AAA Tire & Auto Service - King of Prussia Introduce

Welcome, residents of King of Prussia and the surrounding areas, to our spotlight on AAA Tire & Auto Service, located at 197 E Dekalb Pike Suite 350. As a part of the well-known American Automobile Association, this King of Prussia location falls under our Auto Repair Stations platform, offering a variety of automotive services and potentially providing related goods, such as tires and auto parts, to its members and the general public.

For automotive service needs in the King of Prussia area, AAA Tire & Auto Service can be contacted at (610) 337-6800 or via their mobile number +1 610-337-6800. This direct contact allows local users to schedule appointments for various automotive services, inquire about tire availability and pricing, and potentially learn more about their offerings.

Understanding the environment and customer experience at an auto service center is crucial for local users. The provided reviews for AAA Tire & Auto Service in King of Prussia offer a mixed perspective. One detailed review highlights a negative experience centered around the renewal of a AAA membership and fingerprinting services. While the primary purpose of the visit was not auto-related, the reviewer encountered persistent upselling attempts and a lack of sensitivity regarding a recent personal loss. This experience suggests that while the facility might offer various services, the customer service approach in certain non-automotive interactions could be perceived as overly pushy and insensitive. The reviewer explicitly stated their intention not to return for any services and to potentially cancel their AAA membership due to this negative encounter.

In contrast, the name "AAA Tire & Auto Service" implies a facility equipped to handle a range of automotive needs. Another review, however, details a negative experience specifically related to auto service. This customer came in for a simple tire rotation and oil change but reported a prolonged service time of approximately 2.5 hours. During this time, the staff allegedly inspected various other components of the vehicle (filters, brakes, fluids) without prior authorization or clear necessity for the requested services. Subsequently, the customer was given a quote for new brakes, deemed necessary to pass inspection, at what they considered a "ridiculous price," which they declined. Upon leaving, the customer discovered that the tire rotation, one of the two services they initially requested, had not been performed. This necessitated a return visit on a different day to have the tires rotated. Seeking a second opinion, the customer had their vehicle inspected at another auto service provider (Pep Boys) and it passed without any issues. This review paints a concerning picture of potentially unnecessary upselling and a failure to even complete the initially requested service, leading the customer to label the experience as a "scam" and a waste of time, strongly advising others to avoid this location.

Based on the name and the context of being an "Auto Repair Station," the services that AAA Tire & Auto Service - King of Prussia likely offers include:

  • Tire Services: Including tire sales, installation, balancing, rotation, and potentially repair.
  • Oil Changes: A standard routine maintenance service.
  • Brake Service: Offering inspection, repair, and replacement of brake components.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Performing state-mandated or general vehicle safety and emissions inspections.
  • Other Routine Maintenance: Such as fluid checks and top-offs, filter replacements, etc. (implied by the mention of checking filters and fluids).

As part of the AAA organization, they might also offer additional benefits or discounts on automotive services for AAA members, although this is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews in a positive light regarding service discounts.

The features of AAA Tire & Auto Service - King of Prussia, based on the limited and largely negative customer feedback, are difficult to ascertain positively. Potential features that are commonly associated with AAA service centers might include:

  • Association with a Reputable Organization: AAA is a well-known and established auto club.
  • Potential Discounts for AAA Members: Although one review highlighted a discount on a non-automotive service (fingerprinting), the auto service experience did not reflect savings.
  • Comprehensive Range of Automotive Services: As suggested by their name and category.

However, the negative reviews raise serious concerns about the actual execution and customer experience of these potential features.

Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not explicitly mention any current discounts or special offers on automotive services. The one instance of a discount being mentioned was for a non-automotive service (fingerprinting) tied to AAA membership. Given the negative feedback on the auto service experience, it is unclear if any advertised promotions would translate into a positive customer outcome. Local users are advised to inquire specifically about pricing and any potential discounts when contacting AAA Tire & Auto Service in King of Prussia and to be cautious based on the experiences shared in the reviews.

