Body Parts Store, Inc Introduce

Located at 1863 NE 54th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313, USA, Body Parts Store, Inc functions as an auto parts store primarily serving the automotive refinishing and collision repair industries. While categorized broadly under "Auto Repair Stations," their core business revolves around providing a wide array of products essential for auto body work, rather than offering direct vehicle repair services to the general public. Their focus is on supplying professionals with the necessary materials and equipment to perform repairs and paint jobs on vehicles.

The environment at Body Parts Store, Inc is akin to a specialized wholesale or retail outlet catering to automotive professionals. As an auto parts store, one would expect a warehouse-style setup, efficiently organized to stock a vast inventory of various components and supplies. This typically includes designated areas for different product categories, such as paints, abrasives, tools, and body panels, allowing for easy navigation and quick retrieval of items. While specific details on the aesthetic or customer waiting areas are not provided, the operational nature of such a business suggests a functional and practical layout designed for quick transactions and efficient order fulfillment. Given their specialization, the environment is likely geared towards professional buyers who are focused on sourcing specific products for their repair work. The layout is optimized for product accessibility and possibly for mixing and preparing custom paint orders on-site.

The services and goods for sale at Body Parts Store, Inc are extensive and tailored for the auto body and collision repair sector. They are a supplier of automotive paint and coatings, offering both waterborne and solvent-based paints, primers, clears, and specialty products. This includes well-known brands such as Sikkens, Autobase plus, Autowave, Lesonal, U-tech fleet finishes, House of Kolor custom finishes, and Wanda Base coat Clear coat paint systems. Beyond paint, they provide a comprehensive range of collision repair products, including abrasives and adhesives from brands like 3M, Evercoat, and SEM. Customers can also find spray equipment from manufacturers like DeVilbiss, Sata, and Iwata, along with a variety of tools and equipment such as those from AES, Astro Pneumatic, ATD, and Ingersoll Rand. Safety products, including eye protection, respiratory protection, and gloves, are also part of their offerings. Their product lines further extend to various other items critical for body shops, such as masking paper, compounds, glazes, sealants, fasteners, and specialized repair materials. In addition to product sales, Body Parts Store, Inc emphasizes education and support, offering coating classes and collision repair training. Their mission, as stated on their website, is "To deliver more than a can of paint through education and services designed to benefit our customers and their employees!" This suggests a commitment to empowering their clients with knowledge and skills to implement the latest lean repair practices, ultimately aiming to enhance cycle-time and customer referrals for their professional partners. They position themselves not just as a supplier, but as an extension of their clients' teams, providing dedicated local support.

A key feature of Body Parts Store, Inc is its role as a comprehensive supplier for collision repair centers, not just a retail outlet for individual consumers. They aim to supply organizations with high-quality paint and coating products, coupled with technical expertise and support. They are equipped to handle custom paint mixing, which is a critical service for achieving seamless repairs. However, it's important to address the customer reviews provided. One review details a frustrating experience involving paint matching and order fulfillment, citing multiple visits without resolution and a perceived lack of care from employees. Another review points to incorrectly mixed automotive paint, resulting in significant financial loss for the customer, with no apparent willingness from the store to rectify the issue. These reviews indicate potential challenges in customer service, communication, and quality control, which are significant aspects for a business reliant on professional clientele. The discrepancy between their stated mission of providing education and support and these reported customer experiences highlights areas where the store may need to improve its operational consistency and customer engagement. Despite these negative anecdotes, their stated commitment to training and providing a full range of products for the industry suggests a desire to be a valuable resource for auto body professionals. Their extensive inventory and partnerships with various brands demonstrate their capacity to be a one-stop shop for many collision repair needs.

Regarding promotional information, Body Parts Store, Inc, as a business-to-business supplier, would typically focus on fostering long-term relationships with auto body shops and professional painters. While specific promotional offers for the general public are unlikely given their specialization, they may offer competitive pricing structures, bulk discounts, or loyalty programs for their commercial clients. Their emphasis on training and technical support can also be seen as a valuable promotional offering, as it provides added value beyond just product sales. They likely engage in direct outreach to body shops and utilize their sales team to build relationships and offer tailored solutions. Interested businesses or individuals in the automotive repair trade can contact them directly at (515) 265-9999 or +1 515-265-9999 to inquire about their products, services, pricing, or technical training opportunities. Their website also indicates the availability of resources like credit applications and technical training sign-up forms, suggesting a structured approach to serving their professional customer base. While the negative reviews warrant consideration, the breadth of their product offering and their stated commitment to industry support are notable aspects of their operation.

Body Parts Store, Inc Customer Reviews

Trying to have paint made. Dropped off part to have matched and paint made. Was told they would call the next day when the paint was done. They did not call. I came in the next day after. The employees pretty much just ignored me and carried on with there conversation for several minutes. When I was helped they told me they did not make my paint and to come back Monday again. I came in on Wednesday to pick up my paint since I couldn't make it Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday was the same thing. Was basically ignored for a long time. Then was told they haven't done anything with my order. No explanation or anything. Like they didn't even care. Horrible business. I did not give them the chance to run me around again
