Bores Cycle Introduce

Bores Cycle, located at 2007 Boos Rd, Huron, OH 44839, USA, is an establishment operating within the broader category of "Auto Repair Stations" by offering specialized goods for sale, specifically auto parts. While the name might suggest a primary focus on cycles, customer reviews and other online information indicate that Bores Cycle provides a range of parts for both motorcycles and boats. Their contact numbers are (419) 239-9469 and +1 419-239-9469. The business generally operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with Saturday and Sunday being closed.

As an auto parts store falling under the "Auto Repair Stations" umbrella due to its provision of essential components for vehicle maintenance and repair, Bores Cycle serves a niche market of powersports enthusiasts and boat owners in the Huron, Ohio area. Unlike a typical auto parts chain store that focuses on cars and trucks, Bores Cycle distinguishes itself by concentrating on parts for two-wheeled vehicles and marine craft. This specialization allows them to cater to the unique needs of these specific communities, often stocking items that might be harder to find at general automotive outlets.

Regarding the environment, while a detailed visual description of the physical store isn't extensively available online, one can infer that it would be structured to organize and display a wide variety of parts. This might include shelving units for smaller components, racks for larger items, and potentially designated areas for engines or other significant assemblies. Given the nature of motorcycle and boat parts, the inventory could range from intricate engine components, electrical systems, and bodywork to accessories and maintenance supplies. A well-organized environment would allow customers to easily navigate and locate the specific parts they require, or for staff to quickly retrieve them.

The primary service offered by Bores Cycle is the sale of parts. This encompasses a broad spectrum of goods for motorcycles and boats, including but not limited to:

  • Motorcycle Parts: This would likely include engine components (pistons, cylinders, carburetors, fuel injection systems), transmission parts, brakes, suspension components, electrical parts (starters, alternators, wiring harnesses), bodywork (fairings, fenders), wheels, tires, exhaust systems, and various accessories and aftermarket upgrades.
  • Boat Parts: Similarly, for boats, they would stock marine engine components (outboard and inboard parts, propellers), electrical systems (starters, alternators, marine batteries, navigation lights), steering systems, fuel tanks, pumps, various fittings, and safety equipment. The reviews specifically mention "more motors than you can imagine," suggesting a strong inventory of engines or engine-related components.
  • Used Parts: Online information hints at the sale of used parts, with descriptions like "Part was removed from a 2001 Glastron SX with a Volvo Penta 5.0 GL engine & SX drive," indicating that they dismantle vehicles/boats and sell individual components. This is a valuable service for customers looking for cost-effective repair solutions or specific, hard-to-find vintage parts.
  • Parts Sourcing: Beyond what is physically in stock, a reliable auto parts store often has the capability to order specific parts for customers if not readily available, leveraging a network of suppliers.

Key features that emerge from customer feedback highlight the business's core strengths. Firstly, Bores Cycle is described as a "family owned business" run by "very nice people," including Mike, his wife, and brother. This emphasizes a personal touch and a community-oriented approach, which can be a significant draw for local customers seeking friendly and reliable service. The idea of "good deal" also suggests competitive pricing or a willingness to work with customers to find affordable solutions. Secondly, the comment "Great place more motors than you can imagine" directly points to a substantial inventory of engines or engine-related components, which is a crucial feature for a parts supplier. The online presence, particularly through platforms like eBay where "Mikes Motorcycle Parts" operates, further showcases their organized approach to selling parts, providing detailed descriptions, clear images, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, aiming for "5 star ratings in every category." This suggests a focus on accurate descriptions and prompt shipping.

From a promotional standpoint, Bores Cycle could leverage these positive attributes to attract more customers. Highlighting their status as a local, family-owned business known for its friendly service would resonate with community members. Emphasizing their extensive inventory of motorcycle and boat parts, especially engines, would attract enthusiasts and repair shops looking for specific components. Promotions could focus on:

  • Specialty Inventory: Advertising the vast selection of motors and hard-to-find parts for various motorcycle and boat makes and models.
  • Customer Service: Promoting the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the personalized service that comes with a family-owned operation.
  • Competitive Pricing/Good Deals: While not explicitly stated as a discount, the mention of "good deal" implies a value proposition that could be highlighted.
  • Online Presence: Encouraging customers to browse their online listings (e.g., eBay store) for convenience and a wider selection of available parts, especially for those who prefer to shop remotely.
  • Used Parts Benefits: Educating customers on the cost-effectiveness and environmental benefits of purchasing used, yet quality, parts for their repairs.

In summary, Bores Cycle stands out as a specialized auto parts store in Huron, OH, focusing on motorcycle and boat components. Its strength lies in its family-owned nature, friendly customer service, and a seemingly extensive inventory, particularly of motors and used parts. While specific details about the physical environment are limited, the online feedback suggests a commitment to customer satisfaction in their parts sales. For local users, Bores Cycle appears to be a valuable resource for niche vehicle and marine parts, offering a personalized experience that distinguishes it from larger, more generalized auto parts retailers.

Bought a used motorcycle motor here. Did NOT have the compression promised, though they did promise a 30 day guarantee they wouldn't answer emails or return calls. Out close to $800. Buyer beware.

Worst place ever to buy parts, high prices for the all parts they sell, and the quality of parts are trash. They lie about everything they say, and returns are the worst. Just a warning I wouldn't trust or buy anything from these place. Consumer sucks. They say the will do anything to help, but actually the least as possible to help. Terrible company.
