Centennial Subaru Service Department Introduce
The Centennial Subaru Service Department, located at 6350 Centennial Center Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89149, USA, operates as an authorized "Auto Repair Station" for Subaru vehicles in the Las Vegas area. They can be reached via phone at (725) 780-7212 or mobile at +1 725-780-7212. As a dealership service department, they are typically equipped to handle a comprehensive range of maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services specifically for Subaru models, utilizing factory-trained technicians and genuine Subaru parts.
The services offered by the Centennial Subaru Service Department generally include:
- Routine Maintenance: This encompasses oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and top-offs, filter replacements (air, cabin, fuel), and scheduled mileage services (e.g., 30k, 60k, 90k maintenance).
- Diagnostic Services: Utilizing specialized Subaru diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues related to engine performance, check engine lights (CELs), electrical systems, and other complex vehicle problems.
- Brake Services: Inspection, repair, and replacement of brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake fluid flushes.
- Tire Services: Sale of new tires, mounting, balancing, and tire repair.
- System Repairs: Addressing issues with the catalytic converter, transmission, suspension, HVAC systems, and other major vehicle components.
- Warranty Repairs: As an authorized Subaru dealership, they handle repairs covered under manufacturer warranties.
- Multi-Point Inspections: Complimentary checks of various vehicle components to assess overall condition and recommend necessary services.
Regarding the environment, dealership service departments like Centennial Subaru's typically feature a structured and professional setting. This often includes a comfortable customer waiting area, dedicated service bays equipped with specialized tools for Subaru vehicles, and parts departments stocked with genuine OEM components. The overall environment is designed to reflect the brand's standards and provide a comprehensive service experience. Some reviews mention a "clean environment," suggesting a well-maintained facility.
The features of Centennial Subaru Service Department, as indicated by customer feedback, present a nuanced picture. On the positive side, some customers describe the service department as "helpful, quick, and reliable" for "the most part." This suggests that for many routine services, the department performs efficiently. However, the reviews also highlight significant concerns and areas for potential improvement, particularly regarding the recommendations made by the service department and the perceived transparency and honesty of their operations.
A recurring theme in the negative feedback revolves around the accuracy and necessity of service recommendations and the resulting proposed costs. One detailed account describes a customer being "floored" by a nearly $12,000 proposed work estimate for issues like a jerky engine and a P0420 catalytic converter code, which were later resolved with a simple, inexpensive MAF sensor cleaning by the customer themselves. This particular experience raises questions about the diagnostic thoroughness and the potential for upselling or recommending extensive, perhaps unnecessary, repairs. Another serious concern highlighted is the alleged discovery of missing lug nuts across two wheels after service, which the dealership reportedly denied responsibility for, offering to sell new ones instead of replacing them for free. This incident, if true, represents a significant safety oversight and a breach of trust.
Furthermore, issues with communication and accountability have been reported. A customer who had brake fluid flushed in April was told in October that it was "dirty/contaminated" and needed flushing again, with the advisor allegedly attributing the recommendation to mileage rather than a true inspection. The lack of follow-up from management when these discrepancies were questioned is also a significant point of disappointment, leading to a perception that the dealership "does not care." The suggestion of a possible correlation between the proposed $12,000 repair estimate and a coincidentally offered $12,000 trade-in value for the vehicle from the sales department, while not explicitly a "conspiracy," certainly adds to a customer's skepticism regarding the motives behind expensive repair recommendations.
In terms of promotional information, like most dealership service departments, Centennial Subaru likely emphasizes its factory-trained technicians, use of genuine Subaru parts, and state-of-the-art facilities. They would typically highlight their expertise in handling Subaru vehicles and their commitment to maintaining vehicle performance and longevity. However, the given customer reviews serve as a counterpoint to such general promotional claims. For potential customers, the positive aspects of quick service and reliability, when present, might be attractive. Yet, the serious concerns about over-recommendation, lack of accountability for potential errors (like missing lug nuts), and questionable diagnostic practices, as articulated in the provided feedback, necessitate a cautious approach. The advice from a long-time customer to "be mindful of what they recommend, and if possible get a second opinion from a trustworthy source" acts as critical guidance for anyone considering service at Centennial Subaru. This suggests that while it is an authorized service center, customers should remain vigilant and well-informed about their vehicle's needs to ensure fair and accurate service.

