Once again I brought one of my vehicles into Brown’s because I thought it had a transmission problem and I was notified in an extremely timely and friendly manner that my car didn’t have a transmission issue (it was an engine problem instead) and that there was no charge at all, even though they took the time to check out my car. Brown’s Transmissions reputation for honesty is 100% deserved.

If you want it done right the first time go to Browns Transmission and see Caleb. Recently the 68 RFE transmission in my 2013 Ram 2500 with only 87,000 miles on it had a massive failure. Trailered it down to Browns where Caleb went over the options with me. I decided to have him build me a heavy stage 2 Rev max. He kept me in formed during the process and invited me down to look and see what he was doing. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable in what he does. Job well done thanks so much. Go check them out. Well I sent it in because the transmission cooler line busted and I accidentally ran my truck out of transmission fluid. I changed the transmission cooler and lines and filled it back up with fluid. The truck was going into gear and driving fine but I wanted someone who specialized in transmissions to take a look at it anyway. I sent it there. So they call me a week or 2 later and tell me it needs a new transmission. Even though it was still shifting and driving fine I went ahead and got a new transmission installed which cost me over 5 thousand dollars. After months I got the call that my truck was ready so I went to pick it up and whoever test drove my truck must’ve went and did donuts because I had 4 brand new tires on my truck when I dropped it off and when I picked it up my back tires were bald I mean zero trad and the transmission they just installed was still leaking. I took it back to get the leak fixed and when they test drove it they drove it on empty and burned up my fuel pump. They did replace the fuel pump but not my 500$ tires. They said the guy that test drove it had already been fired but that didn’t help me get new tires. All around bad experience

I was stranded on the side of the road in Pisgah National Forest. I called around looking for help. Caleb from Browns Transmission was willing to come out , find the problem, go back to his shop, get parts and fix my car. Nicest guy you could hope to meet. Definitely recommend these folks. Saved my day of fishing too.

I want to thank Caleb, he was the only one who would work on my transmission, it's a hybrid. Very professional and courteous. I had to pull my car out, and he gave me plenty of advice to pass on to a retired mechanic who's a church member of mine. If I could afford to wait for him to fix it, I would have in a heart beat. Very knowledgeable and professional shop. Charged me 1/3 of price for diagnosing. When 5 other shops charged me for diagnosis but refused to work on my car.
