D & S Totally Mobile Customer Reviews

On 8/8/13 I contacted D&S to provide road service for one of our trucks that was broke down between Elkhart and South Bend Ind. I spoke to a women, giving her the details and the drivers cell #. She told me the rate was 70.00 for service call and 70.00 per hour with a one hour minimum. Mileage of one dollar per mile was also mentioned. I agreed to these charges. The service tech showed up and proceeded to hook up his computer to the truck, checked fluids, and connections at the battery box. He Found a melted fuse in a fuse holder, changed fuse and gave 3 additional fuses to the driver. Total time spent with my driver was 45 minutes. They charged 376.24 to my credit card. I was billed an additional 70.00 because our truck was on the tollway. I was charged 85.00 for a computer scan of the truck. When the truck returned home it blew the same fuse and in the end it was being caused by a defective fuse holder. I am not a mechanic, but even with my minimal experience and knowledge, I am smart enough to check connections and fuses at the battery as one of my first steps. Be aware D&S charges what ever they want once they have you by the short hairs!!!!

They replaced a coolant hose and charged me $2k!! $700 was for a tow to their shop. The tow company charged them $598 but he charged me over $700! Charged $429 for the coolant hose! I would not use this company again they triple charged me

Don't ever call this company for any thing. They will lie and over charge you 3 times the price of the parts. Keep your sanity and call some one else please. The mechanic laughed in my face while they triple billed me. I was furious about the hole situation. I've been in business for 21 years and have never come close to doing business with crooks like this when you have a break down. DON'T EVER CALL THIS COMPANY. I PROMISE YOU,YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!!

Avoid. They are much too expensive. Our driver broke down 15 miles from their shop. Took 1h30min to show up. Electrical trouble. No electricity. Wire cut almost certainly. Mechanic spent 1h15min verifying and testing. Found nothing. Cost 386$. We had to tow the vehicule to a dealer. Cost 420$. Spent all day waiting for diagnostic and a 20 minutes repair (ground wire was cut). Cost 195$. Not a good day. Look further for a mobile service. By reading previous comments, not sure they have the right mecanics and knowledge.

Rude receptionist that refused to send anyone out to me to get help with my vehicle, because it wasn't a big truck or trailer. Currently stranded and needing specific help on wiring that maybe only her company can help with, but she wouldn't even entertain the issue and was indignant about it. Avoid avoid avoid!
