the same service performed in Florida and at the dealer’s in Delmont, PA over the last 3 years and was never charged more than $350. THIS was $722, the most expensive routine inspection and oil change service I’ve ever had, including on any of my Mercedes! When I asked why such a high bill the mechanic Paul said: “you didn’t ask what it cost when I brought it in!” Over their front service counter their sign reads: PA inspection $100 !! . I asked for an oil filter change and state inspection PERIOD! I feel I was mislead and grossly over-charged. Yes, I reluctantly paid the bill and left. So, if you use these guys BEWARE and ask first. On the way home , my hydraulic unit burnt out and I limped back to my farm in Cambridge Springs smoking. Unrelated, maybe? Worked fine before taking in there. I will never go back there again, and if you do - BEWARE! Dave , Allison Park, PA
