Comprehensive Services Offered

Sundown Customs Window Tinting offers a diverse array of services, placing it firmly within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, but with a specialized focus on vehicle aesthetics and protection. Their core offerings include:

  • Window Tinting: This is a primary service, providing a range of tinting options for cars, trucks, and SUVs. Beyond just aesthetics, window tinting from Sundown Customs is lauded for its practical benefits, including significant heat rejection (reducing interior temperatures and easing strain on air conditioning), UV ray protection (shielding occupants from harmful UV exposure and preventing interior fading), glare reduction (improving driving comfort and safety), and enhanced privacy.

  • Vehicle & Marine Wraps: Sundown Customs is highly regarded for its expertise in vinyl wraps. This service allows for extensive customization, offering a vast array of colors, finishes (glossy, matte, metallic), and textures (like carbon fiber). Vehicle wraps provide a creative alternative to traditional paint jobs, enabling subtle color changes, two-tone designs, or full graphic masterpieces. They also act as a protective layer against scratches, nicks, and UV rays, preserving the vehicle's original paint. This service extends to marine vehicles, boats, and trailers, demonstrating their versatility.

  • Paint Protection Film (PPF): Also known as "Clear Bra," this service involves applying a transparent, ultra-durable layer to the vehicle's paint. This film is designed to shield the paint from chips, scratches, road debris, and chemical stains. Sundown Customs utilizes high-quality PPF products, including those with self-healing properties, which contribute to maintaining the vehicle's finish and resale value over time.

  • Vehicle Graphics and Decals: Beyond full wraps, they also offer custom decals and graphics for personalization or branding purposes. This is particularly beneficial for businesses looking to add their logo or promotional messages to their commercial vehicles.

  • Signs and Promotional Materials: While primarily an auto repair station, Sundown Customs has also demonstrated capabilities in creating signs, banners, and promotional materials, often leveraging their expertise in vinyl application. This indicates a broader skill set in graphic design and large-format printing.

Sundown Customs Window Tinting Customer Reviews

UPDATE!!!! Shortly after I left this review, the guy from this business gave me a call back, threatening to sue me with his attorney, 🤣 lol saying that I haven’t done business with them , Newsflash yes you’ve done business with me 100% I called you And you gave me a ridiculous price so I declined your business so therefore that means we done business.. your future customers need to know how you treated someone, I declined your business because of your price so yes we’ve done business with you. And also, I just read the response from the business lol they were calling the Golf Cart job a custom job which requires custom cutting keep in mind. This is a 31” x 32in Cut…. On a flat windshield nothing out of the ordinary that needs to be done No heating the tent to make it fit blah blah blah just a literal cut a piece of Tint 31” x 32” Spray some Tint solution and squeegee the rest off! Literally two cuts my complaint isn’t just some Karen response it’s Literally, the fact that this company was gonna charge me $300 to tint a windshield on a golf cart that takes two cuts! But I did find someone near you that said that they would do it for $55 🙄 Original review, Soooo, I called this place and asked for a price on a golf cart windshield, the golf cart windshield measures 31” x 32” and it’s a tempered glass windshield perfectly flat no curves just a flat piece of Glass, this job would take literally two strait cuts! First of all the person I spoke with on the phone told me To send a picture so he’ll know what he’s dealing with lol but then he came back with a price of $300 to tint this windshield 🤣🤣🤣 Then I said…wow for a golf cart windshield? And then I said well how much for a Cadillac Escalade he said $260 🤣 But I figured I would leave a one star review because I’m sure whoever is reading this review would feel that that was a little bit steep for a golf cart! All day long that should’ve been max a $50 job and I think everyone who reads this will agree! Anyway, next time, maybe not be so money hungry, and your reviews may not be affected!

I’ve had two vehicles tinted by sundown now. First they did my work vehicle, most recently my new truck. Both times they’ve been very professional and informative, easy to work with, and just laid back people. Happy to have tint applied to the windows of my new truck to preserve the interior by cutting down on the suns ability to bake it, it looks better, and keeps hot air out in the summer, and warm air in during the winter. I’ve never even contacted another company to compare pricing, but both times they’ve quoted me a figure that I felt was fair enough to not bother trying elsewhere. After the first experience, I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else anyways.

I brought my vehicle here through a quick appointment in about 3 hours I called and they do an amazing job, I been here before when I got my first car as they always do a good job. They have all the tints and explained what each one does. I highly recommend this place!

CUSTOMERS BEWARE. Anyone who has has window tint at Sundown Customs lately should really look at the finished quality. Vehicles done there over the years have been acceptable but I can't express the frustrations with trying to get my last vehicles correct AND I can't believe that there is only one other review that claims similar issues to what I experienced. NO window tint should have the numerous application defects that I've witnessed especially when Jake claims he has been doing tint for 12+ years. On my 5th visit due to bad application Jake believes that I challenged his professionalism and tells me to leave or that he will have me removed - great warranty and customer service. Excuses provided on my five trips to have windows tinted on my new Kia Rio include (1) We didn't get all of the old glue off. (2) That's not a bug inside the tint - it was (3) That's a piece of sponge in the tint (4) There's a defect in the glass (5) No tint job will be air bubble free (6) Our plotter cut the tint to the wrong size (7) The windows seals are hand installed and too tight to slide the tint under - a credit card could slide between the seal and window (8) You have never had a Kia tinted and they have soft glass (9) All tint jobs can have light gaps especially if we hand cut them like on old Chevys (10) The LIFETIME WARRANTY is on the tint product, we only reinstall it to try and help the customer (11) You might have been here four times but we've had windows done twelve times to try and make you happy (12 My personal favorite) Do you have OCD? Really? I just wanted the quality of work that I paid for which was about $150 more than the shop in Greenville that got it right on the first try!!! EDIT ADDED MAY 1. JAKE CALLED ME ON APRIL 30 STATING THAT I COMMITTED BANK FRAUD BECAUSE I FILED A DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY SIDED IN MY FAVOR AND REVERSED PAYMENT. HE THREATENED THAT LEGAL ACTIONS WOULD FOLLOW IF I DID NOT REMOVE THIS REVIEW!!!
