Batteries Plus Introduce

Batteries Plus, located at 2042 Main St, Green Bay, WI 54302, USA, is a specialized retail establishment operating within the broader scope of the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, although its primary offerings extend significantly beyond just automotive services. While they do cater to vehicle battery needs, their core business encompasses a vast array of batteries for virtually every application, along with light bulbs and increasingly, expert device repair services. This particular Green Bay location serves as a local resource for individuals and businesses seeking specialized power solutions and quick fixes for their electronic devices.

The environment at Batteries Plus stores is typically a well-organized retail space, designed to showcase a diverse inventory of battery types, light bulbs, and related accessories. The layout is structured to allow customers to easily browse products, from automotive batteries to watch batteries, and specialized industrial power sources. There is usually a dedicated counter for customer service, where staff can assist with product selection, perform battery testing, and handle repair intake for mobile devices. The atmosphere aims to be informative and efficient, catering to customers who often come in with specific needs for power or device troubleshooting.

Batteries Plus offers an extensive range of goods for sale. Their most prominent product category is, as the name suggests, **batteries**. This includes automotive batteries for cars, trucks, motorcycles, and marine vehicles; batteries for everyday electronics like laptops, cell phones, and cameras; and specialized batteries for medical devices, alarm systems, and industrial equipment. They also stock a wide variety of **light bulbs**, ranging from traditional incandescent bulbs to energy-efficient LED options for residential, commercial, and automotive use. Beyond these core offerings, they provide accessories such as chargers, adapters, and power inverters.

In terms of services, Batteries Plus has significantly expanded its offerings beyond just selling products. A key service is **free car battery testing and installation**, which directly aligns with the "Auto Repair Stations" category. They also provide **battery recycling services** for various types of batteries, promoting environmental responsibility. A substantial part of their service portfolio now includes **device repair**, particularly for smartphones and tablets. This encompasses services like **screen repair**, **battery replacement for devices**, and **charging port repair**. They often handle repairs for popular brands like Apple and Samsung, positioning themselves as a convenient alternative to manufacturer service centers for common issues. Additionally, many locations offer **key fob and car remote replacement and programming**, adding another layer of automotive-related service.

However, it is crucial to address customer feedback regarding service quality, as highlighted in the provided reviews. One customer's experience detailed an issue with a **screen protector installation** for a Samsung Galaxy Fold. The customer was asked for their phone's PIN for what was described as a Samsung-mandated check, despite only needing a screen protector. This raises concerns about privacy and potentially a lack of training regarding security features like "maintenance mode" on modern smartphones, which allows technicians access without compromising personal data. The customer subsequently found a more accommodating solution at a different repair shop, suggesting inconsistency in staff training or adherence to best practices in device handling. Another review highlighted a negative customer service interaction when inquiring about a gaming system battery, describing the staff member as "inconvenienced" and lacking "customer service skills." These instances suggest that while Batteries Plus aims to provide a wide range of services, the customer experience can vary, and there may be a need for more consistent and thorough staff training in customer interaction and technical protocols, especially concerning sensitive personal devices.

Despite these reported inconsistencies, the concept of Batteries Plus remains valuable due to its specialized inventory and convenient service offerings. For local users in Green Bay, the store aims to be a go-to for finding obscure battery types, upgrading to more efficient lighting, or getting a cracked phone screen fixed without a lengthy wait time. Their ability to cross-reference parts and offer solutions for a vast range of devices and vehicles is a significant feature. The convenience of having a specialized store that also offers basic automotive battery services and device repairs under one roof is a definite draw for many customers.

In terms of promotional information, Batteries Plus frequently promotes its specialized services through various channels. While specific Green Bay promotions are not detailed, the chain generally advertises their free battery testing, device repair expertise, and vast product selection. They often run promotions on specific battery types or repair services. The convenience of their location at 2042 Main St and their direct phone numbers, (920) 469-6779 and mobile +1 920-469-6779, make them easily accessible for local inquiries and service appointments. However, potential customers should be aware of the varied service experiences reported and consider clarifying specific procedures, especially for device repairs involving personal information, to ensure their comfort and privacy.

Batteries Plus Customer Reviews

Went to have a screen protector put on my galaxy fold. I only needed the screen protector. The representative told me he needed my pin to get in the phone. As samsung had something that they were wanting them to look at. I advised that I only wanted a screen protector put on and was not giving my pin to have full access to my appls and phone. He said he couldn't help me then. I went right over to u break we fix. I put my phone in maintenance care mode. No pin was needed. With it in maintenance mode it will allow the tech to work on phone and access all things that could be needed for maintenance. Just blocks off the tech from any appls that were downloaded or not part of the maintenance. Paid a little more. But it was well worth it to not have to stress if my phone would be reset or personal information compromised. More training is needed. Especially if they are a company that samsung has doing work on phones. Highly recommend xu break we fix. If you need samsung work done. This is actually for 850 Hansen rd, Green bay

I stopped in looking for a battery for a gaming system, I had the adapters to attach to the battery, but the person working didn’t even want to look at the voltage I needed and seemed inconvenienced by me asking. I did see the battery there on the way out, but after the experience I had I would rather get it from amazon, at least their employees have customer service skills.

Everything went well, the salesman was courteous, and the battery works great so far.

Worst experience I’ve ever had trying to spend my money. He had left my phone right out on the counter and when I came back in store it was sitting for anyone to take. When asking about that he said it’s insured so who cares. Waited hours as he helped everyone who walked in the door after me. I even prepaid for my new battery upfront. After being yelled at and humiliated in front of another customer, I asked for my money back because I didn’t even ever get my battery changed, he said no way. Had to request a refund from my bank which I did receive. I recorded everything on my phone thinking he would act appropriately and to protect myself but he had no self control. I felt threatened. I would never recommend this place and won’t ever step foot there again. ** Batteries plus- there is no resolution of this issue unless you terminate this employee. It is never ok to be abusive to anyone, especially while just shopping in a store just trying to spend your money for a service that I never received. He threatened physical harm to me. I was a retail store manager for years and would of terminated this employee immediately. I will never go back, and I recommend all potential customers to go anywhere else…especially women. ** I highly recommend Smart Tech Wireless on Velp Ave in Howard for all your phone needs. The owner is very honest, kind and helpful. Got my battery changed on my phone right away, and I even bought another phone there for a really reasonable price. He gladly helped me and actually wanted my business.

I'm sorry if this review is hard to read, it might be because I'm writing it on my still broken phone.... I called Saturday to ask about a screen repair for my phone. I was told they would have the screen in stock on Tuesday, quoted me $249 and quickly hung up. I was a little surprised by the lack of follow up or not getting my info for an appointment. So I called back later that afternoon to make sure everything was set, and was told no appointment needed just bring it in Tuesday. Tuesday comes around and I take off work early to get there by 3 (it closes at 7p) to give them plenty of time for the repair. I get there and I'm told the technician is leaving for the day and won't be able to fix it. I'm not thrilled with this, especially since I don't live just down the street. I'm told to bring it in the following morning. Again, no appointment made or information taken. So that's what I did, got up and drove in first thing in the morning. The manager was there, and I informed him of what had happened. Very little empathy shown for the poor communication from the store over the past few days then goes on to tell me the repair will cost $399! I was specifically quoted $249 and after telling him that he made no effort to make things right. Long story short. Buy your batteries off Amazon and get your phone fixed somewhere else.
