Services Offered

Byrne Dairy and Deli distinguishes itself by combining the essential services of a gas station with the extensive offerings of a full-service deli and convenience store. This multi-faceted approach aims to cater to a broad range of customer needs.

  • Fuel Services: As a gas station, Byrne Dairy and Deli provides various grades of gasoline, typically including regular, midgrade, and diesel fuel, along with kerosene. This ensures that most vehicles can be refueled efficiently and conveniently.

  • Comprehensive Deli Menu: This is a major draw for many customers. The deli offers an extensive menu that goes far beyond typical convenience store fare. This includes:

    • Giant Deli Sandwiches or Subs: Known for being "loaded and delicious," these sandwiches come in various options like ham, Italian, turkey, roast beef, pastrami, BLT, chicken salad, and more, available in whole or half sizes. Some customers appreciate their substantial size.

    • Pizza: Freshly baked traditional pizzas with signature crust, marinara sauce, and premium mozzarella. There are also specialty pizzas like Chicken Bacon Ranch. While some customer experiences vary regarding pizza accuracy and quality, it remains a popular offering.

    • Chicken Wings: Available with various sauces (mild, medium, hot Buffalo, garlic, BBQ).

    • Paninis and Wraps: Toasted paninis with various fillings and fresh wraps like turkey, roast beef, and BLT.

    • Hot Sandwiches and Burgers/Fries: Including cheeseburger sliders and chicken sandwiches, along with classic sides like French fries and mozzarella sticks.

  • Shelby's Donuts: Many Byrne Dairy and Deli locations, including likely this one, feature freshly baked goods from their own bakery, Shelby's Donuts, offering donuts, cookies, and muffins.

Features / Highlights

The Byrne Dairy and Deli in Pulaski offers several features and highlights that shape the customer experience, with a few areas that have drawn mixed feedback:

  • Extensive Food Options: The sheer variety of food, particularly the "Giant Deli Sandwiches" and pizza, is a major highlight. Customers appreciate the option to get a full meal, not just a typical gas station snack. The positive review mentioning "loaded and delicious" sandwiches reinforces this.

  • Fresh Dairy Products: The availability of Byrne Dairy's own fresh milk, ice cream, and other dairy products is a significant advantage, appealing to customers seeking quality local dairy.

  • One-Stop Shop Convenience: The combination of fuel, a comprehensive deli, and a well-stocked convenience store truly makes it a one-stop shop, saving customers time by consolidating their errands.

  • Potential for Inconsistent Service/Order Accuracy: One significant piece of customer feedback highlighted issues with order accuracy and staff attitude when ordering pizza. Specifically, an order for a "bacon tomato ranch pizza" with a "sauce base" was reportedly made with a "ranch base" instead, and the customer encountered "attitude" from workers. This suggests that while the offerings are extensive, consistency in order fulfillment and customer service can be variable.

  • Quick Stop for Travelers: Despite the pizza order issue, the positive review about the sandwiches from a traveler indicates that for straightforward orders, the service can be efficient and satisfactory, making it a good "whim stop" for those on the road.

Byrne Dairy and Deli Customer Reviews

I called and placed an order for a pizza. Very specifically “a bacon tomato ranch pizza, I want a sauce base, with bacon and tomato, and after it’s cooked I want it drizzled with ranch.” I got there almost an hour later and they claimed they never received an order and it wasn’t made. So I asked them to make it and I would be back. When I got back to get my pizza, they did make it but couldn’t be bothered to make it properly. It has a ranch base when I specifically asked for a sauce base. And the workers all had attitude with me. Not a very professional experience.

Stopped in on a whim while traveling to Philadelphia. We ordered three sandwiches, ham, an Italian and a turkey. They were all loaded and delicious. Zero issues with this place.

I really hate to leave a negative review. Specially with a one-time visit. First of all there's a dead bird in the parking area. One of the garbage cans is absolutely over full. Looks like the store hasn't been mopped in a day or two. They should pressure wash the outside sidewalk. And last but not least the coolers are leaking. I don't know if it's the seal but three or four of the doors were all full of humidity water. And it was getting on the floor and they had one of those little safety cones out. This place needs a real clean job and it would be nice.
