Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision Introduce
Introducing Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision, located at 1564 E Pike St, Clarksburg, WV 26301, USA. Operating within the Auto Repair Stations category, this facility specializes in auto body and collision repair services. You can reach them at their toll-free number (800) 344-1108 or their mobile number +1 800-344-1108 for inquiries regarding their services.
As a collision center associated with a Ford dealership, Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision likely focuses on providing body repair services for Ford vehicles, although they may also work on other makes and models. Their services appear to be centered around restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition following collisions or other incidents causing body damage.
Information regarding the specific environment of Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision is not detailed in the provided reviews. However, collision centers typically feature a well-equipped body shop with specialized tools and equipment for tasks such as frame straightening, dent removal, panel replacement, and painting. They would likely have paint booths to ensure a factory-quality finish and the necessary tools for aligning body panels and ensuring structural integrity after repairs. Being associated with a Ford dealership might also imply access to Ford-specific parts and repair procedures.
Based on the customer reviews, the primary services offered by Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision include:
- Collision Repair: Addressing damage caused by accidents, aiming to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Body Work: Repairing dents, scratches, and other forms of damage to the vehicle's body panels.
- Bumper Repair and Replacement: Fixing or replacing damaged front and rear bumpers.
- Fender Repair and Replacement: Addressing damage to the vehicle's fenders.
- Painting: Providing paint services to match the original color and finish after body repairs. One positive review specifically mentions the "very solid work performed."
- Panel Alignment: Ensuring that body panels are correctly aligned after repairs. One review noted the panel alignment as "pretty fair to good."
The features of Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision, as perceived through customer reviews, present a mixed perspective. On the positive side, one customer reported "very solid work performed" on two separate occasions involving deer strikes, with repairs done in less time than estimated. This suggests a capability for high-quality bodywork and efficient service in some instances. The customer explicitly recommended the body shop based on these experiences.
However, another, more detailed review paints a significantly different picture, particularly regarding the overall service experience and the handling of mechanical aspects or coordination with other service providers. This customer experienced a prolonged repair period of a full year with minimal progress initially. While they acknowledged that the "body work's pretty good," they also noted minor imperfections such as chipped paint and a slightly misaligned signal marker. Their background as a tool and die technician for aircraft led them to have a critical eye for precision, noting a 1 cm misalignment which they considered outside of their professional tolerance, though they were willing to give "after factory car guys" some leeway.
A major point of concern in the second review was the apparent lack of coordination and capability beyond bodywork. The vehicle was reportedly sent to "Dan Canvas" for wire harness work, a facility that, according to the reviewer, lacked the equipment to service their car's tires or perform an oil change. This raises questions about the process for handling repairs that extend beyond bodywork and the communication between different service providers.
Furthermore, the customer reported having to return the car after the initial repair due to non-functioning sensors. While the camera was eventually fixed, other sensors (cross-traffic and backup sensors) remained non-functional, and new driver assistance errors and additional diagnostic codes appeared after the repair. This suggests potential issues with the integration of electronic systems after the bodywork or a lack of comprehensive diagnostic and repair capabilities beyond the physical body of the vehicle.
Given the stark contrast in these two reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the overall service quality at Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision. While they seem capable of performing solid bodywork in some cases, as highlighted by the first reviewer, the experience of the second customer raises significant concerns about the duration of repairs, coordination with other services, and the potential for unresolved or newly introduced issues with the vehicle's systems.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided data. Collision centers may sometimes offer promotions such as:
- Free estimates: Providing a no-obligation quote for the cost of repairs.
- Discounts on specific types of bodywork: For example, discounts on bumper repair or painting for a limited time.
- Partnerships with insurance companies: Streamlined claims processes or direct billing.
- Rental car assistance: Offering or facilitating access to rental vehicles while the customer's car is being repaired.
To inquire about any current promotions or specific service offerings, it is recommended to contact Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision directly at (800) 344-1108. Potential customers may want to ask detailed questions about the repair process, especially if the damage involves more than just bodywork, and inquire about their procedures for handling electronic systems and coordination with other service providers if necessary.
In conclusion, Chenoweth Ford Inc Collision in Clarksburg, WV, specializes in auto body and collision repair. While one customer experienced high-quality work completed efficiently, another reported significant issues with the repair process, communication, and the functionality of vehicle systems post-repair. Potential customers should carefully consider these differing experiences and ask thorough questions about the services offered and the repair process specific to their vehicle's needs before proceeding. Contacting them directly at (800) 344-1108 for detailed information is advisable.

