Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod Introduce

For residents of Milford, Ohio, and the surrounding areas, Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod, located at 779 US-50, Milford, OH 45150, USA, presents a unique blend within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations. This establishment appears to cater to both standard collision repair needs and custom hot rod work, suggesting a diverse skillset and facility. The available customer reviews offer contrasting experiences, highlighting both positive aspects of their work and significant concerns regarding communication and service timelines.

The environment of Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod likely encompasses a workshop area equipped for both collision repair and custom fabrication. This might include standard auto body tools and equipment, as well as specialized tools for custom work and hot rod modifications. The presence of "awesome cars getting worked on at the same time" suggests a facility that attracts enthusiasts and handles high-end or custom vehicles alongside regular collision repairs. However, the negative review details a lack of communication and attention to detail regarding a standard door ding repair, indicating a potential disparity in how different types of jobs are handled or in their overall organizational processes.

The services offered at Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod appear to span beyond typical collision repair. While they handle standard auto body work such as fixing door dings and likely more extensive collision damage (as implied by the name "Collision"), the "Rod" in their name suggests they also specialize in custom hot rod fabrication, modification, and potentially restoration. One customer brought in a standard Toyota Camry for work and noted the presence of custom cars, implying they cater to a wide range of vehicles and repair types. Services for collision repair would likely include dent removal, painting (including blending), and potentially frame repair. For custom rod work, services could range from modifications and upgrades to full custom builds and restorations. Local users interested in either collision repair or custom automotive work would find this establishment relevant.

Several features of Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod can be inferred from their name and the customer reviews. The dual specialization in collision repair and custom hot rods is a unique feature that might appeal to a diverse clientele. The positive reviews highlight their ease of working with insurance claims, reasonable pricing for out-of-pocket repairs, and the quality of their work. However, a significant concern raised in a negative review is the poor communication regarding repair timelines and the work being done. The repeated delays and lack of proactive updates led to considerable frustration. Additionally, the issue with clear coat overspray and the owner's initial denial of the problem raise concerns about attention to detail and customer service in addressing post-repair issues. The contrast between the positive experiences of some customers and the negative experience of another suggests potential inconsistencies in their service delivery or customer handling.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided customer reviews. Auto body shops and custom car facilities may occasionally offer promotions on specific services or have different pricing structures for insurance work versus out-of-pocket repairs. To ascertain any current promotions or to understand their pricing policies, local users should contact Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod directly at (513) 965-0555 or +1 513-965-0555. Given their dual focus, they might have different pricing or promotional structures for standard collision work compared to custom rod projects. Inquiring about estimates and timelines upfront would be advisable based on the mixed customer experiences.

The customer reviews for Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod present a polarized view of their service. Two customers reported positive experiences, citing ease of working with insurance, reasonable pricing for non-insurance work, and overall quality of the repairs. One of these customers even felt comfortable bringing in a standard vehicle despite the presence of high-end custom cars, indicating a welcoming attitude towards different types of jobs. However, the detailed negative review outlines a severely frustrating experience with a simple door ding repair. This customer reported significant delays, poor communication about the progress and the need for paint blending, and a dismissive attitude from the owner regarding a clear coat overspray issue that was later confirmed by another shop. This stark contrast suggests that while some customers have had positive experiences, there are potential issues with communication, timeline management, and post-repair customer service that local users should be aware of.

For local users in Milford, OH, considering Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod for their auto body needs, it is important to weigh these differing experiences. The fact that they handle both collision repair and custom rod work could be a benefit for those with specialized automotive interests. The positive reviews regarding ease of insurance claims and reasonable pricing for some jobs are also noteworthy. However, the significant issues raised in the negative review about communication, delays, and the handling of post-repair concerns should give potential customers pause. It would be prudent to get detailed estimates, clarify timelines, and perhaps seek references or additional reviews before entrusting their vehicle to this shop, especially for standard collision repairs where clear communication and timely completion are expected.

In conclusion, Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod in Milford, OH, offers a combination of collision repair and custom hot rod services, which is a unique feature. While some customers have reported positive experiences with their work quality and pricing, a detailed negative review highlights serious concerns about communication, timeline management, and customer service regarding a standard repair. Local users should be aware of these mixed experiences and may want to proceed with caution, ensuring clear communication and expectations are established upfront if they choose to use this auto repair station. Further research and potentially seeking additional reviews might be beneficial before making a decision.

Crosstown Customs- Collision & Rod Customer Reviews

Took the car in for a door ding. Was speedy with an estimate but told me to bring it in a little over a week later with a 3 day wait period(Monday-Wednesday) to fix it. Called on third day and they hadn’t even started the car and said they’d need it till Friday. Called Friday and they had just begun fixing the car and said they needed it till Monday no later than noon. Called Monday around 2pm and they said it would be ready Tuesday in the morning. Needless to say I was completely frustrated at this point. Picked the car up and they said it took a long time as they needed to blend the paint. That’s completely find but they never told me this over this phone, how am I supposed to know what they need to do and how long it’s supposed to take? Owner was short with me every single time we talked. Notice a couple hours after I left the repair center, on the whole drivers side to include door, windshield, fenders etc had a dry sandpaper feeling. I was thinking maybe clear coat overspray, took it in today and owner claims he cannot feel it. Done at this point I left and went to another collision place down the road and the GM could HEAR the way the paint felt when I rubbed my hand over it confirming that yes it was indeed overspray from the clear coat. He said it’s common EVEN if the car is completely wrapped. At this point I’m done, I’m taking the car to get detailed next week. DO NOT GO HERE.

Have used these guys twice, both great experiences. One involved an insurance claim, one I paid out of pocket, but both times they’re easy to work with, do quality work, and pricing is reasonable. I felt guilty initially bringing my Camry in to get worked on when they have such awesome cars getting worked on at the same time, but they do great work all the same. Highly recommend!

We had our vehicle towed there because they stated that they could provide a repair estimate in two days. We received our estimate 19 days later, and it was $2000 more than the insurance company would pay. Since they would not do the work for the price the insurance company would pay, we had the car towed. Crosstown charged $1600 to allow the car to be towed. I am not at all happy with the owner's behavior.
