Carlsbad Tire Pros

Manager Brent runs a terrible ship here. I bought a couple as early as 6 months ago and the before 2023 and 10/2024. The one tire was shredding around the entire edge of the tire. One of the workers said the reason it was like that was due to the car needing brake struts which would cost $1300. I just had a maintenance inspection on my Lexus and the brakes checked out fine everything was ok on the inspection. I went back to Lexus and told them if they could please lmk if I truly needed brake struts. They kept my car for several days to inspect and the verdict was I did not need brake struts. Wow. Not only did they not honor the warranty on the tires I purchased they tried to scam me on purchasing brake struts and said I needed to buy TWO tires and NOT ONE tire only. Lexus installed ONE tire only and matched Costco pricing. Please do not give this business your business. They are not honest and a very bitter ever since they had to change their name due to legality issues. They lost majority of their customers and are hanging on by the threads. They are overcharging and creating car problems that do NOT exist. Discount tire is spot on I will go back to supporting them.

We had an emergency flat and needed to make our flight to the Tijuana airport.... This tire shop not only changed our tire for a low price but did it record time! Less than 20min experience with a smile. They have the best customer service. Thank you so much guys! You guys rock! Recommend this place to anyone!

What a great store. The wife and I have bought many tires from them and they have an amazing full service auto repair shop as well. Amazing work and good prices. Best staff ever! Go here for all your auto needs. They do everything! I only go here for now on.

Stopped in for a quick assessment of tire damage from road debris and the staff was quick to make a diagnosis and offer solutions for repair. The staff was especially courteous. I absolutely recommend this business for your tire needs.

Had been going here since 1998 to support Village businesses, when it was Big O tires. Similar to the LT customer Michael Scheftner review, never had any major issues until now. State St. has gentrified quickly with Michelin star restaurants & I am guessing auto /tire shop (and the car wash!) days are numbered. Ownership has changed and guessing the bait and switch has taken over to survive. When it was Big O tires, I never paid over $600 for 4 tires on any of our cars. One of the tires popped on my wife's Lexus, and they told her she needed to replace all of them and pay almost $2,000 for 4 run flat tires. They also told her she needed suspension work due to the tire wear, so she went to Costco for a second opinion, and they offered a single Run Flat for $300. Finally, the Lexus dealership kept the car for 2 days and replaced the tire for $300 and fortunately found nothing else was wrong with the car - the reason we splurged on our only fancier car - a Lexus! I finally went in myself to understand what the heck was going on after 25 years as a loyal local customer... The first thing they said, was, "So what if you have been a customer since 1998, you expect a discount?" Next, they blamed my wife for not knowing what she was doing with her tires. I asked for the owner, who was eating at the end of the counter, and he quickly told me, "Get out of my store, we do not want your business." When I asked why they charged my wife $2,000 for 4 tires, he got upset, stood up and walked up to me and forced me to leave his store. I felt physically threatened (with 2 very gruff older men inside and 1 younger mechanic outside) so I got in my wife's car and got the heck out of there. Gave it 2 stars due to the Village location and empathy as a lifelong small biz owner - last of the Mohicans on Michelin star gentrified State St.

A fabulous experience! My tire had a screw in it and so tire pressure very low leaving my place in Oceanside. I was going to Carlsbad Village so called and asked if they could help me. They said no problem just bring it by and 45 minutes later I was all fixed. Thank you so much to this great business !

Awesome guys. Needed a tire patched so I called them on the phone. They were transparent, quick, and easy to work with. Friendly staff. Convenient location / walked around the village while I waited. Hopefully my car doesn't need any more fixing soon but this is where I'll be coming if it does.
