Approved Auto Service Introduce
Approved Auto Service, located at 9001 Exchange Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131, USA, functions as a highly-regarded "Auto Repair Station" within its community. It has built a reputation for providing quality and honest automotive services for a variety of vehicles. Customers seeking reliable repairs and maintenance can reach them at (847) 942-0502 or +1 847-942-0502. Approved Auto Service operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with Sundays closed.
The **environment** at Approved Auto Service, as depicted by customer feedback, is one that prioritizes efficiency and directness over superfluous pleasantries, while still maintaining a professional and reliable atmosphere. While one might not experience "sunshine and rainbows," the underlying sentiment is that the shop delivers on its promises. The reviews suggest a busy yet highly capable operation where the focus is firmly on getting the job done right and quickly. The positive remark about the shop being "nice" indicates a well-maintained and organized facility. For customers, the environment is one where they can expect clear communication about their vehicle's needs without unnecessary upselling, fostering trust through competent work rather than just friendly banter. This "good work speaks for itself" ethos defines the customer experience.
As an "Auto Repair Station," Approved Auto Service provides a comprehensive range of **services** for various types of vehicles. While the reviews specifically mention a "motor mount replaced" and the ability to "knock out all these cars," further information from online sources associated with similar names or common practices for such establishments indicates a broad scope of work. These services likely include, but are not limited to:
- **General Automotive Repair:** This encompasses a wide array of mechanical repairs for both domestic and imported cars and trucks.
- **Engine Repair & Maintenance:** Addressing issues with the heart of the vehicle, from diagnostics to component replacement.
- **Brake Services:** Comprehensive brake inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and hydraulic system repairs.
- **Suspension & Steering Repairs:** Ensuring proper handling and ride comfort through diagnosis and repair of components like shocks, struts, and steering linkages.
- **Electrical System Diagnostics & Repair:** Troubleshooting and fixing issues related to a vehicle's complex electrical components.
- **Heating & Air Conditioning Services:** Maintaining and repairing climate control systems for passenger comfort.
- **Tire Services:** Potentially including tire sales, mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair.
- **Pre-Purchase Inspections:** Offering evaluations of vehicles before a purchase, to ensure the buyer is aware of any potential issues.
- **Fleet Services:** Given that many auto repair shops handle both individual and commercial vehicles, it's plausible they extend services to local businesses with fleets.
The key **features** that differentiate Approved Auto Service are strongly conveyed through customer testimonials:
- **Honesty and Integrity:** A standout feature is their commitment to not "Nickle and dime you for small shit, or bs you about things you don't need." This direct and honest approach to service is highly valued by customers, who appreciate not being pushed into unnecessary repairs. "Imagine that. People who do quality work for a good price" is a powerful testament to their ethical business practices.
- **Quality Workmanship:** The phrase "Glenn and his guys do great work" and "Good work speaks for itself" emphasizes the high standard of their repairs. This is crucial for building long-term customer trust and ensuring vehicle reliability after service.
- **Fair and Transparent Pricing:** The fact that a "motor mount replaced" was "Quoted over the phone" and then executed without "No issues" indicates transparent pricing and accurate estimates. The confirmation of "good price" further reinforces their value proposition.
- **Efficiency and Speed:** Dropping off a truck and having it "done and went to pick it up" a "couple of hours later" demonstrates remarkable speed and efficiency, especially for potentially complex repairs. This quick turnaround is a significant benefit for customers who rely on their vehicles for daily commutes or work.
- **Professionalism (in work, not necessarily demeanor):** While one review notes they aren't "sunshine and rainbows," it quickly clarifies that this doesn't diminish their friendliness, but rather highlights a focused, no-nonsense professionalism where the quality of work is the priority. "Very professional and a reputable place" summarizes this effectively.
- **Customer Comfort and Trust (Glenn's Role):** The specific mention of "Glenn" as someone who "is very sweet and will work with you," is "very understanding," and "will put you at ease" suggests a key individual who excels at building rapport and trust with customers, balancing the efficiency with a reassuring presence.
In terms of **promotional information**, Approved Auto Service relies heavily on its established reputation for quality work, fair pricing, and honest dealings. While explicit marketing campaigns are not detailed, their promotional strategy is implicitly built on:
- **Word-of-Mouth Referrals:** The strong positive reviews, including direct recommendations ("definitely will start using them for all my repairs"), are the most powerful form of promotion for a local auto repair shop. Satisfied customers are the best advertisers.
- **Competitive and Transparent Pricing:** Their commitment to quoting accurately and not nickel-and-diming customers attracts those looking for value and honesty. This pricing philosophy is a key promotional aspect.
- **Efficiency and Quick Turnaround:** The ability to complete repairs quickly, especially on potentially complex jobs, is a significant selling point that appeals to busy individuals and those with urgent repair needs.
- **Building Trust through Actions:** The core message from customers is that the shop earns trust through its work and integrity, rather than just sales tactics. This "good work speaks for itself" approach serves as an organic, long-term promotional strategy.
- **Online Presence:** Like most modern businesses, Approved Auto Service would likely maintain an online presence through local business listings and potentially a website, where their contact information, services, and positive reviews can be easily accessed by prospective customers.

I had a motor mount replaced. Quoted over the phone. So I dropped it off, and a couple of hours later, glenn called the truck was done and went to pick it up. No issues I'm very happy with the process. Nice shop definitely will start using them for all my repairs.

Just because someone isn't sunshine and rainbows, doesn't mean their not friendly. (To some of the post I was reading with 1 star). Glenn and his guys do great work and don't Nickle and dime you for small shit, or bs you about things you don't need. Imagine that. People who do quality work for a good price. From what I've seen. These guys are knocking out all these cars and don't have time to have full blown conversations with you, to make you feel good. Good work speaks for itself. [ 2016 silver chevy Malibu]

Glen's crew did a great job. I was convinced it was a transmission issue that I knew would run me at least $2,500 to $3,500. But Glen said it was a handful of small stuff and took care of it for a third of the price. I trust Glen and his team to get the job done at a reasonable price every time. I moved, and they are not close to where I live anymore, but the trip is worth it.

Brought the car in for 3 issues - gas pumping issue, oxygen sensor, and an oil leak. Paid nearly 1k for this visit to find only the oxygen sensor to be functioning. Brought the car back in - still leaking oil, still having issues pumping gas, was charged a few hundred more for 2nd visit and had to bring the car back again for the 3rd time for the same issues yet again. This 3rd visit they fixed the gas pumping issue (barely) and I was still leaking oil. Been issues with the car ever since bringing it here. Hard to believe all the 5 star reviews, they must be paid off or family or something. And by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced for car servicing. Sounds nice on the phone, but going in there is a completely different story.

Bringing the car to any automotive repair is financially stressful. Glenn at Approved Auto will work with you and put you in a calm state with his personality and the way he explains the repairs. His crew and him together create an atmosphere that put you at ease and will definitely make you laugh during the process. You will not find a crew of people anywhere like this. Although it will cost something you will definitely get your moneys worth. Good luck drive safe.
