A Better Truck Car Audio & Accessories

I called and talked to the owner Rick Ripley asking if they put audio in an RV. I have a large Class A RV. He said they did. I went up to A Better Truck Cap and talked to him about when to bring the unit in. He said bring it in on the Friday 5-24-2024 before memorial weekend and he would be doing it over that weekend and could have the unit back on the following Tuesday. That day came and went and he had it a week. I chalked it up to things happen. Then he tells me by text that he’s lost 12v power in the unit and I told him things I knew it could be. As it turns out he smoked my 2 deep cycle batteries and snapped a breaker due to the power loss. The next day he tells me he almost has the new radio in but there’s a problem. The problem is he drove my unit around his property and back in his far left driveway with my electric steps open and hit not only a giant rock on his property but a gas pipe. I drove up to see what was going on and my steps were not only stuck down but bent all to hell and wouldn’t retract back up to the unit. He tells me he will replace them. I contact him later that evening on his cell phone that he gave me the number to and he starts saying he thinks he might have them fixed. I told home anything short of how I brought it in will not be acceptable. Again all by text so it is all in writing. He writes that he will in fact order new steps and that they would be in on this past Monday or Tuesday. Text him more about if there in, and I get a no but I haven’t had a chance to call anyone yet. After that I ask again daily by text with no answers. Rick came to our home because by the time we got the unit home the new radio no longer worked. He switched where the power was completely no from and after he left about10pm, my wife and I cleaned up and went to call it a night but after turning the key off the new radio wouldn’t shut off. I then just cut the wire so it would shut down and the next morning fixed it myself Tried again for the last times on Saturday June 8 2024 and he has blocked my phone number, so my wife and I drive up there and he is supposedly “out of town “ picking up truck caps according to his employee who when I talk to him tells me he doesn’t understand what’s going on with Rick and he knew about the incident. I left angry as hell but still calm. I have to this point been very calm with Rick because he said he would take care of it. I then proceeded to file a police report because I am done being Mr nice guy and if not handled immediately will be taking several civil actions. I have all his texts and he’s on film inside and outside the RV as the RVnWest all around camera system in the vehicle records everything on a mini card and also in case the card is full records on a hard drive in the unit as well for a lengthy time. The photos below are taken at Rick’s shop. That is as far as they will go in and it’s obvious to see the damage. ALL of the stair supports have been bent and damaged. I await Rick’s response to either this or being true to his word and making this right. I will update when either happens.

Great experience! We contacted them to install running boards on a tundra and it was done the next day and it only took a few hours! Great job guys, it looks awesome. Highly recommend these guys.

Stopped in for price and advice on a cover for my truck. Very happy with how I was treated, especially the fact the owner didn’t try to sell me something more than my needs. Resulted in a cover being purchased and put on. Very happy with the end result. Thank you

The guys in this shop were great (Paul and Rick), however, I tried to go up to the shop as I had a question on potential warranty repair last Saturday and it appears the building is empty and they are closed. Is there a new location or good contact number?

A better truck cap and accessories just got doing a lift kit on my vehicle and did an outstanding job also put a cap on another vehicle and bed cover on. Great company to work with.
