Caliber Collision

Ole lady backed into me (thankfully she didn’t run) and I was able to have her insurance cover my repairs. I got a quote from Derek at this location. He is an avid Patriots fan so beware. Hahaha just kidding. He was very thorough and inspected my vehicle. I was able to drop my vehicle off the next week. And repairs were completed accordingly. Quicker than expected too. I did see some scratch marks on the plastic door piece where they may have used some tool to wedge the chrome piece off. Also other chrome piece was not secured properly when they reinstalled it. See photos. Overall the paint job did look good. And Derek touched up 2 other tiny spots for me which was nice.

The repair was fine, but a day later than promised. Communication through the process was fine. When I picked the car up, I noticed that it had been washed (poorly at that, there was still dirt on the doors). I was never told the car would be washed. Had I been given the opportunity of this knowledge, I would have declined it. The sun was blaring on the paint and I could clearly see spider webs and swirls all in the paint. The hood had protective paint film and it was scratched as well. The car was bought new and never taken through a car wash and has only ever been hand washed by my husband, who is a detailer. Those scratches were not there when the car was dropped off. The insurance adjuster has pictures for proof. The manager Sharon was brought out and she denied the car had been washed with a dirty sponge or brush and they did not put the scratches there. My husband's Jeep was sitting next to my car and she looked at it and said "yours has swirls too", trying to deflect. The jeep was covered in dirt and did not have swirls. Clearly she didn't know what she was looking at. And it doesn't matter the condition of another vehicle, we were talking about my vehicle. They even tried to buff it out by hand which made an even bigger mess. She took my number and said she would contact my insurance but she did not. We are having to rectify it with insurance ourselves. The lack of knowledge about paint and cleaning a car, the dismissal of my complaints, the deflection, the denial of wrongdoing, the absolute absence of customer satisfaction is deafening. Avoid this location at all costs because they clearly don't give a damn. And don't bother emailing communitymanager@calibercollision.com. We did last week and still haven't heard a peep from them.

Take your vehicle to caliber collision in Taylors. Hands down. They’re kind and helpful and they work quickly. They do a great job fixing everything correctly and guarantee their work. They took care of taking the rental back for me and those details so that I didn’t need to worry about it, and they cleaned my vehicle inside and out before I picked it up. Great experience.

Service advisor Derek Johnson was extremely helpful and courteous. He kept us informed and explained the work that needed to be completed. He expedited the work to save us from having to pay extra days for the rental car. I definitely recommend Caliber Collision and appreciate Derek.

We have used Caliber Collision four times overall now and they were great every time! The past two times, Derek has been in charge of our cars and he was wonderful both times! He’s super nice, keeps you updated constantly, and is always very thorough with everything! Couldn’t ask for better service!

I am new to this business of collision but have very much appreciated the info and contact during the fixing as I receive texts constantly so as to ensure good understanding between business and client. Thanks to all the guys but also to Doug for keeping me posted with constant communications. I do hope I do not need your services in the future but if I do, I know where to go. From the rest of the reviews, it looks like I had an exceptional case. I do hope that this was the case, because the service I had received was exceptional terrible. My family's car was transferred to this repair shop, in order to cut down on the repair time from the Greenville Caliber Collision center. That was the stated goal from the Service Advisor in Greenville. After seeing the car myself and having a mechanic look it over, unfortunately it looks like plenty of corners were cut as well. The repairs were not up to any respectable standards: -CV Axel was not installed properly. The car was first returned to us, and just to validate the car was properly repaired I took it for a test spin before giving the keys to my wife to drive her and my children around. It was made abundantly clear within a .25 mile drive from the grinding that the car had not been test driven by techs who worked on it. By the time I turned around and made it back to the service advisor, already the grease had poured out from the axel and splatted around the wheel well. Immediately the car was transferred back to the Taylors Caliber Collision to finish their repair. -Simple alignment issues not caught. The hood was not adjusted after service, and not aligned to the fender/quarter panels. I understand that replacing parts means this is possible, but this was a matter of adjusting the hood stands that are towards the front of the engine bay. A minor thing, but one that is very noticeable and would make most people question if they really cared about the details and ensuring a good service was conducted. -Internal aftermarket braces and parts were selected that are unable to fulfill the original parts intent. Some braces are incapable of bracing what they are intended. -Incorrect and missing fasteners. There are multiple components improperly fastened, some even new components, due to fasteners missing or using fasteners too big. -Poor paint job. Multiple parts, both new aftermarket parts and original parts have exposed metal. This will result in the parts becoming rusted over time and failing. -Electrical components were not secured and fastened in place. -Squeaking. The car now squeaks. There's a squeak seemingly coming from a rear view mirror they had replaced at speeds greater than 30mph, another coming from the impacted area, and a third squeak while braking. Again, I hope that my experience with Taylors Caliber Collision was an exception to their standard. If you ever plan on having loved ones in your vehicle after a collision, I would recommend you NOT use Taylors Caliber Collision, in case you have a similar experience as I had.

Always a pleasure doing business with Caliber in Taylors. They are the first place I call if I need body work or repair since moving to this area 10 years ago. Not only do they work quickly and return my vehicle in pristine condition, but they provide excellent customer care.

I work in insurance industry and this is how I found out about Taylor’s Caliber. I have never experienced better shop to work with. Derek Johnson has went above and beyond to take care one of our clients. It was a tough situation but he took care of everything. He understood the issue and fixed the problem. He was amazing to work with, easy to get hold of and I can only wish all my experiences in the industry are as great as this. Thank you so much for everything! I would recommend this shop to anyone looking at great place for repairs. They did what was best for the customer and I am extremely grateful for that. We were not just a number to them, they really cared to help. Best shop ever!