In conclusion, while AAA Tire & Auto Service - King of Prussia is listed on our Auto Repair Stations platform and is associated with a well-known organization, the available customer reviews present significant concerns regarding their service practices. One review details aggressive upselling and a failure to complete a requested service, while another highlights insensitive and pushy behavior during a non-automotive interaction. Local users considering this facility for their automotive needs should be aware of this feedback and may want to seek additional opinions or exercise caution when engaging with this service center. The promise of comprehensive services and potential AAA member benefits needs to be weighed against the reported negative customer experiences.

AAA Tire & Auto Service - King of Prussia Customer Reviews

I went to AAA yesterday to renew my fingerprints for my teaching job because my clearances expired this year. The man at the register asked me if I was an AAA member because it would get me a discount on the fingerprints, which was nice, so I said yes and let him scan my card. He noticed that it was going to expire soon and asked me if I wanted to re-up my membership. I told him that my family shared the membership together, so I would rather wait until later to talk to my mom. He was pretty relentless, asking me if I wanted to pay in installments, saying that all info would be sent to the primary member. I explained that the primary member was my dad but he passed away last July (age 58 and it is very fresh for me and not fun to explain). The guy continued to be very pushy, asking if I wanted to change the primary member on the account to myself, add my mom, etc. I refused and said I just needed to talk to my family, and he finally let up. Once I got my fingerprints, the man who took them said that I should update my AAA ID to match my married name on my driver's license. I said I didn't really need to do that because I wasn't sure if my family was even going to renew our AAA since my dad had passed away recently and he was the primary member. He insisted that it was just so I could get help if I had car trouble, since my name on the ID needed to match my license. He insisted on walking me up front to get me help, so I agreed. We went back to the first man at the register who was helping another customer, and he asked me if it was urgent. I said no, and he said I could just call to change the name on the card. FINALLY I thought I was free, but nope. A woman across the room called over and said she could help me. At this point, I was incredibly frustrated. I wasn't even here for anything related to AAA. I just wanted to go home. She ran my AAA card to change my name and said it was pending because "the primary cancelled." For the THIRD time in that visit, I had to explain that my dad had just passed away and that's why the membership was cancelled. She ended up changing my name and then letting me go, saying I could re-up if I wanted to. The fact that I only came in for fingerprints and had to deal with this insane level of pushiness, explaining a recent traumatic event in my life multiple times (with no kindness or backing off from the staff, by the way), was absolutely ridiculous. I will absolutely never come back here and I am probably going to give up my AAA membership because of this experience.

I came in for ONLY a tire rotation and oil change. It took about 2 1/2 hours because they decided they wanted to look at all my filters, brakes and other fluids Then they proceeded to tell me I needed new brakes and that I wouldn’t pass inspection. Quotes me a ridiculous price which I declined. I leave and come to find out they didn’t rotate my tires, one of the two things I asked them to do. I had to schedule on a different day to get them rotated. Went to pep boys and got my car inspected and passed with no issues at all. Don’t go here unless you want to get scammed and your time wasted. I would give zero stars if I could Update 3/12/25: AAA responded to my review and requested additional information, which I promptly provided by emailing it to ACAReviews@aca.aaa.com. I am now hopeful for a positive outcome. Will keep this review updated.

I owe this team an apology! I had my rear brakes redone here during my annual inspection. I had thought my rear brakes had been redone before but was told I was probably thinking of my front brakes given the condition of the rear brakes. Looking back into my records, I found that my rear brakes had indeed been redone in 2024 at a different AAA location - but somehow twelve months (and only 3000 miles) later the pads were down to 2mm. I thought this location was being pushy about brakes, but it seems like the first replacement was never done! They were also kind enough to refund what I paid for the second replacement as the brakes were technically still under warranty.

I reached out to AAA online regarding a somewhat complicated tag & title situation and Amanda responded to my inquiry. She was very knowledgeable yet patient about my circumstances and provided all the required forms we would need while answering our many questions in detail. She took what appeared to be a convoluted process and made sure that I was fully prepared so that when it was time to visit AAA in person, I only had to hand over the forms I prepared and I then could sit back and receive my new auto tag.

Phil and Tom were so helpful and accommodating today when I was having car issues. We have used this location before when we had a flat tire that needed repair and again, had the best experience with them being able to fit us in and accommodate an emergency repair. Could not more highly recommend this location and the staff.
