BAKER ACT CUSTOMS MOTORCYCLES Customer Reviews

I needed new tires for my motorcycle and was super happy to find a local bike shop to help me swap the tires and oil! Shannon was fantastic at working with me to find the best tires for the type of riding that I do, especially for my Kawasaki Versys-x 300 which has relatively weird dimensions! After taking it into the shop, the bike feels absolutely amazing to ride, and Shannon and his crew even helped to make sure my clutch and the rest of the bike was dialed in perfectly. The bikes they have in the shop were super impressive from a fabrication perspective, and they even had a Clemson themed bike! I'll get a picture up of my bike soon, but I can really recommend Baker Act Customs for all your motorcycle needs!

Shannon, Baker Act Customs was suggested to me by a Great friend. He helped get my 2008 Suzuki Boulevard M109R, 1800CC over to Shannon & his crew. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. Shannon & his crew helped me fall back in LoVe with my bike. I took it in for some repairs and a few upgrades. He did the repairs & a few extras. I'm so HaPpY with the work they did. I can say I feel I finally found an Honest Bike Shop. Thank you Shannon & the guys.

I had work completed on my Road King (Wheels & Tires) at Baker Act Customs and can honestly say it is one of the best shops around no question. Shannon will treat you like family. Pricing is competitive with other shops in the area. But above all, is the expectational level of customer service and workmanship you will get. I would recommend Baker Act Customs to anyone looking at getting work done on your bike, whether it's an oil change or full-blown custom...this is the shop for you!

Can’t say enough good stuff about this shop and the owner Shannon. He went above and beyond with helping me get this bike up and running. Was understanding with my budget and added special touches to the project. Highly recommend for any project!

Mr. Shannon more than knows his craft, he cares about his customers. I was through with taking my 2005 Yamaha Virago XV250 to low-price, cut rate mechanic shops. One shop didn't let customers know about an upfront $80 deposit [$97 now] over the phone or on its site, and didn't tighten the oil drain screw [had to do it myself] when finished with repairs. Another changed the rear brake [it still squeals] after picking one of the priciest front tires it had in stock, claiming it was the only one that fit. And shop never explained what they did to get her running again. Days later, the bike would not start. That happened a few times. I gave up, and decided to go with someone who built bikes from the ground up, Baker Act Customs. Had seen bikers wearing their tee shirts downtown, and they had good vibes. Remember how we mentioned about how Mr. Shannon cares? If you need to get home or back to work, and your bike is all you have, he would UBER you on his dime! Mr. Shannon always kept me in the loop the whole process. The biggest update was that the bike needed a new swing arm. Didn't know it was bent. But not one of the three previous mechanics brought the bent swing arm to my attention, even the one who changed the rear brake pads. That shop was supposed to "recommend" repairs, and didn't. The same as they were to "recommend" a front tire for the bike. Basically, I was riding a death trap [the rear wheel was at a serious slant, and the bike always looked as if it would fall over when on the rear stand], and didn't realize it! Mr. Shannon did!!! He so was vehement about not riding the bike unless it got fixed, that he stated it should be towed home if the repair was not done. That was how a true and honest bike mechanic should react! Turned out the bike was a salvage bike with a rebuilt title. After he removed the swing arm, he showed how it originally had duct tape [a la The Red Green Show] as a sealer!!! The man saved my life! I later took my Virago back for mods. Gave Mr. Shannon an idea of the look I wanted. He floored me with the end results! Let it be stated, you get what you pay for with Baker Act Customs. Mr. Shannon charges appropriately for professionalism and thoroughness from himself and his team. If you want cheap work done or a hack job, go elsewhere. Saving dollars can result in serious injury or loss of life. Why risk that? The Virago was my very first motorcycle. I now own a total of four: 2000 Suzuki GSX-R750, 2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883, 2003 Honda CBR954RR. Each one I took to Baker Act Customs for maintenance and repair. Mr. Shannon and his team deal with all types of bikes. They can fix darn near anything. Made the mistake of thinking they only worked on cruiser bikes, and took my GSX-R750 to a shop owned by a former professional motorcycle racer whose office is a shrine of medals and trophies. They kept my bike for over a year, claiming they could not find fuel injectors to fit my bike. After Mr. Shannon blasted me and told me handled sport bikes too, I found out the real story. They lied. The bike needed a serious wire harness job, and they didn't want to do it. Or they couldn't do it. The bike was done in less than two weeks! He had my CBR954RR in the shop at the same time. It was actually the one with bad fuel injectors. That same shop never properly fixed it when I took it there because I didn't know Mr. Shannon's shop did sport bikes. He had it ready a few days before the GSX-R750. Lesson learned. I will say this ONE more time. If you want cheap work done or a hack job, go elsewhere. Saving dollars can result in serious injury or loss of life. Why risk that? Putting a band-aid on a bike, only to have it act up or shut off on you, and then having to take it back to the mechanic is what you will get if you take your motorcycle(s) to anyone other than Mr. Shannon. The man is a rare gem. He is an honest, caring, competent mechanic! I've been getting my maintenance and repair work done at his shop for five years! And will for another five, ten, or fifteen!

Brought my Street Glide in for new tires and a service and couldn’t be more happy with the results. Shannon was friendly from the start and even shook my hand as he was introducing himself. That means a lot to me and shows that he cares about his business and customers. We first met on a Saturday and he had my tires in by the next business day. Once I got my bike there he had it ready in a couple of days. He gave me the price up front and was very transparent with everything. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely be a repeat customer!!
