Aadvance Transmissions Introduce
Aadvance Transmissions, located at 397 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787, USA, is a specialized "Auto Repair Station" with a primary focus on transmission systems. Unlike general automotive repair shops that handle a wide range of mechanical issues, Aadvance Transmissions dedicates its services to the intricate repair, maintenance, and replacement of automatic and manual transmissions. This specialization makes it a distinct entity within the broader automotive service industry, catering to complex drivetrain problems that require specific expertise and equipment.
The environment at a specialized transmission shop like Aadvance Transmissions is typically geared towards technical efficiency and diagnostics. It would feature specialized lifts, diagnostic tools, and equipment necessary for accurately identifying and repairing transmission issues. The bay areas would be designed to handle the removal and installation of transmissions, which are often large and heavy components. While the primary focus is on the technical aspects of repair, the customer service environment is equally important, particularly when dealing with complex and often costly transmission problems. Customers would expect a clear explanation of issues, repair processes, and timelines. The shop's location on East Main Street in Smithtown suggests it is part of a commercial hub, providing accessibility for customers from Smithtown and surrounding areas. The emphasis in such a specialized facility is on the in-depth knowledge and capability to address transmission failures, which are among the most challenging and critical automotive repairs.
Aadvance Transmissions offers a focused range of services, specifically pertaining to vehicle transmissions and related drivetrain components. These services commonly include:
Automatic Transmission Repair and Rebuild: This is a core service, involving the diagnosis of issues, removal of the transmission, repair of internal components, and often a complete rebuild to restore the transmission to factory specifications. This can address problems like slipping gears, hard shifts, or complete transmission failure.
Manual Transmission Repair: Services for manual transmissions include repair or replacement of worn gears, synchronizers, bearings, and other internal components that affect shifting and performance.
Clutch Replacement and Repair: For manual transmission vehicles, this service involves replacing worn clutch discs, pressure plates, throw-out bearings, and pilot bearings, as well as addressing hydraulic clutch system issues.
Transmission Diagnostics: Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately pinpoint the cause of transmission problems, which can often be complex and involve electronic controls as well as mechanical failures.
Transmission Fluid Service: Draining and refilling transmission fluid, often accompanied by filter replacement, which is crucial for the longevity and smooth operation of automatic transmissions.
Transfer Case Repair: For four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles, addressing issues with the transfer case, which distributes power to the front and rear axles.
Differential Service: Inspection and repair of vehicle differentials, which manage the speed difference between wheels.
Performance Transmission Upgrades: While not explicitly stated, specialized transmission shops may also offer upgrades for performance vehicles, including heavy-duty components or custom builds.
For communication and inquiries, Aadvance Transmissions can be reached by phone at (631) 366-0022 or +1 631-366-0022. This allows customers to discuss their specific transmission issues and schedule diagnostic appointments.
The features of Aadvance Transmissions, as gleaned from customer feedback, present a mixed picture. Specialization in transmissions is inherently a key feature, as it implies a depth of knowledge and dedicated equipment for these complex systems. However, the customer reviews available highlight significant concerns regarding customer service, communication, and efficiency. One customer describes the service as "Bad, very bad" and a "terrible customer service," citing issues with extended waiting times and unfulfilled promises regarding repair timelines. A vehicle reportedly stayed for "8 days" without even a "scanner" being put on it, despite being told it would be returned in a week. This points to potential challenges in capacity management or internal communication. Another review details a 10-day ordeal to replace a "temperature sensor," which should typically take hours, and a rude dismissal by staff, telling the customer to "take it somewhere else." These accounts collectively indicate a significant inconsistency in service delivery, particularly concerning transparency in timelines and respectful client interaction. While the phone numbers (631) 366-0022 and +1 631-366-0022 are provided for contact, the experiences described suggest that communication, despite being available, may not always be effective or reassuring for the customer. For any specialized repair shop, particularly one dealing with critical and expensive components like transmissions, clear communication, adherence to promised timelines, and polite customer interaction are paramount for building trust and positive reputation. The existing feedback suggests these are areas where Aadvance Transmissions may need to focus on improvement to meet customer expectations.
Given the nature of the services offered by a specialized transmission shop, promotional information typically emphasizes expertise and problem-solving rather than frequent discounts on parts. While specific, current promotions for Aadvance Transmissions are not publicly detailed, common promotional aspects for such a business might include:
Specialization Emphasis: Highlighting their unique expertise in transmissions as a key differentiator from general repair shops, assuring customers that complex issues will be handled by specialists.
Diagnostic Services: Offering competitive pricing or initial free estimates for transmission diagnostics, encouraging customers to bring their vehicles in for assessment.
Warranty on Repairs: Providing a warranty on transmission repairs or rebuilds, which is crucial for building customer confidence in such a significant investment.
Online Presence: Potentially having a website that details their services, explains common transmission problems, and offers online appointment scheduling or inquiry forms.
Local Advertising: Utilizing local directories, community newspapers, or online platforms to reach customers within the Smithtown area who are searching for transmission repair services.
For individuals in need of transmission services, it is advisable to contact Aadvance Transmissions directly at (631) 366-0022 or +1 631-366-0022 to discuss their specific vehicle issues, inquire about diagnostic procedures, and understand estimated repair timelines and costs. Given the existing customer feedback, it would be prudent for prospective customers to engage in thorough communication to set clear expectations regarding service duration and communication during the repair process.
In conclusion, Aadvance Transmissions at 397 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787, USA, functions as a specialized "Auto Repair Station" focused on the intricate world of vehicle transmissions. While its specialization offers the promise of expert knowledge for complex drivetrain issues, customer reviews highlight significant challenges in service delivery, particularly concerning adherence to timelines and customer communication. For vehicle owners in Smithtown facing transmission problems, Aadvance Transmissions presents a specialized option, and direct communication regarding service expectations and duration would be a key factor in ensuring a satisfactory experience.

