I rarely will publicly review any business but in this case this work is unacceptable. I spoke with the owner Larry about my car. I wanted a 4 bbl carb intake and new cam installed. Larry said he could do the cam and carb in a week. Thinking this was a fair amount I scheduled to drop my car off. I dropped my car off and unfortunately for my timing he was moving to a new shop and couldn’t start on my car when he said he would. I was ok with that thinking it was being done correctly. As time went on he sent me photos on stuff he was doing. He rebuilt the alternator, ( I never asked him to do that) he said he rebuilt the carburetor that I purchased from him. He was going to clean up the engine bay I guess I was ok with it since he was taking everything apart anyways. So I was trying to be as patient as possibly with his process but I was unhappy with the lack of communication from him. It took Larry almost 2 months to return a car that leaked gas everywhere, burned coolant and oil, had a massive oil leak and had to be trailered out.I reached out to Larry when I started inspecting the quality of work and requested partial money back. I was greeted with a NO! So I took it as a lesson learned. As I have removed the engine from the car we have found the intake manifold was not installed correctly, an oil breather that went under the intake was not put back in. The timing cover and valve covers were not sealed correctly and were leaking large amounts of oil. Please see attached photos. Before taking your car to this shop ask yourself one question, how much do you like your car and do you want to put more than double the money into it. Stay clear of this shop and check the reviews are from people he’s friends with.

Thank you Larry and Lindsay for taking such good care of my 1940 hot rod Pontiac. I drove my 1940 Pontiac from West Virginia to my summer home here in Geneva on the lake and I had some problems with my vintage air conditioning, I called a few places and Larry was the only one that returned my call. Larry welcomed my in right after talking to him and he diagnosed my problem and professionally repaired it along with a few other upgrades. Thank you again

Very professional and courteous staff. Owner Larry’s enthusiastic about keeping your old vehicles alive and is always honest and helpful. The shop is clean ,organized and even has a full kitchen out front so you never leave hungry. Always a pleasure to deal with. No job too big or too small .