Several years ago they fixed my wife's Rogue from a deer strike. New hood & front bumper. Last week they did my Frontier bumper/fender from a deer strike. In both instances I feel they over delivered. Very solid work performed and they did it in less time than they estimated. I would absolutely recommend this body shop!

I do really appreciate it after I told them they had 6 weeks to get it done before I moved they actually got it to me. I cannot however in good conscience recommend getting anything other than the body work done at that shop... I forgot to mention they had my car for a full year with no reportable movement toward getting it back to me prior to me telling them they had 6 weeks or bust. Break out of what all work after a full year of waiting on it looks like. The body works pretty good there's still some spots that are chipped on the hood whatever I can fix those. Panel alignment seems to be pretty fair to good. There's a front signal marker on the passenger side that's off by about 1 cm from its correct location in the panel. I used too work as a tool and die tech for aircraft. .003 dec is well out of working tolerance for me, but hey these are after factory car guys so I'll give em the .1 dec. And that's where all the good times end. They sent the car to Dan Canvas for reasons I don't understand because Dan Canva doesn't have a machine they can put my car on to service it, or my tires, nor could they change my oil when I needed service per their own words: "we don't have the equipment to service your car." So when I found out they sent it up there to have the wire harness work done I was intensely confused. However I didn't care I wanted my car back and I figured after a year you'd think that they would have managed to aquire that equipment and a trained tech and i was running out of time to do much else than hope as I was about to move as I said So...I get the car back. After having had to return the car once already... had to take it back because no sensors functioned at all the first time. I got it back with a working camera but my other sensors still don't work correctly. I have an additional four codes that weren't throwing before, that are now present. One of those is wait for it: cross traffic sensors and back up sensors. Yay went from no sensors and a broken camera to no rear sensors and a working camera. Driver assistance errors are new also. Like I said I'm glad I got my car back but it will never go back to either one of these shops again. I will be searching to find someone that can work on it without causing more problems to get it fixed but that's going to have to wait till after the move. To say I am livid as a result of this would be an understatement Being there are so many hands in this cookie jar I don't rightly know who is to fully blame for this. I can only offer my experience to aid you with your possible future nightmare. So use caution when getting work done with either of those shops.

If I could put no stars I would. My car needed some body work after being hit. It took two months to get on the schedule once I was the other insurance company sent someone out to do an estimate, once the boss realized it was no where near the estimate he was expecting they made it very clear it wasn't worth their time. . They didn't want to order parts or do the body work an told me if I wanted everything fixed which they advised against they couldn't get me on the schedule for another few months knowing I could not keep my rental that long. They threw a new tail light on it and put new brackets on the bumper cover to keep it secured an charged me almost 400$ for that. THE WORST PART IS THEY PUT A HOLE IN MY BRAKE LINE, I HAD NO BRAKES PULLING OUT OF THERE AN THE BREAK FLUID WAS EMPTY which was displayed on the dashboard. The tire they had to pull off was soaked in brake fluid along with the brake. They did not let me know they did further damage to my car, they acted like they knew nothing about it.. when they pulled it out of the garage to park it they had to notice they had no brakes!! THEY ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE IT OUT OF THERE KNOWING MY CHILDREN WOULD BE IN IT! ONCE I MADE THEM AWARE OF WHAT THEY HAD DONE. I WAS TOLD IM GLAD TO KNOW IT WAS JUST A BRAKE LINE! THEY DID NOT OFFER TO FIX IT OR APOLOGIZE OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THEH HAD DONE IT!! Stay away from here. My vehicle was safe to drive out of there but they allowed me to do so anyway. Accidents happen I completely understand that, all they had to do was fix what they had broke instead the put my life and even worse my 3 children's life in extreme danger with no warning or mention of having no breaks.
