CARS Introduce
CARS, located at 430 Wentz St, Tiffin, OH 44883, USA, operates as an auto repair station serving the local community. They can be reached at (419) 447-2277 or via mobile at +1 419-447-2277. As an establishment within the Auto Repair Stations category, CARS generally provides a range of services aimed at diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles. The expectation for such a facility would be a garage environment equipped with various tools and bays to handle different automotive tasks. While specific details about the waiting area or customer amenities are not explicitly available, the core function is centered around vehicle service.
The services offered by CARS, as implied by its category and the nature of an auto repair station, typically include general automotive maintenance and repair. This would encompass, but not be limited to, services such as oil changes, exhaust system work, power steering repairs, radiator hose replacements, coolant flushes, and addressing various sensor issues. The facility's presence as an "Auto Repair Station" suggests a capability to handle a broad spectrum of mechanical and electrical problems that a vehicle might encounter. The goal is to provide solutions to keep vehicles operational and safe for the road.
However, an objective introduction to CARS must also incorporate the available customer feedback, which offers a direct insight into the customer experience and the perception of the business's features. The provided reviews for CARS present a concerning narrative regarding service quality and transparency. One customer reported paying a significant amount, specifically "4 GRAND," only to find their car "missing bolts" and "half the work listed on the paperwork was not done." This suggests issues with the completeness and quality of the repairs performed. Another review explicitly states, "I strongly believe this is the worst shop to go to and deal with. What an absolute nightmare." This indicates a highly unsatisfactory customer experience.
A recurring theme in the negative feedback revolves around transparency and honesty. One customer detailed an experience where they were charged for a "new exhaust from the engine back" for $500, but upon inspection, only a muffler was replaced. When questioned, the owner allegedly claimed the customer "misunderstood what he meant on the bid" and refused a refund. This points to a significant discrepancy between services promised and services delivered, and a lack of willingness to rectify perceived errors. Furthermore, this customer also discovered issues post-service, such as the car being "3 quarts low and completely black" on oil after an oil change, an empty coolant reservoir after a coolant system flush, and unrepaired fuel line leaks, despite having paid for a "fuel line flush and check." These observations, made only "62 miles" after the service, raise serious concerns about the thoroughness and integrity of the work performed.
The reviews collectively suggest that some of the key features that customers expect from an auto repair station – such as accurate diagnostics, honest service, and complete repairs – may not have been consistently met at CARS, based on the provided experiences. The sentiment "how big of crooks these guys are known to be" implies a broader reputation issue within the local community, which, if accurate, would significantly impact public trust and future business.
Regarding promotional information, no specific promotional offers or discounts are available in the provided text. In the absence of positive promotional material, potential customers would primarily rely on past experiences and reputation. Given the highly critical nature of the available customer reviews, any implicit promotion would likely be overshadowed by these negative accounts. The strong negative sentiment, including phrases like "absolute clowns" and "what a rip," suggests that word-of-mouth promotion stemming from these experiences would likely be detrimental rather than beneficial.
For local users in Tiffin, OH, seeking auto repair services, it is crucial to consider all available information, including both the stated services of an "Auto Repair Station" and the detailed experiences of former customers. The provided reviews highlight potential issues with service quality, adherence to quoted work, and transparency in billing and repairs. Potential customers are advised to exercise caution and thoroughly verify the scope of work and completed services if considering CARS for their automotive needs. While the facility is situated at a specific address and has active phone lines, the customer feedback presents a stark contrast to the expectations of a reliable and trustworthy auto repair service.

I strongly believe this is the worst shop to go to and deal with. What an absolute nightmare. They had good reviews but the more I asked around after the fact, the more I found out how big of crooks these guys are known to be, unfortunately I found out after they got me. Firstly, I was looking for a shop in tiffin because that's where my wife works and I could get a ride back and forth when without a vehicle. I know a guy who works at CARS (great dude), so I figured I wouldn't get taken advantage of. I was wrong. I was only able to talk to the owner over the phone, since I couldn't be there during office hours, with my work schedule. We would leave keys in the truck, pay with card over the phone. He told me I needed new fuel lines and fuel pump, power steering and radiator hoses with flush, oil change, and an exhaust. Some sensors needed done too but those aren't super pertinent to the story. The bill was over 2k, $500 was the exhaust (which stated on bill 'new exhaust from the engine back'). I agreed to his price and he did the work. I paid over the phone with a card, this transaction went fine. When I went to pick it up, it was dark out, but I trusted them enough to drive it home, it had no lights on and drove great. I took it home and let it sit for a couple weeks, as I had gotten very busy at work. When I finally got to look at it, I realized he only replaced a muffler on my exhaust. I called and asked, he said he'd have to look at it to confirm, and that I don't know what I'm looking at. Ok. So again, I had to drive it to tiffin after hours, get a ride back. Just inconvenient. I didn't hear from him the next day, so I called him. He told me they replaced from the muffler back (they didn't, exhaust tip was same and rusty), and that I misunderstood what he meant on the bid, and refused to talk about any refund. I chalked it up as a loss. The next month I fell on hard times and decided to sell the truck. I included the CARS receipt with the sale to prove the work. The first guy showed up, and checked the oil (yes its on me that I never did, but again, I was trusting). It was 3 quarts low and completely black. The coolant reservoir was also empty, and I paid for a coolant system flush, they just didn't refill it all the way. Oil filter looked almost original. I paid for a fuel line flush and check, there were two parts of the intake line with leaks, obviously not replaced. I had only put 62 miles on the truck since the service date. I got a good enough cash offer on the truck and just sold it, since this headache has been almost too much for me, and didn't want to wait around for this shop to put me through the loop again, or fight me over what I understand. But I am leaving my review and experience as a warning for others. Turns out I paid $2100 for a new muffler, 2 oxygen sensors, and a coolant hose. What a rip!

Horn stopped working. I checked fuses and they were good. I called CARS and they ordered my part, got me in within the same week and had fair prices. Friendly and professional staff.