For the most part, the service department at Centennial Subaru is helpful, quick, and reliable. However, I advise anyone taking their Subaru here to be mindful of what they recommend, and if possible get a second opinion from a trustworthy source. I took my WRX in about a month ago for an issue where the engine was being very jerky in the 2.5k range under load. It was also showing a CEL with a P0420 code, for the catalytic converter. After having the car for nearly the whole day, they sent the service recommendation to me via text... I was floored when it involved nearly $12,000 worth of proposed work! I took my car back and said no thank you. Part of the service recommendation was to look at an alleged oil leak, so to get a better view I set about putting the car up on jacks. That's when I noticed that I was missing 3 lug nuts across 2 wheels... One of my wheels was being held on by only 3 of the 5 necessary lug nuts! When I brought the car back upon discovering the missing lug nuts, I was told I would have to wait until the following Monday for the manager to call me since replacing the lug nuts would require their approval. Lug nuts are $4 a piece; they offered to sell me the lug nuts, but denied ever even removing the wheels at any point during the last service, implying that they are not responsible for them. This service center is the ONLY service center I've used since they opened. Before that it was the other Subaru dealership in the valley. No third party company has ever touched my car. I've obviously paid well over standard pricing for parts and labor, but I thought the trade-off would be VIP treatment in a pinch. Unfortunately that is not the case. I left again, somewhat upset this time, and eventually went to the other Subaru dealership where they were happy to provide me with the necessary lug nuts to ensure my wheels did not fall off. Back to the original issue, I began working through potential problems, starting with the simplest and least expensive fix: the MAF sensor. I removed the sensor, cleaned it thoroughly with a $10 bottle of electronics spray, reinstalled it, and the affect was immediate. The car no longer lurches at 2.5k, and the P0420 CEL went away and hasn't been seen since. As for the oil leak, aside from some spilled oil on the side of the engine that likely came from the last time it was changed, that seems to be a non issue; oil levels have remained the same for the last month. I am still considering using their service department again in the future, but it will only be after getting any problem I am having diagnosed by other professionals first, to ensure that I am only recommended necessary services. Epilogue: Not too long after all this, I received a text from the sales department asking if I would be willing to trade my car in. I asked what it would be worth to them, and coincidentally they said they would pay me $12,000. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but that seems just a little to on-the-nose. I don't presume to imply that the service department and sales department were working together to get me to purchase a new vehicle. I'm just giving the reader the facts of this scenario and letting them decide for themselves.

Man I have trusted subaru, all these years, even bought a car there recently, but since 10/4/2024 visit they "performed world class multi point inspection" and tech stated my brake fluid was dirty/contaminated. I just let them flush my brake system 4/8/2024. So I told the advisor why does it need flushing again, and the advisor was saying that the tech was just basing it on my milage, so in the picture he crossed it out. Was the world class inspection performed? Did they really flush my brakes on april? So now i dont know if they really did the inspection or if they did not do the job on april. I called the manager, still did not get back to me. That tells me one thing, subaru centenial does not care. It is very disappointing.

My first visit to Centennial Subaru Service far exceeded my expectations. Service check-in was a breeze: I was greeted by the kindest valet team when I pulled into the service drive, escorted to a gorgeous waiting area adjacent to the sales floor, where a generous bar of snacks and beverages were available at no cost; all around were plenty of well-spaced, comfortable seats, outlets, and tables to accommodate productivity or leisure. My service advisor was thorough and transparent about absolutely everything, and I genuinely felt she held my best interests at heart, considering I was there for a more costly interval service. I felt pricing was upfront from the moment I booked my service online to the moment I signed the exit paperwork, so I paid exactly what I was quoted at check-in. Thank you for a truly great experience, and I will be returning for my next recommended services soon!

I have a 2023 Forester Premium and had a problem with my backup camera. The red crash bar and alarm would intermittently display on the right side of the display when I was in reverse. I brought it in to Centennial Subaru Service and after showing them a picture of the alarm on my phone they ran a diagnostic and replaced the rear camera - but that didn't solve the problem so they ran another diagnostic and replaced the right rear sensor - problem solved. Even though it took a few trips to the Service Department. they did what their diagnostic test results told them to do and solved my problem. John Kenoly was my Service Advisor and did a great job at check-in, keeping me informed as work was being performed, and when work was completed did a speedy check-out. He took pictures of the backup camera problem and showed them to the Service Manager which helped resolve my problem. A really knowledgeable and courteous guy.

Awful experience. We had John kenoly as a “service coordinator.” I’m a Subaru owner from Pennsylvania on a road trip and stopped here for an oil change and to check everything over before driving back home 2,000 miles. He must’ve sensed my concern and took complete advantage of that and the fact that I’m not a local because he came back saying that my tires are on their last leg and need replaced right now. Also had 2 studs/lug nuts seized and needing replaced. My brother works on cars so I know this isn’t a huge fix. They wanted to charge me $109 PER LUG NUT AND STUD, didn’t give an option for tires and were going to charge almost $900 for new tires, plus an extra $200 charge for rust???? (but it’s not like they were going to remove the rust???). Rest assured, we said absolutely not and went to the next Subaru in Arizona where they replaced the studs and lug nuts for a whopping $83, and got new tires elsewhere for $500 total. Do yourself a favor and never go here.
