Campfire Rv Repair Customer Reviews

Rear A/C quit working in late May. Mike seemed competent and ordered the unit. Installed on 6/3 and has us pull in bedroom slider in order to get unit on roof. When finished slider would not function. He worked for a while under the bed trying to remove motor with no success. We even called Newmar for their input. He said he would research the motor removal and get back with me. 6 days later after he would not return my calls I took it to Camping World in Marion. They got the motor ordered and repaired it a few days later. It was very complicated including removing one of the rear wheels, folding up part of the wheel well and coming in from under the slider to get access to the motor. I believe he realized he was in over his head on this repair and ghosted me. Why he couldn't just call me back and tell me that is beyond me. He also never gave me a receipt for the a/c work or returned to put on the correct cover. Again, promised me all that on the phone numerous times as I kept calling him all summer, but never showed up. Would never use him again. Camping World was first class with knowledge technicians.

Our heat went out in our Jayco in March. As with the others, we had to pay an enormous fee for several trips. Our trailer is parked permanently. While Mike was initially helpful, our heat is still not working. His last comment was he'd have to think about it! Some components were still covered under warranty. After several attempts he still has not provided an itemized invoice to turn in for reimbursement.

Brought my Newmar Dutch Star motorhome in for some warranty repairs. Met with Mike, the owner. He inspected my vehicle, was very informative and professional. He assured me that they should be able to have a quote right away and maybe start in a couple days on the repairs. Mike seemed very knowledgeable and gave all the right answers. I will give a follow up review as the work progresses.

We had our converter go down on us at a Marion campground. We have never needed to call upon a mobile RV service before. Mike responded to us in a professional and very timely manner. He said he would be to us by noon and was right on time.!! He got our converter changed out in no time, had us up and running again. As a bonus he even fixed our loose kitchen faucet. I highly recommend Mike and his company for your RV’s Thanks again !!!

Great to work with. They really helped us out when our rv broke down 7 hours from home. Highly recommend!

Got an RV repair. Paid 7,400.00$ to Mike to change both air conditioning which already broke down and charged us double the price it was worth. I was charged to change the grey water tank which he never did and charged labor for it as well. Changed the awnings that ripped off after 2 months because he bent the pole while installing it. Also created a leak in the window due the the product he used to seal the RV that was not appropriate for RVs. I would not recommend this company who takes advantage of people and do not complete his work and wants money up front. We called several times to get him back to finish his work and doesn’t return our calls. We filed a complaint with small claim in court to recover some money to get it fixed somewhere else. Not sure how he got 5 stars from others. Not reliable at all.
