Autocross Performance & Muffler

See the pictures. I feel I overpaid. Total of $800 for pipes and installation, I provided the mufflers. When I got home, all nuts came loose from collector this was because there were not the right nuts installed, I replaced them myself. After surveying the welds, I saw only 1 hanger on each side. I feel there should be at least 2, one in front and 1 in rear. When "we," the consumer is looking for a good shop, our options are slim, and I felt using a small shop was the best idea. Incredible Expertise and Customer Service. JR has the most educated body of knowledge I’ve ever seen on exhaust systems. Especially catalytic converters (cats). My Toyota 3.3L Sports Limited Edition Solara is 20 yrs old, bought it new in 2005. I’m restoring it, and it must pass California “CARB” standards. As a scientist I understand the scientific method of research, and can do research on these things, but JR’s expertise is truly vast surpassing all that I could find. His staff installed 2 cats, four 02 sensors, and one motor mount, on my classic car. In his shop that is spotless and clean (which speaks volumes, in itself.) I just drove 600 miles to and from Arizona. The car drove with the perfect quietness, and powerfulness as it did when new. Like a dream, no service lights either. The Toyota stealership said I needed all the mounts. It did not, this Autocross Performance & Muffler saved me $1,275.00 there. Worth repeating, Autocross Performance & Muffler saved me $1,275.00 on motor mounts. The car was done, precisely as he stated, by days end. Now I did not expect that, as these things take time, and often there’s unseen additional parts or work or complications along the way especially a 20 year old car and I get that. The honesty and integrity made me feel very comfortable leaving a part of my family (the car) with him. I think what impressed me the most again was his body of knowledge on the cats, my engine etc. so if your restoring an old car, or want customer service, not a hustle, nor upsell and don’t want to feel like another number this is the place to go. My friend got a muffler bypass and they couldn’t even weld the bypass all the way and there welds are horrible what a waste of money if you want some good work go down to best mufflers

I have had multiple great experiences with autocross. J.R. is amazing. Very knowledgeable about all cars. I wanted to beef up the sound of my 335i BMW. I was on a budget so we first did a sound cut. I came back later when I had more money and added a Carven R muffler. Not only does it sound great it gives me more power it had improved my gas mileage. I also added two new 4” blue flame tips. One of my next trips I did the Hydro tune up that cleans the engine and catalytic converter. I love that JR will work with your budget and piece everything together. I love coming to a female friendly place that doesn’t rip off women! Thank you 😊

Finding this place was a true blessing. My son had recently purchased a used car and when we went to get it smogged we found out it needed two catalytic converters replaced. After calling around we found out it was going to cost between $3,500-4,000 to replace both of them. This place was the last place we called. J.R. quoted us around the same price as the others, but he also told us of another option he offered called the Hydro Tune-up which could clean the catalytic converters so it could pass smog. J.R. was kind enough to thoroughly and patiently explain the process and let us know that he's been doing this for several years with a high success rate. He answered any and all questions we had and boy did we have many. He was very personable and informative. We decided to do it since a few hundred dollars for the hydro tune-up was the only option for my son's budget at this time. Sure enough it cleaned them up and it passed smog the next day! We are so thankful for finding this place and highly recommend.

100% recommend. Second time at the shop, this time with a project/fun 2001 Suburban 5.3 V8 . First time was in mid-2023 with a 2020 Silverado 5.3 V8. The owner is very knowledgeable, asks great questions regarding what youre looking for, inspects the vehicle, makes recommendations, and explains why. Both times I went with the Borla Pro XS muffler on the trucks. Fantastic sound for daily driving and sounds like a nascar when you step on it. I live in AZ, so we can have fun. Both times the work was done in less than an hour of when I showed up....without an appointment. I off road a fair amount and everything holds up perfectly. Plus the owner is real "salt of the earth" type of guy. Real people. In today's world it's very uplifting to meet a great man.

This place is it!!! JR was so helpful in fixing my catalytic converter and completed it in a timely manner. He also took the time to show me the problem on my old catalytic converter to help me understand and advise all the details nobody talks about to make sure your car stays in shape.Definitely recommend and will plan to come back again. 🙏🏽
