Community Auto Recycling Introduce

Welcome to Community Auto Recycling, located at 2540 Manchester Rd, Erie, PA 16506, USA. Operating within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations (as a provider of goods), Community Auto Recycling serves the local Erie community by offering a diverse inventory of used auto parts. Understanding the needs of car owners and repair shops, they aim to provide cost-effective solutions for vehicle maintenance and repair.

As an auto parts store specializing in recycled components, Community Auto Recycling offers an alternative to purchasing brand new parts, which can often be significantly more expensive. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals looking to repair older vehicles or those seeking budget-friendly options. The nature of their business suggests a large yard or facility where vehicles are dismantled, and their usable parts are cataloged and made available for sale.

One positive customer review highlights a helpful and efficient experience. This customer was able to find a bumper cover that was a near-exact match for their vehicle and also acquired a taillight. They specifically mentioned being driven through the lot to locate the desired bumper cover, indicating a level of assistance and willingness to help customers find what they need within their inventory. The reviewer also praised the speed at which the part was removed and the fact that the taillight was readily available. Furthermore, the customer expressed satisfaction with the knowledge and professionalism displayed by the staff.

However, it is important to present a balanced perspective based on all available information. Another customer shared a significantly negative experience, citing multiple instances of inaccurate inventory information provided over the phone. This reviewer claimed to have called on three separate occasions, being told that a specific part was in stock, only to be informed later (either via a follow-up call or upon arrival at the store) that the part was not available. The customer described situations where they were told multiple units of a part were in stock, only to be told minutes later that they had all been sold. They also recounted an instance where they were asked to return after an hour for a part to be pulled, only to be told later that it was no longer available.

This negative feedback raises concerns about the accuracy of Community Auto Recycling's inventory management and communication practices. The customer expressed frustration over wasted time and travel due to these discrepancies. Additionally, they alleged inconsistencies in pricing, claiming that a price quoted over the phone was different (higher) upon arrival at the store. This type of experience can lead to a perception of a "shady business" and erode customer trust.

The strongly worded negative review also questions the core business practices of Community Auto Recycling, suggesting a potential disconnect between their stated purpose of selling parts and their actual operational efficiency in doing so. The reviewer went so far as to suggest contacting the Better Business Bureau, indicating a significant level of dissatisfaction.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive picture of the environment and services at Community Auto Recycling. The positive review suggests a potentially helpful staff and a reasonably organized yard where parts can be located. The negative review, however, paints a picture of disorganization, unreliable inventory information, and potentially inconsistent pricing practices.

Based on the available information, the features of Community Auto Recycling would likely include a large inventory of used auto parts sourced from recycled vehicles. The potential advantage for customers is the possibility of finding parts at a lower cost than new components. The ability to physically browse the yard, as mentioned in the positive review, could be another feature, allowing customers to inspect parts before purchase.

However, the negative review highlights a significant potential drawback: the unreliability of inventory information provided remotely. This could necessitate a physical visit to the location to ascertain the availability of a specific part, which might be inconvenient for customers located further away. The alleged price discrepancies also present a potential risk for customers who rely on phone quotes.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Community Auto Recycling in the provided data. Auto recycling businesses may occasionally offer discounts on certain parts or run promotions on specific makes or models of vehicles being dismantled. Local users would need to contact Community Auto Recycling directly to inquire about any ongoing promotions or special offers.

In conclusion, Community Auto Recycling in Erie, PA, offers a range of used auto parts, potentially providing a cost-effective solution for vehicle repairs. While one customer reported a positive experience with helpful staff and efficient service, another customer detailed significant issues with inaccurate inventory information and inconsistent pricing. Local users considering Community Auto Recycling for their auto part needs should be aware of these contrasting experiences. It may be prudent to verify the availability and price of parts in person, if possible, to avoid potential inconvenience or discrepancies. Further research or seeking more recent reviews might also provide a more current and comprehensive understanding of their service quality and business practices.

To contact Community Auto Recycling, you can call them at (814) 833-8518 or +1 814-833-8518. Their physical address is 2540 Manchester Rd, Erie, PA 16506, USA. Community Auto Recycling Customer Reviews

Picked up a bumper cover and taillight. They drove us through their lot, and we were able to locate a bumper cover that was almost an exact match. They were quick removing it from the vehicle it was on, and they already had the taillight on a shelf. I was very pleased with their knowledge and professionalism.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Three (different) times I have called this place to get a part, and they say yes they have it . I’ve been on my way to get said part right after getting off the phone with them, twice and then they call me and tell me they don’t have it all of a sudden.or Drive all the way there and they don’t have it.. a part that they said they had multiple of and apparently, all of them sold in five minutes!?! They have told me to come back in an hour they gotta pull it and then they call you and say oh we don’t have it anymore… What kind of business doesn’t know what they have and what they don’t have . Get it together ! They quote you a price over the phone and when you get there, they tell you it’s more. Very shady business. If you’re not selling parts, what are you selling exactly!?! Maybe that’s a question for the Better Business Bureau?!!!!

Dude answering phone knows nothing. Subaru legacy’s are pretty universal when it comes to parts between 05-09. They have a door handle listed and mufflers for other years and says they won’t work. But says a rear view mirror will. Please fire that idiot. If you don’t know cars then don’t work there.