Aadvance Transmissions Customer Reviews
Bad, very bad service. I left my car in a week. They told me that they would return it to me in a week. I went to work every day and saw my car in the same place. I waited a few days and they came to bring it. They told me a week and 8 days went by and they didn't even put the scanner on it... it's a junkyard for automatic transmissions.

Terrible customer service. After a week waiting for ordering a part (others told me takes hours not days), they scheduled a day to take my car to have it fixed at the same day. That's the whole idea of scheduling as one should mange at a capacity he can handle. I took my car and was hoping to finally fix my car. After couple of hours, they called me and told me that they won't be able to fix it at that day and RUDELY told me I can take it somewhere else if I want to. I had to take uber everytime i gave them a visit. The whole process took me 10 days to replace a temperature sensor. Eventually, I had to take it somewhere else. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

Advance towed my car from the nearby Honda dealer (no extra charge) rebuilt my transmission and then checked it not once, but twice. They suggested we bring the car back in a week to check for oil leaks which we did and there was no problem. Then, a week later when I'd had my car serviced for another issue and the Honda mechanic spotted what he thought was a leak from the transmission, I brought it back to Advance. They put it up on the lift, gave it a thorough check and once again, no problem and no additional charge.

Absolutely worth it 馃檪! Takes time to listen and understand the situation the customer has. Checks the problem and fully explains what the problem is and why it occurs. I feel respect and appreciate as a customer. Will definitely recommend and come back being reassure that my car is fixed correctly the first time

Honest and Professional. My 2016 Tacoma's transmission was slipping and shaking violently. It has 90k miles and warranty department said it would not cover. Lou from Advance transmission called the warranty company for me everyday and fought for me !!. Lou got me approved eventually. It's a very big job replacing a transmission but they got it done in 5 days..exactly on time. My truck been back at work for few weeks now and it drives good as new.
